Monday Night Ratings: Wins for ABC, CBS and NBC

Posted on 30 September 2008 by Robert Seidman

Scoreboard ABC CBS NBC FOX Uni CW
Total Viewers (million) 16.12 11.54 7.62 5.29 3.92 3.48
Rating/Share: Adults 18-49 3.8/10 3.9/10 3.3/8 2.0/5 1.6/4 1.9/5
Rating/Share: Adults 18-34 2.6/7 2.8/7 3.3/9 1.8/5 1.8/5 2.7/7

Dancing With the Stars led ABC to victory in total viewers, but it was split leadership with CBS winning the 18-49 demo and NBC winning the 18-34 demo (and somewhat handily at that).

The 8pm hour saw the premiere of Chuck get bested by DWTS and The Big Bang Theory/How I Met Your Mother on CBS. While Chuck with 6.62 million in its premiere was down well below its premiere in season one where it did over nine million viewers, it performed OK in both the 18-49 and 18-34 demos (though Gossip Girl beat it among 18-34 year olds). I know some knuckleheads will chime in about how the Chuck premiere has been available on the Internet via Hulu for a week, but we doubt that significantly impacted the numbers. I really love this show, so I hope it turns out I’m wrong and that three million people watched it over the Internet last week. I’d guess more like 300,000. Still Chuck performed better across the board than Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sorry Summer Glau. I still love you, but the numbers are the numbers.

At 9pm Two and a Half Men took the win among 18-49 year olds, but DWTS, 2.5 Men and Heroes were pretty bunched up in that demo. Among 18-34 year olds, Heroes was on steroids, completely dominating the field. The good news for CBS is over at the CW, One Tree Hill had a 2.7/7 with 18-34 year olds – the bad news for CBS is that actually tied with Two and a Half Men.

At 10pm, CSI: Miami won handily across the board. And although the return of Life only brought 6.92 million viewers, with almost three million fewer viewers than Boston Legal, it beat it in both demographics.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Overnight Ratings: Local metered-market ratings service of Nielsen Station Index (NSI) in which household ratings and shares are provided to clients the morning following the day or evening of telecast. While routinely used for “next day” immediate analysis, these fast affiliate ratings are by process inaccurate for programs that air live across a network since they represent affiliate time period performance. For example, last night’s 10-11pm affiliate #’s would reflect 10pm on the East Coast but also 10pm on the West Coast which for a live event would not represent the same broadcast or portion of the broadcast.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

LIVE+SD: The number that watched a program either while it was broadcast OR watched via DVR on the same day [through 3AM the next day] the program was broadcast.

  1. Jackson says:

Fox is getting beat bad every monday night

  2. Anthony says:

I think FOX should move Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles to Wednesday. The programming on that day is not as busy as Monday, and Knight Rider is horrible. Chances are it would do much better. Last night’s episode was fantastic. You gotta love Summer Glau. :)

  3. Andrea says:

After New Amsterdam, Life was my fav show of last season. They both have similar qualities, but I guess not the qualities that appeal to the viewing audience. That shedding of 1 million views and 1.0 demo is terrible. Ugh. Glad that it’s moving to Fridays, although I think it should return to Weds at 10pm.

I looked at Berman’s Winners & Losers list. You guys notice that all of the winners are older skewing shows? Dancing with the Stars, CSI: Miami and 2 1/2 men. Yes, they also win the demo, but the demo is quite low, proportionally. I think there is a story in here somewhere.

All the other winners this last week have been older-skewing shows. Has the strike permanently alienated the younger audience? Or are they just fleeing permanently to DVR and streams?

Maybe the new demo threshold for determining success should be 2.0 instead of 3.0.

  4. Andrea says:

Maybe the new demo threshold for determining success should be 2.0 instead of 3.0.

    Correction: 2.5 instead of 3.

  5. Jackson says:

@ Andrea, Life was prereleased on the internet a week before its premiere, possibly affecting its ratings

  6. Outlander says:

Gee, thanks for the correction, Andrea. Just cut us Terminator fans off at the knees why dontcha? :)

I remain seething at Fox for ruining Terminator by putting it in this time slot. I just hope they at least air out the remaining episodes.

    Damn Fox.

  7. Paul says:

Good news for heroes that it didn’t lose many viewers from last week but the numbers are still pretty bad, Chuck was amazing but the numbers weren’t hopefully it pulls more viewers next week.CW must be pleased with it’s combination of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill, Their demos are great for the low audience that they attract. If this is One Tree Hills final year, which i doubt with these numbers Gossip Girl & 90210 would be a good companion.

  8. Andrea, there is a story there, but they are fleeing mostly for cable and other television offerings we do not see data for. The aggregate share of 18-34 viewers watching the broadcast offerings we do get access too (which is several more than we list, but mostly those nets produce tiny numbers) was ~42%. That means 58% were watching something else.

Last night anyway, I think Heroes was the benchmark among 18-34 year olds watching broadcast television. That How I Met Your Mother outperformed Two and a Half Men among the 18-34 year old demo *is* a story. But it’s not likely one you’ll see commented on anywhere but here…

  9. Gusar says:

Terminator is getting clobbered in this timeslot. And the fact that Fox is only promoting Fringe and absolutely nothing else isn’t helping either. But even Chuck did bad, so there’s something really weird going on.

Yesterday’s Terminator episode was amazing, another Saturn award for Summer is a given, and if the Emmys wouldn’t think so low of sci-fi a nomination there would be in order too.

  10. Andrea says:

    Jackson,

It’s a possibility. Heck, I watched the stream on Friday night, didn’t watch it yesterday. I’m trending to watching more streams, especially on the weekend, and skipping “prime time”, myself. I’m going to download more stuff once I get a hard drive extension.

I just noticed that in the 18-34 demo, Life did a 2.5, unless that’s a typo :o Compare that to the demo and numbers for CSI: Miami. I wonder if Life’s audience are primarily living in college dorms.

I’m not sure how much stock the networks place in 18-34, as opposed to 18-49 though.

  11. R.G. says:

Oh…come on!?…DWTS is C-H-E-E-S-Y…the dances and the costumes are horrible…it looks like “CIRCUS With The Stars” or “The Gong Show with the Stars?!!?

Sarah Connor is a great show – …well at least it did better as a lead in show – FOX NEEDS TO MOVE THIS TO WEDNESDAY but at a LATER TIME…I’m on central time and watching a show like this at 7pm is a little tricky – you’re having dinner or still taking care of things because it’s still daylight out – I have to tape it every week to catch it myself…come on FOX…move into the 10pm/9c time slot for these kind of shows – move the local news to a later time!

  12. Andrea says:

Outlander, I always thought Terminator was doomed anyway. First the numbers for spring were not good; I don’t know if any night would have saved it. But I think FOX was doing it no favors by putting it in the 8pm Monday time slot.

  13. Foo Man Chu says:

TSCC is pretty much doomed with under 6 million viewrs and a low key demo. Moving it wouldnt help. While I watch it, I am indifferent to the fact it will be ending soon. Part of the problem is every episode more terminators and resistance fighters appear out of nowhere – I could swallow a few being sent back to different points in time like T1, T2 and T3, but with TSCC its like theres some kind of time highway clogged with dozens humans and terminators. What they should have done is start a series after the Terminator 4 movie was out and make the series about the resistances battle with Skynet – leaving out the time travel for the most part. The most interesting parts of TSCC are the flashes of the future and what goes on there.

Prison Break is thankfully on the road to cancellation. What a total mess that show has become. Stopped watching that one.

HEROES continues to lose viewers – its only salvation is its high key demos.

  14. R.G. says:

…and by the way…they are NOT “stars” on “Dancing (Circus) With The Stars”…Bruce Willis is a star, Julia Roberts is a star, Gene Hackman is a star…

  15. Nat says:

^^^^No matter where you move the bad shows to.It’s not the time or day it’s moved to, it’s the shows it self.A few of those FOX shows stink. They are badly acted and badly written people are tunning out and wising up!

  16. Andrea says:

R.G.: But the retirement community loves it!

Paul: I watched some reruns of Chuck over the summer. It reminded me of She Spies but without the underlining wit.

ETA after crash: A poster on Programming Insider says he has reliable info that Prison Break and TSCC will wrap after 13 eps.

Time for TSCC to shop to Sci Fi!

  17. 1982 says:

Nat, not all shows that get low ratings are bad shows.

  18. Foo Man Chu says:

Im glad CHUCK appears on the verge of being Chucked out the door with under 7 million viewers and a so-so key demo. The guy reminds me of Greg Brady from the Brady Bunch. Never could stomach watching it.

LIFE will soon change its name to DEATH if ratings dont go up. Never watched that one. Wont care when it dies.

CSI Miami? No stopping that juggernaut.

  19. Erica says:

:( I love the CW. And I LOVE one tree hill. I wished it had more viewers! I don’t want it to go off the air. So I think maybe they should change it to a thursday maybe… not much comes on that night.

  20. Nat says:

Foo Man Chu you are so correct PB is absolutely terrible.I can’t watch it any more it’s unwatchable this season is very ridiculous they really messed it up big time.

  21. Anthony says:

All those who say PB is poor since the second season onwards are paramount evidence to the fact they think writers cannot get back to there best. Even the harshest critics of PB say it is now at its best. I advise all those who tuned out to get back into it or at least give it another shot before shooting it down without giving it a second chance.

However the way Fox is handling its shows i doubt that will do much good. Its not the ratings that are killing PB or TSCC. Its the network

  22. sassy says:

what about Worst Week oh my that’s bad.

  23. Andrea says:

^^^No matter where you move the bad shows to.It’s not the time or day it’s moved to, it’s the shows it self.

Nat: This is not necessarily true. Sometimes a move does help increase viewers. One example that comes to mind: Close To Home was a bubble show on Tuesdays at 10pm; it moved to Fridays at 9pm and grew in ratings.

  24. Cameron says:

Looking at ratings for TSCC it’s another one of those shows that a network destroys by changing its timeslot. NBC did it with Quantum Leap, ABC helped to hasten the ratings decline of their number one show Home Improvement and now it’s happening again here. Ridiculous!

  25. sassy says:

I those critics must be on something to say PB is good,no way LOL.

  26. Outlander says:

    Andrea,

Thanks for the insider info. It was destined to happen. I am at least grateful that Fox didn’t pull the plug on TSCC prior to the airing of the full 13 episodes. (i.e. “pull a Firefly”)

I honestly do believe the show’s ratings would have been materially better had it aired Wednesday nights. TSCC wasn’t “doomed” to start with, but I will admit that airing an incomplete first season by itself on Monday nights in January was just not enough to get the show the kind of “buzz” or energy it needed to succeed. TSCC in my mind truly is the first major casualty of the writer’s strike.

Robert/Bill: Any chance at TSCC getting assumed by another network? It has a cult following that would probably follow the show to any basic cable outlet it landed on. Thus, it probably could find a home on SCIFI or FX or something, assuming the economics worked. But I don’t know anything about how the contract was set up to do the show. (See, e.g., the litigation over the effort to move Project Runway to the Lifetime network.)

  27. SG GG fan says:

I totally agree that releasing the show online through multiple platforms (hulu, amazon, iTunes, etc.) affected Chuck’s ratings. We have to bear in mind that only a few households are Nielsen families, and perhaps, majority of these households have already watched them online. So while you may be right about its online viewership being only 300,000 reality-wise, it should be about 3 million Nielsen-wise.

Glad to see Gossip Girl’s numbers up from last week! =)

  28. Anthony says:

Just because someone says they have insider info does not mean it is true. Fox loves PB. Its there biggest money spinner after 24.

sassy: Have you seen PB since the first season? Or any time for that matter?

Andrea: It is not the shows and i will tell you why. PB is the most downloaded show torrent wise, has high DVR numbers, up to the millions and past, and is a juggernaught overseas. So it is not the show. Fact is FOX is overcrowding Monday nights. Putting all its eggs in one basket.

  29. Nat says:

And that show you described is where now? As for Prison Break in particular is just horrible and FOX should bring some new fresh shows or anything than dragging that mess on the air.The show feels and is just dated and doesn’t work imo anymore!

  30. FrankJ says:

I have to wonder if Terminator could move to cable. It’s a Warner Brothers production, that has to make it more of an option than if it were a FOX production. FOX has done the show no favors by putting it in the death match-up of Monday night geek shows and football. And they don’t seem inclined to do anything about it either. There are plenty of nights that they could rule the demo in, but for some reason choose not to. And the early hour is just not working for such a serious show. As one commenter here mentioned, it’s dinner time, people are getting kids settled, just getting home. The later hour is really best for it, when you can really sit down and watch it.

Chuck’s numbers are discouraging too. I love that show. I was expecting 8 or 9 million with all the promotion they’ve been giving it. NBC has to be having fits right now, especially since Heroes looks like it’s treading water. I’m worried that next week may see a drop for Chuck just like Terminator. Two excellent shows that the networks let get chewed up in a face-off that was in no way unavoidable.

  31. sassy says:

Of course Anthony season 1 and 2 and 3. 4 is starting terrible I really can’t sit there and watch that mush anymore.I think I’ll stick to DWTS.

  32. Anthony says:

Nat: 24 is in hiatus till January i believe. Due to Sutherlands..misfortunes.

And how can you say it is dated when the off air numbers are so high? Many more people are using downloads and DVR now. Why?

Because the networks, in this case Fox, is putting all its eggs in one basket.

  33. Andrea says:

    Anthony,

FOX is stubborn. It isn’t going to fiddle around the schedule for two shows pulling similar dismal schedules. Probably the time slot change did affect the ratings, but this show used to average 8 million the last two years, and that was considered so-so. Kevin Reilly wants 10+ million viewers shows, and is banking on his midseason line-up.

I agree that just because someone says that have “reliable info” doesn’t make it so; but it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility either ;)

  34. Andrea says:

It isn’t going to fiddle around the schedule for two shows pulling similar dismal schedules

    That should be “dismal ratings”.

  35. mandy says:

It’s good to see comedies are doing good.

  36. Anthony says:

Does anybody have the link to where this insider said this information?

  37. 1982 says:

I’m not for all this PB hate. It’s fun to watch, even at it’s most OTT. It’s sorta like MacGyver where you just have to go with it. As for FOX bringing in “fresh” shows….They brought in Fringe didn’t they?…Oh right, it’s awful, I forgot.

  38. Johnthemon says:

i think airing Chuck’s premiere a week early on Hulu could have had a bigger effect than you give it credit. While not many people watch shows online after they air, before is something of a different story.

All the same I’m really sad to see its numbers decline. It’s back and better than ever. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled.

I’ve stopped watching TSCC for three reasons. One, I know it will be cancelled, 2 Chuck has returned and 3 it’s just getting repetitive.

Heroes total viewers are in a very sad state. I really hope they go up. If they cancel Heroes I will be really mad. Good demos, so that might not happen.

In short, if they cancel CHuck and Heroes, I’ll have nothing to watch on Monday nights.

  39. Jon, “good demos?”. There is absolutely *NO WAY* NBC will cancel Heroes with those demo numbers. It’s not even in the realm of possibility.

  40. Andrea says:

    Anthony,

Sutherland’s “misfortunes” have nothing to do why 24 skipped a season. It’s a midseason show that was the victim of the writers strike. Now it’s dealing with internal chaos: personnel and scripts.

  41. LifeLover says:

About Life (my favorite show from last year), it seems to get about 20% as many tv ad spots as Chuck or Knight Rider. If NBC promoted the show like it did some of their “favorite children”, it might do better! And it still beat Chuck last night in total viewers, even with ads for Chuck all over NBC. (Not a Chuck-hater, it’s a good show. I just think NBC puts too little into promoting Life….And moving it around Mondays/Fridays to start the season isn’t going to help it either.)

  42. Anthony says:

Andrea: Your right but it still earns money. As does PB.

  43. R.G. says:

^^^No matter where you move the bad shows to.It’s not the time or day it’s moved to, it’s the shows it self.

Nat: This is not necessarily true. Sometimes a move does help increase viewers. One example that comes to mind: Close To Home was a bubble show on Tuesdays at 10pm; it moved to Fridays at 9pm and grew in ratings.

    ——————————-

Also The Original CSI SEASON ONE was on Friday nights – then moved to Thursdays – the rest is history or shoulD I say “present”

  44. R.G. says:

If Sarah ends… then make it so – but–if Sarah ends…the end it right !!

  45. Anthony says:

If Fox goes through with this then it will be anotherperect excample of them putting the shows out to dry. They did it with Drive, Firefly and now PB.

  46. Bill Gorman says:

That Terminator is going to be cancelled is sadly not too surprising.

It ranked as the 6th most likely to be cancelled show in our spiffy new Renew / Cancel Index!

    http://tvbythenumbers.com/2008/09/30/boston-legal-til-death-are-most-likely-to-be-cancelled/5382

  47. Reg says:

FOX needs to show support for it’s shows like it did 24. Move Terminator to a better time slot so that people will get a chance to view it. Up against a “family” get together show like DWTS is STUPID!

  48. bob says:

from my experiances of keeping track of ratings and watching tv, ive noticed that FOX runs things very oddly. Some shows only get 3 episodes to perform and if they dont, they are off the air, but now they have 2 medioker shows, that are stilling running after multiple seasons. Another thing ive noticed, is FOX only promotes one or two things at a time. Right now they are only promoting Fringe. Last year they only promoted Terminator. So i dont know, but i dont think FOX really cares. In january, American Idol and 24 come back, so for now, it looks like they are counting on tuesdays with house and fringe to get them through the fall and hoping to dominate in the winter.

  49. tom says:

i know boston legal doesn’t do well in demos but at least it didn’t drop 1-2 million viewers like most of all the other shows compared to last week.

  50. Adam says:

I’m a Chuck fan, so I turned one of my TVs in my house on to watch it last night. But lets be honest, NBC doesn’t really have any big time programs numbers programs. Hell the Office is outdrawing Heroes now. When you look at some of the crap fest programing that gets thrown out there Monday nights are absolutely brutal for TV shows in the 8 ET and 9 ET tv slot.

It really sucks for Josh Schwartz having Gossip Girl and Chuck on at the same time.

  51. Adam says:

The other thing about Boston Legal is at this point the ratings don’t matter much, and they aren’t going to change from week to week. The show is going into syndication and has a decided end date.

I love when they break the third wall like they did last night…Shatner – “Aren’t there any other time slots we haven’t tried?”

  52. Anthony says:

Fox has just confirmed via there ASKFOX email that the 22 episode season will be shown.

  53. Mandi says:

How many times does Fox have to kill a show before they realize that scheduling DOES matter?? Flashpoint was barely dragging by and set for the chopping block before its time slot got changed. “Shockingly”, its numbers sky rocketed and now its been picked up for a second season. I know that wasn’t Fox, but Fox killed Family Guy with its poor promotion and juggling time slots when it first came out. They cut the show and it was only because of CN that it was brought back. Now it’s one of Fox’s top rated shows!! I’m so tired of this. Fox knows bad ratings don’t happen in a vacuum. If the show is good, give it a chance to find an audience with a proper time slot. LIKE, I dunno… the one RIGHT AFTER BONES on Wednesday??

  54. Deekshant says:

Did anyone notice that How I Met Your Mother came in second in the 18-34 demo?
    *thank the lord*

I think the key demos are much more a priority than total viewers. Which advertiser cares if 75 year olds and toddlers are watching your show? The diaper guys maybe..

  55. Mike G. says:

According to the ads that they ran during TSCC last night, 24 is coming back at the end of Nov. The premiere will be on a Sun night, and I will assume then move to Mon after that.

Will be sad to see TSCC go, but I’m tuning into more cable shows myself, so it will just give me one more reason not to watch network television.

Not surprised about Life’s numbers at all, nor Chuck’s numbers honestly.

  56. Mike G., pretty sure you’re mistaken about 24. All that’s planned for November is a 2 hour 24 movie, “Redemption” on November 23

  57. Michael S says:

This might be the biggest DVR night of the week this year… I know many people and couples who were in a quandry about what to DVR and what to watch live to make sure they caught everything. For me, I DVRed Chuck, SCC, Prison Break, Heroes, and Life, so no conflicts… only two per hour. My friends who are married are forced to find a way to record Gossip Girl and DWTS also… will be interesting to see the DVR numbers when they come out.

  58. Holly says:

It seems a pity that the 24 TV movie is airing on the 23rd…couldn’t they rearrange things for one night and have it air the 24th?

  59. R.J. says:

Prison Break still doing horribe, i can see. CBS Comedys doing good. 2.5 men, #1 comedy on TV! Can’t beleve Mother did a hole episode on locking for a bugur.

  60. Dexter says:

    “Anthony says:
    September 30th, 2008 at 12:41 pm

Fox has just confirmed via there ASKFOX email that the 22 episode season will be shown.”

    FOR WHICH SHOW?????

  61. Anoel says:

So disappointing about T:TSCC. I agree with other posters here that it should be moved to Wednesday. In fact, I’d say the best thing to do is move Prison Break as well and switch Bones to 8 pm. Without another episodic procedural competing, it has a chance to do well or at least much better than the other two shows.

Robert or Bill, I love your Renew/Cancel Index but did you try one for the 18-34 demographic numbers? If you did, how’d that turn out in terms of any patterns?

  62. Bill Gorman says:

Anoel, we don’t see season to date 18-34 data. It might be even better at predicting things than the 18-49 data, but we’ll never know!

  63. Anthony says:

    Dexter: for prison break

  64. Joe says:

I love How I Met Your Mother and last night was another good show in my opinion I mean sure it wasn’t much of a storyline with them trying to find the place with the best tasting burger in NYC but it was very funny add to that Regis and it made for a very entertaining show though I am very surprised at it’s numbers in the 18-34 demo but im glad it happend it’s a great show spread the word…….I also like the Big Bang Theory as for Chuck one thing that may have hurt the number is a lot of people may have done like I did and watched other shows since Chuck is being replayed on Saturday Night??? I am just throwing that out there because I watched the CBS comedies and I like Chuck but I knew it was coming in saturday night my friend also a fan of Chuck is putting it off to saturday night because he watched TSCC so I think that could also have messed with Chuck’s numbers

  65. Dexter says:

Anthony, is that reliable? I mean, did YOU ask them and they answered you? Because I’m dying to know, cuz PB is the best and season 4 is the best so far. ;)

  66. Rick says:

What a shame about the Life numbers. It’s a great program with intelligent themes and a quirky character.

  67. John says:

hey is sarah connor chronicles only 13 eps this yr or 22? each site has different answers for this.

  68. Anthony says:

Yeah i asked them Dexter. You can ask them yourself. askfox@fox.com

  69. Anthony says:

Well news just in..apparently TSCC will be cancelled in order to save PB as Fox does not want to lose PB

    http://www.syfyportal.com/news425418.html

  70. bob says:

wow. FOX is giving 22 episode season to pb. i honestly just dont know how FOX thinks. I never have, and I dont think I ever will. As of right now, NBC has better shows than FOX. I honestly think FOX just needs to clean out thier fall lineup and get like 2 or 3 more new shows, especailly some new comedies, jeez. I also heard that FOX isn’t happy with bones? can anyone tell me why please? Its one of thier highest rated shows right now? Why are they not happy with it?

  71. bob says:

    another question…

why does FOX love prison break so much? I feel like they like PB more than bones. Can anyone explain this to me please?

  72. Anthony, thanks for the link…

  73. Anthony says:

    Rob: No problem.

Bob: Because PB is massive success overseas and is doing decent in the demos.

  74. dave says:

Chuck is a better show than its numbers.

Heroes has some dull story threads. The show needs to trim the fat.

Hulu is a popular website. Chuck may have pulled in a million viewers or more. Will we ever get those numbers.

2.5 men is sub 5.0 in the demo. sad.

  75. Holly says:

    dave,
Even when we do not get the numbers for streaming episode viewing, the networks do. However, if Chuck, or any other show, got 1 million unique streams in one week (or at all), I’m sure there would be press releases about it.

  76. Kel says:

Ostroff is a stupid bitch. It’s no wonder Tom Welling refuses to do any promotion for the show anymore, now that he has seen her true colours. There were no new promos for Smallville or Supernatural, the two best shows on the CW. Absolutely ridiculous. They’re much better than Gossip Girl, 90210 (terrible), and One Lame Hill. The only reason Jensen and Jared are still on Supernatural is because they like working on the show and for the fans. They would move to another network in a heartbeat, I would stake my life on it.

  77. g says:

kel. it’s all teenage crap. if you were a bit more mature… you wouldn’t find the need to call people names. probably comes from watching the cw. so stop watching the cw… it’s rotting your brain.

  78. John says:

terminator to be axed? wtf? why arent you americans tuning in? oh yeah to busy watching stupid danceing with the stars. oh and who are these stars?? bunch of nobodys. the like of stupid desperate housewives and greys anatomy get 15-18 million and terminator isnt. what is wrong with you americans? dont you guys know a good show when you see one?

  79. GRD says:

Newsflash: Tom Welling was NEVER interested in doing promotion, even years ago before the show turned into utter garbage. I remember quite well, it was always like pulling teeth to get him to do promotion. And small blame to him. It’s his choice if he wants to waste the most promising years of his career on a crap show, but I honestly can’t blame him for not wanting to get out there and tell people to watch it.

  80. Klaurel says:

Umm, Chuck and Life was also released to TiVo download through Amazon Unboxed, and that is how I watched them early! :) As well as Lipstick Jungle, Knight Rider, and Privileged.

  81. Kel says:

In response to g, I am probably more mature than anyone else my age. I agologize for calling Ostroff a name once, when all of my friends have done it ten times over. Can I state that she is a fool? To GRD, I am a fan of Welling and NEWSFLASH I think I know a little more about him than you do. He never loved promotion, everybody knows that. But, even in the beginning of season 6 he would put on a smile because he was still relatively happy to be on the show. Ostroff has mistreated Welling and everyone from Supernatural, which is why none of them have done any promotion for their shows in the past year.

  82. Kel says:

Sorry, I meant to say Tom hasn’t done any promotion for the past two years. He used to do a lot up until season 6.

  83. john conner says:

“Well news just in..apparently TSCC will be cancelled in order to save PB as Fox does not want to lose PB”
**Well I went to the link and on 2nd page it says it is just a rumour and no confirmed by fox!
TSCC is a good show, in a hopeless timeslot, wed after bones would be sho much better for it.
Prison Break is still a good show also
they are the only 2 shows I watch besides heroes , and both are to me better than heroes.

  84. bebe says:

The wrong show might be canned get PB out already it’s the bad.

  85. melina says:

I don’t get it why PB has so low ratings. It’s such a great show now.
Even though I was very disappointed about the third season, this season started in a great way and that’s what made me get back to the show.
I suggest everyone to give a chance to the show.
