DVR Households: Only 58% of Broadcast Prime TV viewing is Live

About 17% of households in the US currently have DVRs, according to Nielsen. Within those households, 58% of broadcast primetime viewing takes place live, with 42% occurring through some form of DVR playback.

    DVR ownership is up to almost 18.6m according to the recently released Nielsen Universe Estimates for the 2007-2008 season.
