CBS Wins Viewer Race, Fox Takes Adults 18-49

In the first entirely “post-season” week of the summer, CBS took the weekly crown for average viewers for the week of May 26 – June 1, 2008 with an average of 7.33 million, beating Fox by more than 1.25m.
Summertime or not, Fox continued to win the weekly 18-49 contest with an average of 3.13 million adults in the demo, ahead of ABC (in a tight group with CBS & NBC) by about 750,000 adults.
We didn’t get data this week for either adults 18-34 or 25-54. I’d expect that data to be back next week though. Update: The 18-34 and 25-54 data appeared. Enjoy.

ABC was second place in adults 18-49 with 2.39 million and third in average viewers with 5.52 million.
NBC while fourth in both average viewers and adults 18-49, had a better week vs. the competition than it did in the waning weeks of the 2007-8 season when it had largely given up.
Sixth place lock CW saw its summertime viewership fall to but 1.75 million and adults 18-49 to just 820,000.
