Update 9/3/08: so as not to compete with the Emmy Awards the Sunday night CW lineup (now being programmed by MRC) is moving the premieres from Sunday 9/21/08 to 10/05/08. I’ve updated the table below.
Update 9/12/08: The premiere for Samantha Who has been pushed back from Monday 10/6 to Monday 10/13.

Do you know when Medium is starting?
“Law & Order”, “Medium”, and “Friday Night Lights” return to NBC Winter 2009. No dates have been set.
Friday Night Lights will air first on DirectTV this fall. I haven’t seen those dates yet, but they may have been set.

Medium is such a wonderful show! It’s a shame it doesn’t begin until
Winter 2009. Why is that the case?
Jennifer,all networks start some shows – even shows that perform well –during mid-season, for a variety of scheduling reasons. I wouldn’t take it as any slight against Medium though I understand it’s not fun to wait for your favorite shows.
What happen to My Law and Order (Orig.)?
Donna, it’s coming back, but not until sometime in January or so.
What about Nip/Tuck; has it been cancelled, or will there be more?
Sarah, Nip/Tuck is a cable show, these only were for the broadcast network premieres. Nip/Tuck is definitely scheduled to returns this winter (not sure of the premiere date, but seems like January 2009)
Was Courtney Cox Arquette’s show Dirt cancelled?
From what I’ve read, yes, Dirt was cancelled after its second season.

I was looking online for the season premier of my favorite show, Medium, and came across this site. I know it is one of the shows that doesn’t begin until later in the season but I always like to try to find a start date so that I won’t miss it. I noticed that several others have the same question so I thought I would leave a comment and let those who are interested know that I came across another site that lists Monday, January 7th as the Season Premiere for the very popular NBC series.
Monday Jan 7 is January 2008, not 2009. You found the 4th season premiere date.
