Supernatural did 3.2+ million last night, but Smallville had 4.1 million. I think keeping 80% of the lead-in versus tougher competition is pretty good. We'll see if CW issues a press release ;-)

@FrankJ: Not every show - Supernatural was up something like 33% from it's premiere last year. :)

Great to here that Supernatural numbers are doing so well, with little drop off from both the season premiere combined with more competition it looks good.

That number for The Office is up 3-4% from last year's early numbers, so since its final numbers were at 9.6 million, it COULD top 10 million, which would be quite excellent. Also, since last season's premiere was a series high in Adults 18-49, this could be too. Best of all though, the episode was quite awesome.

Thanks Robert. I so agree with you. At least ER will end with some dignity, if the next espisodes follow last night's greatness (or even increase it). Looking foward to the rest of the show!

Wow what is up with this season's premieres and the dropping ratings? It seems like every scripted show is opening to lower numbers this year.

Andre ER had a 5.9/10 in the metered market numbers (CSI rerun had a 6.8/11). But I don't think the ratings for ER really matter too much since this is its final season regardless. Glad it was a great episode though!
