It is a real shame that a television show with an original story line has to be cancelled. If CBS kept Jericho on Wednesday(it’s original day) and at it’s original time slot, chances are it would not be cancelled. I think this is CBS’s way to get rid of it. There are many shows that CBS could cancel and not be missed at all. The money saved from those shows could be used on a show that is actually interesting to watch. Plus it is a shame that the ratings only pertain to the United States I am from Canada and many of my friends, family and
co-workers all watch Jericho faithfully! Hopefully another TV Network will pick it up!

I have been depressed ever since I heard the news! I can tell you this – I will not watch another CBS new series ever again! I hope a more intelligent network like SCIFI picks it up and runs with this amazing show that does have a true following even if CBS won’t admit it.

I was devastated to hear Jericho wasn’t going to be renewed. I’m 59, live in rural Arkansas, and it has been a long time since I’ve been rivited to the TV with a well written, fast paced TV series. My Niece and Nephew in Kansas also are avid viewers, and we call each other several times during the show, just to comment on the events. It will be a sad day tomorrow when I view the final show. Congrats to the writers, editors and actors of JERICHO, you were fablous!!

A very sad day indeed. Not sure if they show was or is being shopped around to other networks, but I certainly hope so, even if the outcome is nothing.

6 million (live) nobodies. Some channels would kill for that. As nice as it was that CBS greenlighted the show and I AM thankful for what I have of Jericho, its still more viewers than a lot of network shows get. But not CBS standards. And honestly, no, NOT every one has a DVR. The company I work for doesn’t have DVR capability on our digital end. Not a huge amount of customers, no, but there are a lot of people in the U.S that still don’t have DVRs. My customers have to use their long distance to get TiVO. And thus where video streaming comes in. My rural customers (most of them) CAN get shows via download and streaming. But we in the non-populated zones aren’t wanted viewers anyway. It’s just disgusting that there is nothing else on TV I’m interested in. I wish there was. I wish I just loooooved all those popular shows. But I find the scripted ones tedious and pretty much running their genres dry with “spinoffs” and reality tv, well, I can’t tell you how much I hate THAT. So, I guess I’ll get netflix for entertainment and pretty soon, all my TV will be for is news.

did you all know, Jericho origonally was only suppost to have 11 episodes? Then it was so popualr that they extended it into a first season… then they canceled it after that… then its popular again they bring it back, then they can it again… WTH IS THIS!

I’ll miss it and have seen every episode. I moved last spring so this year I’ve watched all but 1 of them online only, and plowed through the last 3 last night, not knowing til this morning that Tuesday’s will be the last. t’s rather depressing if you really think about it, because we could soon find ourselves in the situation the fictional town of Jericho is in. I’ve tried to get some pointers on how to survive lol. Maybe the show will on another network, who knows.
