| Total Viewers (million) | 6.99 | 5.06 | 3.85 | 3.48 |

With NCAA basketball finished up, FOX was back on top, but this time with NASCAR. While not stellar performance, it was certainly on par with the typical Cops/America’s Most Wanted fare, and FOX took both total viewers and the 18-49 demo easily.
NBC was in second with its all Law & Order repeats lineup.
CBS ran something called The Lord’s Boot Camp, and it looks as though the Lord decided to smite Nielsen households as a result. Boot Camp generated the lowest CBS numbers I ever recall seeing: 2.42 million and a 0.8/3 in the 18-49 demo. Maybe they should have stuck a repeat of the one and done Secret Talents of the Stars. A repeat of CSI: NY at least cracked the 4 million mark and 48 Hours Mystery just snuck over 5 million viewers.
First Les Moonves gave himself a 29ish percent raise last year when CBS’ net income had fallen 25%, then he sticks his wife’s Big Brother and its low ratings on to fill in while the writers recover from the strike with fresh scripted episodes, then he lets whoever came up with Secret Talents of the Stars and The Lord’s Boot Camp keep their job. Meanwhile the stock is down another 20% this year.
Even with all that CBS still beat the ABC repeat of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Someday when I grow up, I want to be just like Les Moonves. A wife 21 years my junior and getting paid $37 million dollars a year (and having CBS pick up my NY state and local taxes to boot) while the stock price fell from nearly $36/share to nearly $21/share. That’s good clean living right there. Soooo jealous.

Maybe they should have aired a special episode of Big Brother instead. Maybe Big Brother could have pulled a minimum of 3.5 viewers for CBS on a Saturday

Josh — I think BB would’ve done better than the CSINY repeat and maybe even 48 hours mystery and a 2.0+ in the demo.
