Whilst watching FNC each eve., I tend to click to MSNBC during a commercial break, I always laugh listening to Olbermann rant and rave, I think his audience must be in their late teens, or early twenties, the way he explains his thoughts, his current rant at this time is
Obama, and how he will fix the U.S. with a small Tax increase, then his other rant are the houses owned by McC.
I don't see how it is possible for MSNBC
"Countdown" to carry an audience after the Election is over.

The reason I watch O' Rielly because he debates the subjects of the day. It is amazing to be the Obama is scared to go on that show because he's worried about pissing off his base.

Obermann should try debating something on his show just once...instead of having a guess that answers always begins with "You're right Keith"

The reason people are still watching O'Reilly is because they're waiting for him to whip out his loofah again.

FNC will always dominate the ratings, ahead of MSNBC, even if O'Reilly is on one of his frequent a-way days. The American Cable News followers are intelligent folk, so why watch/listen to less on MSNBC?

Nick, there is a way, but it essentially boils down to buying the data or working some place that does. It's very rare we see those numbers at all, let alone on daily basis.

Correction: CNN doesn't get creamed, but it has lost a good portion of its lead over MSNBC. Not long ago, the cable news ratings were split FNC V CNN and MSNBC V CNNHN. Now its FNC way out in front with CNN V MSNBC. But if you just look at the ad demos, its much closer to a 3 way fight

Yes, FNC dominates in the ratings, virtually no matter what. And they will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. But if the White House switches parties, expect a shakeup in the ratings. I don't expect any position switching though.
Yes, Olbermann's fans cheer every time Olbermann passes O'Reilly in the advertiser demos. And every time they fall back down, accompanied by silence. And they will continue to cheer on the rises. Cheer the rips, ignore the dips!
Irrational? Yes. That isn't gonna stop them.
And yes, CNN get creamed by both. But they are still all making money!

Where are all the Huffington Post Olbermann supporters now? They were touting and celebrating May 19th that Olbermann smackdown O'Rielly only to have O'Reilly trounces Olbermann in the Ratings June 23rd.. and ever since. T he comment above that ....it appears that even without O'Rielly being on the factor, FNC still easilty bested Olbermann and CNN documentary. .. is very telling.
