Incredible to see how fast TSCC has created such an big fanbase in so little time. Remember, the show is just 9 episodes old with 2 back to back episodes. If Prison Break can get 22 episodes TSCC must also get that number especially since we were deprived of the prospect of a prom containing a Terminator fight sequence.

I’ve watched it! It was pretty awesome! They actually mentioned Summer! Actually they didn’t but the dialogue goes something like this:

The scene involved two guys talking about the movies, Miles Dyson and the new Terminator tv show.
One guy asks why would SkyNet build a petite 17-year-old killer robot, and the other guy responds ‘maybe they are kinky?’ Something like that.

Awesome, isn't it? btw, Summer fans (which is probably everyone still checking this thread), I just heard that T:SCC and Summer got some worship from a place I never would have expected: CBS. The T:TSCC-fandom appears to be coming from all angles these days, the show was featured in the opening dialog of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory yesterday! I'm curious if anyone saw this episode? Robert? You watch that show don't you?

Remember the last 2 episodes of TSCC had no lead-in. It was it’s own lead in and those numbers still dwarf NA’s latest numbers. The House repeat gained a lot of viewers in the last half hour yet they vanished like thin air when NA aired. IMO both shows had equal opportunities but TSCC came out on top. Don’t forget the demo in which NA scores considerably lower ratings than TSCC. Ofcourse the quality of both shows should be taken into account. TSCC also wins that easily but that’s a matter of taste, and that is just my opinion. If anything CL is the big victim here. It never had the benefit of an AI lead-in and was doomed from the start. The only hope for NA is the Friday “death slot” right after Bones. Yesterday proved it can’t hold it’s own on a Monday. One last thing, TSCC constantly improved in it’s second half hour while NA seems to be bleeding almost every week.

I think for shows with 20 million viewers or more, the lead-in is important if for no other reason that promoting the lead-out. I think the networks main goal is to establish a routine. In some cases they succeed (CBS Monday, Wed and Thur), ABC, at least when it has DWTS has Sun, Mon, Tue, Thu, etc. There are quite a few days a week though where the networks struggle to create a routine.

In the new world, I don’t know that they can reasonably expect to more than 3 or 4 days a week.

Again, lead-in has some value around huge anchor shows. Idol, DWTS, CSI, Grey’s, Desperate Housewives, and I suppose Law & Order. There aren’t many of them.

Robert, there have been some rumors that if a second season gets the greenlight from FOX, the T4 people want to discuss incorporating some of the series elements into the movie.

I am HOPING that means Summer gets a part. That would just be incredible.

Also, the thinking (okay, the rumor) is that since Warner Brothers has a hand in both T4 and SCC, they might make a season two pretty attractive price-wise to FOX, and make it up with DVD sales.

Nothing against NA, but last I checked Sarah Connor never got the benefit of Idol lead-ins. Prison Break was a questionable lead-in, and Moment of Truth was a terrible lead-in. Completely incompatible fan bases.

In fact NA and Sarah Connor probably would have done better if FOX had just paired them both on the same night. At least it’s a similar audience. As it is, I think for next season FOX should seriously consider pairing TSCC with Dollhouse. That way all the Summer/Firefly/Whedon/Buffy/Eliza/Angel/Terminator fans can tune in on the same night.
