Friday night may be an off night for the broadcast networks these days, and Univision capitalizes on it with the two highest rated shows in the 18-34 demo for the entire evening.  Fuego en La Sangre was the #1 18-34 show of the evening, but we’ve written about Fuego several times before.  The season finale of Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008, a reality/beauty competition was the #2 show in the 18-34 demo for the evening and #1 from 10pm-11pm.   Univision issued a press release with lots of age and gender breakouts for the show:

  • Kids 2-11:                    566,000

The press release notes that the Friday finale had more 18-34 year olds than Gossip Girl, and One Tree Hill (and Smallville and Supernatural and Boston Legal, Supernanny, Wife Swap, Without a Treace, Law & Order, Medium, The Big Bang Theory…and more).  The results were impressive in the demo even for the whole week. For Friday night Univision was:

• #1 among Adults 18-34
• #1 among Women 18-34
• #1 among Men 18-34
• #2 among Kids 2-11, beating ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX
• #2 among Adults 18-49, beating ABC, NBC, FOX and CW
• #2 among Women 18-49, beating ABC, NBC, FOX and CW
• #3 among Men 18-49, beating ABC, NBC and FOX
• #3 among Viewers 2+, beating NBC, FOX and CW
