We were told that she doesn't feel emotion - at least, not at this point - and only pretends to when she's around strangers. If she doesn't experience pain or pleasure, why would she scowl or seem uncomfortable while fighting a terminator? Why would she smirk or have a look of concern on her face when no one else - including the Connors - is around to notice. She may sometimes do things that only an emotionless being would, but some of her other behavior is not......robotic?......enough for me to suspend disbelief. Maybe the writers are screwing with us and it will turn out that Cameron has always been capable of experiencing emotion on some level. If not, I'd say they've been very inconsistent in how they've presented their newest cyborg model. Her loss of social skills by episode 2 is proof of that. Again, I know that most people love Summer's performance thus far. As someone who is accustomed to seeing terminators portrayed as true machines, however, it tends to take me out of the story when one of them always seems too human. Had we seen a stark contrast between her terminator side and her human side, it would have been easier for this viewer to suspend disbelief. If the plan is to have Cameron evolve to where she can truly feel things, I think the writers should have waited until this season to begin showing signs of that. That's just my opinion.
