I have always been curious about how much weight these numbers are given. Take for example, Bionic Woman. The fact that it shows up on the most recorded…is that indicative of the fact that people don’t want to miss it, or is it more indicative of the fact that people who are home are watching it ABC Competition “Private Practice” and recording Bionic Woman? Just curious.

I don’t give these #s much weight even though there is generally very good correlation among the top 10 or so shows and the Nielsen top 10.

It is only indicative of Tivo users selecting shows to be recorded with the “Season Pass” feature. It doesn’t indicate viewing.

Without seeing the raw #s (how many season passes for Grey’s vs. Practice vs. Bionic) it’s hard for me to speculate much.
