Season To Date Top Broadcast Shows though May 4

Two And A Half Men Moves Up to #15 Adults 18-49 STD
American Idol continues to hold the top two spots in the season to date race for both adults 18-49 and total viewers. However, both the Tuesday and Wednesday airings lost both season to date viewers and adults 18-49 compared to their averages last week.
Desperate Housewives numbers turned up this week and it raised both its STD viewers and adults 18-49 averages, and it easily maintained the #3 spot for 18-49 and the #6 spot for total viewers.
Last week, I thought that House would start moving down in the rankings beginning this week, but the Nielsen STD averaging process counts separate timeslot airings of a show as different shows. So while the Monday night airings of House have been well down from its Fall airings on Tuesdays, they are counted as a separate show, and appear on the adults 18-49 ranking at #20. Presumably the Tuesday STD averages will remain the same for the rest of the season (since it will not air on Tuesday again), and will likely keep House at its current position.

CSI moved up one spot in the STD adults 18-49 rankings to #16, past Two and a Half Men, which had passed it just the week before. CSI also moved up in the average viewer ranks to #9 just ahead of NBC Sunday Night Football.
Grey’s Anatomy moved ahead of Moment of Truth to #12 in the average viewers STD ranking.
Two and A Half Men moved up two spots in the STD average viewer rankings to #15, past Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.
As discussed above, the Monday 9PM airings of House made the adults 18-49 list at #20 displacing Survivor:Micronesia which moved down to #21.
