   I really think he is so full of himself that he hasn't the first clue as to the huge hypocrit he shows himself to be when he rants constantly about “fixed news” and his WPITW includes Supreme Court justices, etc. He really sees himself as always the “best person in the world” and his cheer leaders as the ones with TRUE discernment of what greatness is. What a wack job!! How does MSNBC keep him in front of their cameras – How did they so desperate as make HIM their main guy and to co-host election coverage??? And how does Tom Brokaw share the same tube with the guy.
   I'm really am coming to the conclusion that NBC and it's cable division must be the nut job.

   While Olbermann clearly is pretty far left on many issues, he offers these opinions with wit, clarity and humor. This is an opinion show, not a straight news show. Anyone watching a Hannity,O'Reilly or other “Righty” at FOX “opine”, should recognize this for what it is. As far as fair and balanced, it is incredible to me that the FCC allows “fixed news” to continue with this misrepresentation. Watch FOX for any length of time and the rigth-wing/Republican bias is blatant.

   While Olbermann clearly is pretty far left on many issues, he offers these opinions with wit, clarity and humor. This is an opinion show, not a straight news show.     How/why is Keith ‘the tool’ Olbermann acting like a reporter during election coverage over on msnbc? It’s laughable. He’s a former ESPN scoreboard reader and jock sniffer turned bomb thrower with no political background, education or real journalism experience whatsoever. He makes a living doing one thing-hating Bill O’reily and Fox news. His one-sided editorials play like Mad TV skits and to pretend he can present fair or balanced reporting is embarrasing sober adults everywhere. Kieth-you’re a tool. Seriously.

    continuing….KO’s slant in so anti-republican that it’s obvious he suffers from Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS). He burned every bridge over at ESPN before he was banished to the back rooms of ESPN2….so remote was it back then that he started the very first telecast with “welcome to the end of my career”. KO’s one suck-up buddy over there at msnbc (David Shuster) was suspened for accussing Hillary Clinton of “pimping” her daughter and it’s just a matter of time before KO joins him because of an over-the-top statement just like that. Neither are resposible reporters of legitimate news. Keith-go back to reading scores and Dave-stick to Paris/Brintney updates on Entertainment Tonight.

    Jim-good points. Why does Tom Brokaw allow his himself to be pimped out w/ oblermann? Is it msnbc's way of trying to attach crediblity to KO? It's sad, beacause it diminishes Brokaw's legacy each time and you can see the sadness in Tom's eyes whenever they are chaired together. Tom knows the score.

    btw, remember how we laughed out loud when we saw michael moore seated with jimmy carter at the DNC convention? We laughed and cheered because we knew how that image would be received by the average voter. Well, we can feel the same way again every time KO opens his mouth. When KO speaks, it's good for conservative politicians . The average voter is a lot more intelligent than KO gives credit and he will be gob-smacked once again when Republicans win yet another presidential election in 08. Of course, there will be accusations of rigged election because that is the only explanation his ilk will understand. Surely the elections must be rigged, how else could those stupid Republicans win?
    And let’s remember, that when Dems won back the House and Senate in 06 that there wasn’t one accusation of voter impropriety. None. Not by politians and not by the media. Do you think that will happen if Dems don’t win the White house? I seriously doubt it. And I expect “the tool” to lead the charge.

Olbermann never claimed to be “fair and balanced.” His is clearly a left leaning opinion show and has never claimed to be fair and balanced-as is constantly being touted by “fixed news.” FOX never advises the viewer when they transition from straight news to opinion pieces. It's OK to offer one or the other but don't mislesd by claiming to be unbiased. I'm afraid some viewers listen to the many FOX conservative pundits and think it is NEWS. I disagree with Limbaugh 98.94% of the time, but at least he acknowledges his bias. Although I don't agree with Limbaugh's misguided view of the world I will readily acknowledge he, as with Olbermann, is also witty and talented. You can be very good at your job and still be wrong about almost all of which you bloviate.

    You are being very nitpicky by saying that Fox News should advise everyone when they shift from straight news to opinion pieces. Do you want them to stick a warming label on the TV every time? Anyone watching with any degree of intelligence can see the difference between the news anchors and Bill O'Reilly. No other network has any disclaimer like that, just look at MSNBC or CNN, they don't do that either yet you failed to call them out. Is that your bias showing with a double standard? A disclaimer like that is not needed, yet “straight” news anchors on other networks like with Dan Rather and his false reporting of Bush show their bias all the time, the “straight” media is overwhelmingly left-biased, anyone looking at the full spectrum of “news” outlets objectively will see that. Studies have been done that also support that, so the blame is not on fox news which has straight news and opinion pieces, it is on the biased liberal media at large for being unfair and not balanced. Bill O'Reilly is not a straight news man, and he doesn't claim to be. He is upfront about what he believes and his opinions. Olberman is similar, there is nothing wrong with the format in either case. But I will say O'Reilly at least has the guts to debate people with differing opinions and although sometimes he can be rough or abrasive, he tries to give people a fair chance, but he doesn't let them say things that are contradictory or untrue, he calls them on things when their stories don't add up and sometimes that means he has to get tough with them. Many of the guests are very sketchy and need to be called out, that is what the public wants, someone who will stand up to the bad stories and outright lies that people tell. All Olberman does is pick apart soundbites and video clips that may or may not be in context and tries to make jokes out of them, I really don't think he is concerned with presenting the opposing view in a fair light, he just wants to be funny and act superior. People don't like that, people want fair debate and that's why O'Reilly kills Olberman in the ratings.

For all you keith haters…Countdown’s ratings have steadily increased to 677,000 viewers a day and is the highest rated program on MSNBC.I realize FOX is a much bigger station than MSNBC and the right wingers have nothing better to do than watch O’Reilly talk about lynching Michelle Obama.
