And they’re getting out their wallets, too. From a press release by the folks at www.savejerichoagain.com:
Through yet another massive fundraising effort over the past three weeks, fans – or Jericho Rangers, as they’re often called – have put together over $6,000 to purchase TV advertising in what may be a first for a fan community seeking to show support for a beloved show. The 30-second ad, created by a talented fan with the screen name RubberPoultry, begins airing June 12th in a ten-day run that hits popular, ratings-rich shows, such as “Ghost Hunters” on the on the SciFi Channel, “Deadliest Catch” on the Discovery Channel, and other programs on the History Channel.
Here’s the commercial spot:

Excellent Job on the commercial spot Rubberpoultry! –CHOG
People, Jericho is deader than disco, move on already.
Thanks for spreading the word about the fight to Save Jericho!

Way to go Jericho fans!
Thanks for helping to get the word out. This commercial looks great, thanks to RP and Brad Beyer.
Thanks for the acknowledgement! Love the ad, love the show.
no
Any way to hide this from the Moonlight kooks?
Great job on the ad RP. Jericho is an excellent family show that deserves a new home because there are many fans waiting to see the next season. I hope this ad and the Billboard will find that for us.
Thank you, Robert, for your coverage of this effort. Much appreciated!
Geez I wish I loved a show that much… anyone have any recommendations? You guys (Robert & Bill) should do a post on the best shows (past & present) that people may not know about. If you feel compelled to bring a numbers game into it, why not use DVD sales. I think it would be good for the Summer…
Thanks for the article! I love this show!
Jericho rocks and so do the fans!!
When are people going to let go of this? It is not going to be resurrected. They did that once, and it was a disaster because no one tuned in. No one will make the same mistake again.
Thanks for the coverage. Jericho will be back!
I strongly believe that Jericho will be back. Its buzzmaking and trailblazing ability (mostly due to its rockin fans) will pull it through once more.

For those of you holier-than-thou moonlight fans who speak of Jericho's 'failure' ratings-wise the second time around, I would just like to point out that a) CBS never gave it a fair shake and any self respecting network is aware of this (heads up people – they aren't stupid!) and b) it did much better than moonlight in its first season. Thus, if Jericho did better than moonlight and then was brought back and 'failed', then why even try to resurrect moonlight? Surely it is destined to fail as well? Oh right, you moonlight fans continue your efforts because you like the show and its quality television …. the same mantra that we Jericho fans abide by! See, we aren't enemies after all …

When moonlight was cancelled, I and many other Jericho fans crossed over and express our condolences. I only wish you could be as gracious as us.
You mean this show wasn't cancelled after the first horrible week???
Dear JerichoHolics, move on, come out of your parents basements, and join the Lost Losers in getting jobs at McDonalds or something.

PS – Heroes is L33T HIZZIT
I've been looking and looking for when the new series starts up. I'm not much of a TV watcher but this is a show I really enjoy, I caught up on all the past episodes and was looking so forward to the new series starting up. I hope they don't take this show off the air because most things they have on TV aren't even worth my time to watch.
Hang on, just because you don't like something doesn't mean that other people have to agree with you. Does the campaign affect you in any way? If not why not just butt out and let the fans of this brilliant series do what they have to for it's renewal?

I happen to think that this show is a million times better than a lot of junk on TV, but you don't have to watch anything you don't want to, do you?

Perhaps this isn't the best place to post messages like yours as I do believe it's meant to be primarily for fans.
i've been flipping back and forth between this thread the the moonlight "jilted fans" story comments and as strange as it sounds, the jericho nuts are less obnoxious and the moonlight people.
@ here i am : Moonlight fans obnoxious? Well, considering there are around 8 million of us, there are bound to be a few dodgy ones around! Are you saying that ALL of Jericho's fans are wonderful people? Really?

The Moonlight fans are riled up over on the other thread because of the condescending and insulting tone in which it was written. At least in this article, Mr Seidman keeps to the simple facts – the latest (and may I say, highly impressive,) attempt in your campaign to save Jericho. Go over to that "jilted fans" article again and replace every mention of Moonlight there with the word "Jericho" and just consider how you (and the other Rangers) would react if it had been written about your show and your fanbase.

As far as your previous post regarding "holier-than-thou moonlight fans who speak of Jericho's 'failure' ratings-wise the second time around" I guess I must've missed something, somewhere, because the only comment on this thread about Jericho's ratings was posted by 'angie' who doesn't actually mention her TV viewing preferences. Remember, we Moonlight fans relate to the Networks' bad scheduling and ratings B.S. too!

I came by this thread because I'm a member of the MoonlightLine site, where we have a dedicated Jericho forum. We've welcomed the Rangers to our board just as we've been welcomed and supported by them on Jericho sites across the 'net. At the end of the day, we're all fighting for the same thing – the return of what we consider to be quality TV programming. Whilst I have never watched Jericho, my husband has, so as far as I'm concerned if we can lend a hand in each other's campaigns, where's the problem? I'm amazed and inspired by the Ranger's efforts so far, and by what you've achieved. I just don't see why some people find it acceptable for the Rangers to fight for Jericho, but label Moonlight fans "kooks" (Thanks for that, Sandy!) for doing the same for our own show.

Good luck to all the Jericho Rangers in your campaign. It's time the networks started listening to the people who matter – THE VIEWERS!

Oh and before I forget – thanks to Okjayhawkgirl for the support!
