That is one amazingly steady DVR following for Sarah Connor. Live viewership kept dropping, but even going back to the premier, DVR usage hovers right around 1.8 million.
It seems like a lot of other shows are all over the place with their DVR numbers. Any reason why Sarah Connor is different?

Frank, of course there’s a reason:

To Tom’s point about Jericho, note that Boston Legal, which was opposite Jericho that week had even more time-shifted viewers than Jericho.
NBC ran a Law&Order:SVU repeat which had a Live+7 viewership of 9.454 million, and a timeshifting increase of 3.4%, which you’d expect since reruns are rarely highly time-shifted.

Is there a chance Boston Legal will be renewed? It’s numbers aren’t too hot right now. I really like the show, so I’m hoping the final 6 episodes rebound in the ratings.

Andy — purely speculative but anecdotally it seems BL sells a lot of DVDs. If ABC is willing to pick up according to Jim for its syndication value, the same may be true for BL with the added benefit of DVD revenue.

Mmmm….Summer Glau. Already starting to miss Terminator.

remember BL had a lead in of something like 4 million from carpoolers. they have pretty good numbers considering that. on the negative side, BL is produced by Fox not ABC so ABC has no real interest in the syndicated value of it. it was just sold into syndication, as well as to ION. so with the dvd sales… if ABC passes maybe Fox would find another place for it.

A real potpourri of different types of shows in this list. I think it says something about each – and viewers habits – but not sure what.
If I were a Net/Boss, I would pay attention to these numbers. They portend the future of TV, to some degree. If I were a producer, I would not mind my show making this list (theoretically). It may not be good for business, but I know that I only DVR my favorites, so I would be projecting that same process on my viewership.
(p.s. – I’ll mention this here as well as Sunday’s Nielsen results… haven’t rec’d my daily email from TVbtN in a coupla days – what’s up with that.
