TV Week is reporting that the start of the 12th Season of The View has been good for ratings:
“The View’s” 12th-season premiere week reached new highs for ABC daytime, helping the network rank at the top of the list of broadcast daytime TV ratings among female viewers 18 to 49 years old for the week of Sept. 1. The network placed first with an average 1.3 rating and 830,000 viewers in that age group.
Last week’s season opener of the talk series improved by 3% over the year-ago debut and ranks as “The View’s” second-best season premiere behind 2000-01 among women 18-49. Musical guests New Kids on the Block helped the episode reach a 1.4 rating in its key demographic, giving “The View” its most-watched episode in six weeks.

I have felt the show adds nothing to our society, after the interview with Mccain, I know i am wrong. It adds, disrespect, arrogance and the kind of attitude we are trying to train our children to refrain from. As a Democrat, I am ashamed our your content, glib laughter, usless quips, and arrogant Hollywood elitest ego stroking bull. You will not last much longer because you are only appealing to the bottom of the barrel. Perhaps that allow you to be so superior. Anyone of any intelligence does not watch your show. And now after your grilling of a Mccain, which could have been done with much more respect and then had credibility, your rating will I hope decline and your trashing show will be removed.
PS. My favorite Movie was “Ghost” which I can no longer watch and tolerate Whoppie’s face after her disrespectful remarks. You can take the person out of the gutter, but you cant take the gutter out of the person.
Thank you Linda, I agree with everything you said. Joy sounds like she needs help. She is falling into the gutter and can’t get out. They need to drop “the ladies of the view”, and just call them what they really are.Ill mannered morans. What a bad example they are for the younger generation and the world that watches us. No wonder no one likes the United States. They should have to write 100 times, “If you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all”.
And, remember it’s nice to be important, but more important to be nice!

I think they have a responsibility to the public to be fare.
Its embarrsing….. for women. How do you expect anyone(Men) to take us seriously When we have grown educated, mature women acting like a flock of hens fighting for one COCK!
I have disliked this show from it’s beginnings. Everyone speaking at once never heard a thing anyone said. I never watched it until Rosie and then she became unhinged and I became concerned. Then Whoopi came on the show and I watch to get that all important laugh we all need once in a while, but there are no laughs, no respect for each other or the narrative flow. Joy is nuts…Whoopi is not funny…and Sheri is joke because she needs to be all things to all people…Barbara needs to retire and Elizabeth is radical on the conservative side. No one respects anyone else and if these people really consider themselves friends, which I seriously doubt, they do not know what real friends are…Respectful but honest without being RUDE or condescending. This show is worthless in my view.
This show is horrible!!! I don’t know how it could get any ratings? I watched it after Rosie left and thought that they were going to move things upward. However, this political season has brought out the worst in everyone. All of them screaching at once is to much. Elizabeth is liking the whipping post for the others and is only there so they can say that their show “respects” all points of “The View”. Joy is a socialist. Sherry is still waiting for proof that the world is round. Whoppie nor Barbara offer any objective opinion. They both are confirmed Democrats that will side with anyone that has a “D” after their name. They are the liberal female versions of Hannity and Limbaugh. Most of America is middle of the road. So who’s view is it that they are expressing. A horrible show with no value except to waste one’s time!!!
The view is a waste of airspace! These bickering women do nothing other than cause headaches. Certainly not informative for me, as I can’t get past the “bitchiness” of this program. I hate this show. My old man loves it as he loves a catfight. Ridiculous!
