Producers Make New Proposal, Writers React Negatively

Our latest (11/26) Show By Show Strike Status is here.

The AMPTP made a new proposal yesterday and the writers reacted negatively. More unofficial reaction here and here. Talks are set to resume Tuesday, December 4.

Conan O’Brien will pay staffers himself, while Tonight Show layoffs begin today.

NBC will add 3 reality series in January, American Gladiators, another The Biggest Loser and a second season of 1 vs. 100, joining the already annouced Celebrity Apprentice for a big helping of reality next year.

Not to be outdone, ABC will start the Dancing with the Stars spinoff, Dance War, on January 7th.
