Well, I think the biggest disservice was sticking it after BB. A show which I can’t stand but which actually has caused people (generally parents) to get lividly angry about if brought up in conversation. People really really HATE that show. Sure it has it’s “niche” viewers, (gee, god forbid you get only one group of niche viewers) but the rest of the people just hate it. I can’t say that about Jericho. The people I got to watch it this year, simply hadn’t heard of it. (Which tells you something about the promotional efforts previous to, oh, Episode 5 of Jericho this season.)

What’s funny is, I’m a huge life long Star Trek fan and Jericho gives me the same “aura” as the ST shows. And in fact, is pretty close to supassingmy love of ST or at least equaling it. So, honestly, it all depends on what suits different people.

Agree with Patsy, the very reasons you don’t like it I do. And yeah, LOST has mystery but I’ve become very very doubtful if it isn’t just mystery for mystery’s sake and THAT is boring.

Nothing is going to save this show except the producers moving it to a different network and everyone taking a nice big paycut. Which I don’t see happening.

…then again…I guess we should all just let the anger go…and let Jericho go, if we have to. It just seems like a losing battle now. This show was just obviously not a good fit with the other CBS offerings. They do promote their flagship shows well. For whatever reason, Jericho just wasn’t happening.

As I have mentioned before, I think our anger really IS best directed at the network who assumed that the fans were going to go out and “recruit new viewership for the broadcast” without promotion, without a decent timeslot, without re-airing Season 1 up against the beginning of Season 2, without catch-up eps, etc, etc. JD and David, I completely agree with you. It is hard for me to feel ANY kindness for CBS any more, when they tout the success of “juggernauts” like Idol and Lost as their benchmark. Then, they don’t look at what those two networks are DOING to promote those two shows. Heck, Idol is broadcast and promoted so often, it needs its own network. And, there were so many reruns and catch-ups of Lost (they STILL air the previous week’s ep right before the current week’s ep!), I thought I would just about scream. But, hey…it grabs the new, or previously casual, viewer; and makes them a fan. CBS, stop making excuses for your complete lack of promotion and marketing skills.

I think Jericho and Dexter on the same night would be a cool match up. Oh how I love those two shows.
