I don’t think Avatar has been doing BAD in the ratings, but it’s been very steady since the start of season 3. I don’t believe for a second that the episodes being leaked on the internet have hurt the ratings much at all.
Speaking for myself, I downloaded all of the episodes early on the internet… but I STILL watched each episode as it aired every Friday. I agree with the above poster that Nickelodeon has done a piss poor job of advertising the show, and that’s partially why the ratings have not been as good as they could be.

Avatar is the BEST American show alive right now. Everyone should be watching Avatar.

I definitely agree that Nickelodeon has done a terrible job of advertising the 3rd season of Avatar. If they put in half the effort for advertising Avatar that they have for freakin spongebob, Avatar’s ratings would be a lot better. It almost seems that their lack of advertising is deliberate at this point… To anyone who’s not familiar with Avatar, go watch it now! Your life will never be the same.

I agree with Mark. And Monday Night Football is stuck with its schedule, while in the last half of the season Sunday Night Football is not.

Avatar probably won’t hit that big with its special, sadly. It was leaked onto the internet a week and half ago, and hasn’t yet been eradicated from the internet. Also, Nick will surely do a miserable job advertising for it, just like they’ve miserably advertised for all of this final season (They didn’t play “New season coming!” commercials until a week ahead of it).

Frankly, Avatar deserves much better than Nickelodeon.

P.S. The Day of Black Sun is incredibly amazing, from the buzz on the internet, just so ya know. ;D WATCH IT!

Hmmm, a Spongebob special really did a number. Hopefully Avatar’s Day of Black Sun can pull off similar numbers next Friday, it more than deserves them.

Oh, and I blame the MNF numbers on the low profile teams. Wait for the results of Broncos/Titans, I guarantee they’ll be up.
