Free from MLB All-Star competition, NBC rode it’s summer flagship America’s Got Talent [#1 viewership for the night with 12.95 million] to a win for viewers with an overall 9.01 million for the night [over ABC with 7.42 million]. Speaking of flagships, ABC’s bright spot this summer has been Wipeout [#1 demo for the night with 3.6/12] which helped it win the adults 18-49 demo for the night with an overall 2.7 rating / 8 share [vs. NBC with a 2.3/7].
Second tier unscripted shows slipped from the previous week, with Celebrity Family Feud down 500,000 viewers and 0.2 demo rating points and I Survived a Japanese Game show down 80,000 viewer and 0.2 demo ratings points. I think Feud is teetering on the edge now, and any more declines will put ISAJGS there too. Big Brother, on the other hand, pretty much matched its numbers from last week.
Fox reruns were uncompetitive and CBS as usual underperformed in the demo, finishing in a tie for fourth with Univision.
