If you pay for TV you should not see advertisements. They should pay us to be bombarded by ads. TV has been ruined by comercials that play too loud and too frequent. We are being treated like brainless sheep. Get a DVR or be brainwashed!

The solution is simple!
Stop subscribing to these commercial laden paupers!
They suck no more than the the add agencies that trick them into believeing that they are necesssary!
I cancelled my subscription in 2002 and have never regretted a day of it. We are better off buying the DVD and skipping past all the commercial garbage. Satellite or Cable, screw them all, along with our reps. in congress they aren't worth the time of day!

Barney Frank, What an Idiot, need I say more!

Jawick, I've told him but he's not the TV fiend I am, and when it comes to sports, even *I* want to watch live. This is the only thing the networks and cable companies have going for them: live programming and people's desire to watch it. Without that, the current TV business would almost completely be destroyed in the coming years. But I think the desire to watch live programming, especially sports, will never go away. So CBS et al and Comcast and DirecTV can breathe a sigh of relief.

Tell your brother to invest in a dvr. I've lived comercial free since 1997 thanks to Dish Network. I then purchased a dvd recorder, so I have no need for expesive dvd sets or waiting for their eventual releases.
