I think there's a good chance Letterman will beat Conan before Ferguson even gets the chair.

NBC “Tonight,” 4.5 million viewers
CBS “Late Show,” 3.0 million viewers

…I had no idea it was that close actually. Of course everyone is looking at the following numbers:

NBC “Late Night,” 1.7 million viewers
CBS “Late Late Show,” 1.4 million viewers

It's interesting, because O'Brien reminds me of Letterman and Ferguson reminds me of Leno.

Who is going to fill Dave's spot when he leaves? If Ferguson is the choice, I feel CBS could have the #1 spot…something they haven't seen since 95!
