Thanks to Foxnews and others on Talk radio who helped elect GWB in 2004, we now have a nation confronting domestic and internationally serious issues that require serious thoughtful action. Senator Barack Obama’s political rise has been nothing short of spectacular. The long campaign has tested him under fire. He is ready to lead.

Barack Obama has brought Democrats and Republicans togetherin the Illinois Senate to expand health care to over 150,000 parents and children put $100 million in tax cuts into the pockets of working families. Barack Obama has overcome differences to get things done.

I watch FNC, CNN, and MSNBC just to see what all everyone is saying and to say MSNBC is NOT a totally left bunch of crazies…well you’d have to be a idiot not to pick up on it …and I actually like watching Chris Matthews- however I would rather eat dog crap than listen to Keith or Rachael….

You don’t need a scientific study to know this. You can’t revert back to a study for everything. But it has always been known that Liberals don’t watch as much TV as Conservatives, because more Liberals use the internet and aren’t at home as much. I have Liberal and Conservative friends and the lifestyle’s are different. This was known before I even had more diverse friends. Older people are usually more Conservative, but more and more are staying Liberal even when they get older and that’s why America will be more Liberal i the future. That and the fact, that the baby boomers are getting older and their children and grandchildren don’t have that many kids anymore. There was a study done on this, but this was also commonsense.

Sorry that you took offense to what I said, but I didn’t even say it in a harsh way(guess it’s hard to tell through the internet), so sorry that I struck a nerve. I have Conservatives that work for me and they’ll even admit this.

Here is an actual fact. TV news (cable and broadcast both) is watched by a very old skewing audience, just look at the numbers above. The numbers for broadcast news are similar. Whether age correlates strongly with political philosophy I couldn’t say. I hesitate to make claims I cannot back up.

It is no secret that most of these talking heads on Fox and MSNBC are entertainers. Fox is a far-right, conservative entity dedicated to Republicans with a Republican spin, while MSNBC is a far left station that bends to Democrats. If you want to see how your parties twist their opinions in their favor, go to these respective party stations.
If you really want “fair and balanced,” turn to CNN. As a longtime journalist, in my opinion, Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper are the most fair and unbiased of the TV journalists. Rarely will you see them give an opinion.

If you want to go by those criteria, MSNBC is doing great. Ratings are up across the board and the addition of Rachel Maddow has been a resounding success. MSNBC is no more a mouthpiece for the Democrats as FNC is for the Republicans. Fox’s newcoverage itself isn’t biased (nor is MSNBC’s), but once you get to the main programs, the primetime ones, it’s pretty clear which party each network prefers.

Eventually MSNBC will figure out that their biased coverage will take them down the road CNN took in the early 1990’s. It’s a shame for NBC that they lost the credibility Tom Brokaw, David Brinkley and others like them gave to the network. In just a few years, Mathews, Olbermann, O’Donnel, Schuster all but made this network insignificant whether the Democrats win in Nov or not. In fact when the Dems take full control the ratings will get worse because the Dems will have to defend their for a change. I’m so glad that these ratings are there for all to see, whether you support the Dems or Republicans, in a time where polls are suppose to weigh so much as to what course an organization is suppose to take, NBC and CNBC will continue to be humbled.
