Nielsen Ratings for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

TVbytheNumbers.com should have been doing this table all along, but we’re hoping “she’ll be back” and we’ll get another crack at real-time ratings updates for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in the Fall. Nielsen is no longer providing us with as much robust age demographic data as they used to (since they’re not making us pay anything, we’re not complaining!) but we have included the 18-49 demographic viewers wherever they were available, and fortunately TSCC made the weekly top 18-49 shows (limited to top 25) provided by Nielsen all but one week of its run.Lacking 18-34 and 25-54 age demographics, I’ve included the LIVE+7 viewer numbers along with the LIVE+SD viewing numbers. LIVE+SD= live viewing plus same day (the show aired) DVR viewing. LIVE+7 = live viewing with a weeks worth of DVR viewing.

A couple of notes: FOX aired the first episode following an NFL playoff game. The game itself averaged over 40 million viewers (better than American Idol!) and the post-game coverage that led directly into the premiere of TSCC had over 32 million viewers. FOX ran the next episode the next night (1/14) where Prison Break with 7.87 million viewers was its lead-in.
