For The Woman Who Left Me A Voicemail about *ME* Cancelling CBS Show “Moonlight”

Posted on 02 September 2008 by Robert Seidman

I don’t work for CBS, and I had absolutely nothing to do with the show being cancelled.  I’m sorry you’re disappointed the show was cancelled, but it’s not my fault!

While I considered Moonlight a bubble show and that CBS could’ve gone either way (renew or cancel), I don’t think CBS is idiotic for cancelling the show, but I wouldn’t have thought it was idiotic if they kept it either.

But *I* didn’t cancel the show.

Thank you :)

ROFL! You’re lucky I wasn’t drinking anything when I read this!

  2. Ms. Golightly, I’d say you’re luckier in that case than I. For me it was more of a “WTF!?” moment! ;)

  3. Bill Gorman says:

Readers, Robert is much too modest. His powers are beyond your comprehension. Or so he would have us mere mortals believe.

  4. Susan says:

    LOL.
    Thanks for the laughs, Robert!
    Wow, what a KOOK!

Where do they get these numbers? I’m 42 and watched Moonlight faithfully. And guess what, my 15 year daughter did too. My coworkers watched the show also… so… how do we get counted in our opinion? You can’t tell me that Moonlight did worse than all those reality shows that are out there.

  6. Julia says:

Denise, you are already being counted. Not you specifically, but a Nielsen family who represents both you and your daughter’s demographics.

And Moonlight did do worse than some of the reality shows out there, though not all of them. Unfortunately, reality shows are super cheap to produce, so the ratings requirements for reality are much looser than scripted shows.
