I've had Comcast HD and it is very hit-or-miss. All of their digital service is, actually. It never looked very good. I've got RCN now (which gives out one free digital box to each household) and their HD is great. The only thing is, in order to really feel the full effects you need to use an HDMI cable to connect to your tv. The regular composite connections sometimes don't reflect a change between regular digital and HD as well. That sucks. I've had Comcast HD and it is very hit-or-miss. Here in rochester, ny (time warner) we are forced to watch BSG in SD. Ever since getting an HDTV, watching something in SD is almost painful. I'm just jealous you get sci-fi in HD at all.
