Maybe agent michael should ACTUALLY WATCH gossip girl…and the funny thing it was it made MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH BY ACTUALLY BEING ON THE TOP 20!!

Very interesting show!! I usually watch shows like FNL, LOST, BSG, GRey’s, OFFICE, etc…AND I FIND THIS SHOW AMAZING!!!

Seeing Gossip Girl at the bottom makes me happy. Never have I seen such a bad show. it has nothing substantive, or even remotely interesting. Talk about trashy TV.

Ike, we do have the Top 20 shows for the 3 age demos 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 every week at our Top Broadcast by Age. Plus, we include age demo performance in the analysis of our Renew or Cancel? show items, and we have the 18-49 demo information in our Overnight ratings posts. We understand advertiser interest in the age demos, but we've made the editorial decision to feature average viewers as the general measure on the site, because for most people that's what they're used to seeing and it's what most other media reports.

Rena, you are drawing conclusions based on the info presented above, which is incredibly misleading — ABC’s target demo is adults 18-49. They don’t care about viewers age 50+ because most advertisers, who are horribly ageist, don’t care about viewers age 50+. ABC doesn’t even report total viewers numbers or household ratings to their OWN AFFILIATE stations every morning. Only demo ratings.

Pushing Daisies is getting decent ratings among adults 18-49 when not aired on a holiday (a 3.1 in the demo on Nov. 14). Meanwhile, Women’s Murder Club is sinking fast among adults 18-49 (a 1.8 on Nov. 16). It skews very, very, very, very old.

Personally I wouldn’t hold that against WMC but advertisers don’t agree. You can bet that advertisers will consider PD a much bigger success than WMC.

Retention for Samantha Who? is good compared to predecessors that aired after Dancing.

Private Practice might not be meeting ABC’s expectations. It’s a spin-off of a massive hit but it slipped below CBS’s Criminal Minds in the demo on Nov. 14 and 21.

This site should try to find Live+SD demo numbers, or at least include a disclaimer indicating that the networks’ target audience is adults 18-49, so the total viewer numbers really shouldn’t be taken as definitive indicators of a show’s success or failure.

Bionic woman and Pushing Daisies have to be considered some of the biggest bomb ever recorded by networks. Humongous amount of money were spent promoting them with absolutely no return on the money.

On the Lot did have epsiodes that had fewer viewers (I looked randomly at one that aired the week of 7/30/07, and it had only 2.1m, but it’s probably not fair to compare summer fare to November sweeps.

Has Fox ever had a weekly series get as low ratings as Next Great American Band? (This is a serious question–I am just wondering if any show on the Big Four has lasted as long as this and gotten consistently lower ratings than even the CW’s shows.) How about On The Lot–were ratings higher or lower for OTL? I think OTL ranked higher on average, but I’m not sure.
