Me too, plus I like that the NFL games come on at 10am Sunday morning! and like you, appreciate that the Sunday and Monday night NFL games typically ending hours before bed time. Having spent most of my life (35 out of 46 years) on the east coast, I'm now solidly a "west coast is the best coast" guy, at least in terms of sports viewing and weather.

The Olympics are the only major sport that the West Coast gets screwed on with the Live Events. The All Star Game here didn't go after midnight like it did back East.

I always thought its a big advantage being on the West Coast for Major Sports events (like Sunday Night or Monday Night Football and so on) because they end here at a descent time. I will gladly take that tradeoff for the minor Olympics annoyance.

The Olympic bug has bit me. NBCU is doing a good job with its presentation and having at least one network airing coverage at all times. Now that I have an HDTV, its even better to watch.

I fully expect the 17 night ratibgs average to be the highest since 96, perhaps even 92 games.

Good for NBC, putting womens volleyball - beach and otherwise - on the net while reserving the mach crap for USA. If anyone has a problem with men deriving some aesthetic joy from beautiful bodies in motion - go live in Saudi Arabia. If Jason Kidd can watch with impunity, so can we lesser mortals. Plus, watching the Japanese-USA indoor match was a lesson in strategy versus brawn worthy of any sport.
