CW Replaces Encore ‘One Tree Hill’ Episode with Encore ‘Privileged’ This Monday

Posted on 02 October 2008 by Robert Seidman

it initially slipped past me, because it wasn’t directly ratings-related, but it definitely is indirectly ratings-related! CW is not throwing in the towel on Privileged just yet. It’s languished on Tuesday’s at 9pm after 90210. Update: Actually it turns out that both Gossip Girl that will air and the nixed One Tree Hill were both reruns and always scheduled to be, so this isn’t really ratings jiggering maneuver…

Here’s the release:

Please note: On Monday, October 6 (9:00-10:00 p.m.), an encore episode of Privileged titled All About the Power Position will replace the previously listed episode of One Tree Hill titled Touch Me Im Going To Scream, Part 1.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 6

GOSSIP GIRL — (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET)

Summer, Kind of Wonderful (TV-14, DL) (HDTV)

GOSSIP GIRL INVADES THE HAMPTONS / GUEST STARS INCLUDE AUTHOR JAY MCINERNEY, SOCIALITE TINSLEY MORTIMER AND ACTRESS MADCHEN AMICK — As the summer draws to a close in the Hamptons, Serena (Blake Lively) and Nate (Chace Crawford) have everyone fooled into thinking they are a couple to cover up the fact that Nate has been hooking up with a married older woman (guest star Amick) and Serena has been secretly mourning her break-up with Dan (Penn Badgley). Blair (Leighton Meester) returns from abroad with a hot guy on her arm (guest star Patrick Heusinger), making a very jealous Chuck (Ed Westwick) question his decision to leave Blair stranded at the heliport. Dan has spent the summer assisting a famous author (guest star McInerney), but decides to head to the Hamptons to see how things stand with Serena after a summer spent apart. While interning for Eleanor Waldorf’s company, Jenny (Taylor Momsen) sneaks an invite to a much-coveted Hamptons’ White Party at which Eric (Connor Paolo) introduces her to socialite Tinsley Mortimer. Matthew Settle also stars. J. Miller Tobin directed the episode written by Joshua Safran (#201).

PRIVILEGED — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)

All About The Power Position (TV- 14, DL) (HDTV)

MEGAN GETS TOO MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE TWINS’ SEX LIVES / A PSA REGARDING TEEN PREGNANCY AIRS AFTER THE EPISODE — Megan (JoAnna Garcia) is shocked to discover an adult DVD in Rose’s (Lucy Kate Hale) bookbag and even more shocked when Rose reveals she is not a virgin. Rose admits she is planning to have sex with her current boyfriend Max (guest star Andrew J. West), and doesn’t understand why Megan seems so uptight about sexual issues. Megan’s insecurities also show up during a date with Jacob (guest star David Giuntoli) and she fears he is losing interest in her. Sage (Ashley Newbrough) invites Lily (Kristina Apgar) out to a restaurant in order to dig up dirt on Megan, and Megan is furious when she finds out that Lily and Sage were drinking together. Michael Cassidy, Allan Louis and Brian Hallisay also star. David Paymer directed the episode written by executive producer Rina Mimoun and Christopher Fife (#103).
