Disney’s movie Minutemen was the most viewed show on cable for the week, but scandal involving Jamie-Lynn Spears teen pregnancy lifted “wholesome” Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 to the number 2 & 3 spots on this week’s top 20. In terms of cable “ratings” points, Zoey was actually number 1, but in terms of overall viewers she got pushed down a notch by Minutemen, which also scored the #10 spot in addition to the top spot.
The movie Life After People performed tremendously well for the History channel and the movie was the #4 cable show this week and the most watched program on the History Channel in its, uh, history.
SpongeBob could not crack the top 10, instead he merely took EVERY SINGLE SPOT in the last half of the list. So there is no relief this week for haters of the square-panted wonder!
USA managed to keep both hours of WWE RAW in the top 10 and Monk and Psych continue to be top 10 performers. The democratic debates last Monday (1/21) earned CNN another top 10 finish.
Miss America fans: the pageant didn’t make the top 20 in viewers, but 3.63 million tuned in to this past Saturday’s airing on The Learning Channel, up over 50% from last year when it aired on CMT.

Meh, makes me sick. Guess I won’t let it bug me.
But the day that Spongebob finally gets canceled will be one of the happiest days of my life.

Michael: here’s hoping you’re planning on being alive a good long while so you’ll be around to savor that day!

Any data on TLC’s Season Premiere of Trading Spaces, featuring the return of Paige Davis as Host?
I have not watched the show since she left and it was nice to see the old show & format back to “normal”.

Wow. I guess no cared about the last episode ever of Operation: Kids Next Door.

Disney Channel’s newest Original Movie did really well.
It’s good to see Disney back on top.
“here’s hoping you’re planning on being alive a good long while so you’ll be around to savor that day!”
I’m sure nobody thought Rugrats would end either considering what a huge pop culture phenomenon that cartoon show became for Nick.
But that show crashed and burned in the ratings right after its 10 anniversary and was never able to recover.
If that pattern holds true for Spongebob, we’ll only have to deal with around 2 more years of that menace constantly appearing in this list.

Just a note to acknowledge the ever excellent ratings of USA (on a night the major networks seem prepared, even eager, to abandon, no less!)

Spongebob is awesome. Who cares if it gets good ratings? THAT’S BECAUSE THE SHOW WORKED HARD TO GET THERE AND DESERVES IT. I’d like to see YOU make an 8 year running, 22 minute hand-drawn animated series.

You mean Codename: Kids Next Door.
