Jon — it’s hard to do those kind of comparisons the way we produce the tables. A portion of the viewing population for 9pm is contained within the numbers for Gladiators and Dance Wars reported at 8pm, but because the #s reported for those shows were the averages for the whole period (8p-9:30p) it’s not easy to extract the 9pm averages.

Would be easier with half hourly data, which we sometimes see via Berman, but this was not the case with Monday night’s data

Strange ratings numbers among the majors for Monday night. 35 million were watching at 8pm; then, at 8:30, ‘The Captain’ held almost all of the HIMYM viewers. But by 9pm people were switching off (or going somewhere else) – although many who remained switched to 2&1/2 Men (or did they switch on just to watch that?)

Is this usual? Will ‘The Captain’ find a place on the CBS comedy block? Where are the 8pm viewers going?

I watched Prison Break last night, and I realized it would have made a kick-ass movie, and I just hope that in the future they can move it to the big screen, like they did the X-Files (that was such an awesome show)!
