On a sleepy summer Sunday, CBS took the viewer win with 7.04 million [over NBC with 6.58 million], but as usual performed poorly in the adults 18-49 demo, finishing fourth. NBC won the demo with a 2.0 rating / 6 share [over ABC with a 1.8/6] with the line up of Summer Olympic Trials and Dateline [surely a good $/demo investment]. Fox had fewer than half of CBS’s viewers, but outdrew it in the demo [1.6/5] with a rerun line up. That it happens in the summer is not Les Moonves’ concern. That it continues in the Fall is his nightmare.
