Silly polls for a very slow weekend. But what would make the better animated series or comic book? Jericho, Moonlight or Hannah Montana? I originally had SpongeBob on the list, but am saving that for a “SpongeBob vs. Stewie, Who Ya Got?”. Why Hannah Montana? Because the focus on Miley Cyrus is crazy lately. Today I read some junk on a TECHNOLOGY blog where they were running a story about Cyrus having pictures on her MySpace where she <gasp> was acting like a teenager. OMG, OMG, OMG, OMFG!
Puh-leez, leave this poor girl alone. I find it far more distressing and annoying when women around my own age (45) have pictures on their MySpace or Facebook where they are acting like teenagers. Of course sites like Facebook perpetuate such idiotic behavior. The last ad I saw on Facebook was for a “mature singles” site with a picture of a woman (who was probably 30) saying she’s “45, got a tattoo in January, what’s life without experiences?”
Oh yeah, that’s what I want to do, date some 45 year old with a mid-life crisis who went out and got a tattoo as a New Year’s resolution. Where are all the technology blogs writing about those people? They’re nowhere to be found because Miley’s Myspace pictures will draw a lot of traffic. But here she is as a more wholesome Disney-esque Hannah Montana.
What would make a better animated series or comic book?

- Hannah Montana (22%, 330 Votes)

i am a jericho fan so i voted to moonlight simply bc i think that making jericho a cartoon would be an utter insult to television
I want to make my own comic book one day, & maybe even be able to feature it at The Alternative Press Expo, and I know both Moonlight, and Jericho would sell to boys way better than Hannah Montana.
it could be really good if hannah montana was a comic book or animated series and it could help disney out
For all my respect for cartoons, which are an artform in their own right, Jericho and Moonlight are among the very best television series ever made, objectively (sorry Hannah Montana: don't know you so I have no opinion there).
Suggesting to turn them into cartoons, in this context, is an insult.
Aside from that, I refuse to vote in any poll that pits Jericho and Moonlight against each other. I happen to be a Moonlighter, but beyond that what is at stake is the future of original programming, which is put on the air "just in case" viewers might magically realise it's there, not being deemed worthy of decent promotion, and then even when they have fair ratings despite these odds, are still looked down upon and get messed around (Jericho's senseless hiatus; Moonlight being pushed kicking and screaming into procedurals, with no respect for the people who made it a success in the first place, move which is likely responsible for its slight loss of viewers post strike). And then of course, who better to blame but the victims: "sorry your ratings aren't quite as high as we would dream", and off they get ripped off the air.
Both Moonlighters and Jericho Rangers understand this quite well, and are uniting forces as "MoonRangers".
If any other victim of this senseless slaughter decides to join too, all the better.
Divided we fell, United we shall rise again.
