Easy Money, Life, Ex List, Pushing Daisies, ‘Til Death Most Likely to Be Cancelled

Posted on 14 October 2008 by Bill Gorman

The Renew or Cancel Index is updated on a weekly basis, to see the latest list, click here.

The third week of our Renew/Cancel Index finds the shows most likely to be cancelled for each of the broadcast networks being Easy Money (CW), Life (NBC), The Ex List (CBS), Pushing Daisies (ABC) and ‘Til Death (Fox). Other shows in danger are Everybody Hates Chris, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Numb3rs, Dirty Sexy Money and Lipstick Jungle.

The two CW scripted shows on Sunday night produced by Media Rights Capital, Valentine and Easy Money, had their production halted this week as the producer evaluates their future. My guess is that evaluation doesn’t produce positive results. 10/15 Update: They have now been placed on “hiatus”, a nice way of saying “removed from the schedule”. The current announcement says it will be temporary until late November / early December. We’ll see about that.

The premieres last week of Eleventh Hour, Kath & Kim and Life on Mars were good enough to put them into the safe zone. At least for now.

It is still early in the season and shows continue to shift up and down the list. In our original list, for example, My Name is Earl looked in danger, but now it’s edged into the safe zone.  Other shows like Prison Break and Ugly Betty are improving their standing as well. How far from safety is too far to sustain the hope of fans? It’s too early to know for sure, but fans of the shows near the top of the list shouldn’t be making any long term viewing plans.

10/15 Update: The first two airings of Friday Night Smackdown! on MyNetworkTV averaged 1.378 million adults 18-49, noticeably better than both Everybody Hates Chris and The Game, which the CW has airing in that timeslot now.

While the Renew / Cancel index is most geared toward predicting potential renewal for *next* season, my color coding of the list are guesses on what might happen this season:

  1. Cancellation in or before January. The networks have a line up of shows ready to go in mid-season to replace poor Fall performers.
  2. Cancellation in May. Fans for the shows just above the “renewal likely” line will likely be in for some anxiety around show renewal time in April/May.
  3. Renewal for 2009-10.

And now, here is the Renew/Cancel Index list of scripted shows for results as of October 12, 2008 ranked from most likely to be cancelled to least likely to be cancelled:

The Renew/Cancel Index is a show’s Season To Date adults 18-49 viewership divided by its networks Season to Date average 18-49 viewership. Note: Only shows that have premiered during the 2008-9 broadcast season are on this list.

*CW MRC Sunday – The CW has leased its entire Sunday night to Media Rights Capital (MRC). We’ve been told and Mediaweek has reported (correct us if we’re wrong) that these shows are contractually in for a minimum of a 13 week run regardless of results.

**Friday night - Friday is quickly becoming an 18-49 wasteland, so these shows may be allowed a lower threshold for success than shows on other nights.

How did we come up with our list? We found that last season, the future of a show was nearly directly related to its adults 18-49 average viewers divided by its networks 18-49 average viewers. Many other factors may matter, but they all seemed to boil down to that one number. Last season, if a show had better than 92% of its network’s average 18-49 viewership (0.92 in our index) it was pretty safe, below that level it was in danger. We’re not sure what the magic number will be this season, but I’m very confident that our index will still indicate the shows most likely to be cancelled compared to those less likely to be cancelled.

—————————————————————-

For unscripted shows, the results from last season were far less cut and dried. A similar relationship did seem to hold between 18-49 averages, but some unscripted shows survived with very low numbers. My conclusion was that some unscripted shows must be so cheap that they are expected to do little more than fill air time and produce little in the way of viewership. However, it’s likely that In Harm’s WayAmerica’s Toughest Jobs, Wife Swap and Supernanny are in significant danger of being cancelled or not returning when their run is completed. Other shows can be judged by their relative position on our list ranked from most likely to be cancelled to least likely to be cancelled.

  1. Jason says:

    No! It’s a nightmare!!!!

PLEASE WATCH PUSHING DAISIES!!! IT CAN’T WATCH ITSELF YOU KNOW!!!

  2. Mike says:

seriously. pushing daisies should never be canceled. one of the most original and beautiful shows on tv these days. Everyone should be watching. If you missed the first season due to the short run/writers strike netflix it and you’ll love it. It is totally worth keeping around. Set your DVRs.

  3. Rob says:

I am on the pushing daisies bandwagon. everybody should be watching pushing daisies it is very escapist. Pushing daisies is like watching a Disney movie and being able to lose yourself for awhile and also perfect to watch with a significant other

  4. Bill Gorman says:

Jason, “It can’t watch itself you know” wins my vote for best comment of the day!

  5. Theresa says:

oh my goodness. pushing daisies should not be on that list! i know so many people who love this show and look forward to it every week. i know that if i’m having a bad week i always wait until wednesday and things get a little brighter! seriously pushing daisies is the best family show on primetime during the week, and if it is cancelled there will be a lot of unhappy people.

  6. Joseph H says:

“Other shows like Prison Break and Ugly Betty are improving their standing as well.”

Not to forget T:TSCC – was .75, .79 and now .81. Hope before the 13th episode we can break .92!

PS went from .84, .89 to now .88.

I hope for T:TSCC this is a somewhat hopeful sign.

  7. Travis says:

Well i dont think Chuck should be on the list.its a good show that everyone can enjoy. Also for pushing daisies fans im rooting for you guys also. But chuck and pushing daisies shouldnt be on that list.

  8. Joseph H says:

    Correction:

  9. Travis – “shouldn’t be on the list!?” All shows that have AIRED already are on this list. Every show!

You don’t WANT those shows to be in the wrong place on this list — but that’s very different than what “should” happen. I love Chuck and I wish its numbers were better and that it was a slam-dunk certainty that it would come back next year. But wishing for a thing doesn’t make it so. The numbers are the numbers.

  10. Bill Gorman says:

Joseph, correct you are, many shows are moving up (and/or their network averages are moving down), I didn’t mean the reference to PB and UB to be an all inclusive list.

The fact that the network averages in many cases will trend down is quite important. It doesn’t just make shows “look” more valuable, since all that really matters here is the *relative* performance of shows, it makes them *actually* more valuable.

Besides having been very predictive last year, the 0.92 line (or something close to it) makes sense. You’re not going to cancel your average show (Index of 1.00), but anything that’s more than a little bit below average you’re going to figure you can do better than.

  11. Jack says:

Oops, Survivor snuck into the scripted list.

  12. Rachel P says:

    Fans of Terminator:

Be sure to check out this fan campaign that just started that is trying to get Fox to move the show to Wednesdays after Bones (a much better timeslot):

  13. Holly says:

Jack, Well…do we really want to say that it’s not scripted ;)

  14. Holly says:

Oops…I guess html code does work on this site. Sorry.

  15. Holly, it works but it’s real HTML, so you need <> around it rather than [ ] around it…

  16. Holly says:

    Thanks!

  17. Bill Gorman says:

Jack, thanks for catching that. It snuck back to its correct spot ;)

  18. lex says:

tscc, lipstick jungle, knight rider no i like these shows!
Oz tv screws us already with different timeslots and cancleing them..
Prison break lost me as a viewer with that sonya prison crap.
im still hurt from the canning of Moonlight!!!

  19. Thoughtless4U says:

Why is no one talking about LIFE? It is a wonderful show, superb comedy/drama ratio and it is original as well!

  20. Ben says:

The network averages…do they only factor in original episodes, or all episodes, sports matches, and repeats etc from september-may?

  21. Bill Gorman says:

Ben, both sets of averages, network and show, include all episodes aired during the primary day/timeslot, both new and repeat, that are not designated as a “special” by the network.

The “special” designation is somewhat randomly used at times by the networks, but we have no real way of correcting for it, so we take the easy way out and don’t worry about it!

  22. Angie says:

I’ve got to ask. Do you think networks should just re-think what numbers are acceptable for Friday nights?

I mean they cancelled Moonlight with acceptable numbers, they cancelled Swingtown and now the ex-list is on the block.

Doesn’t it cost networks a lot of money to put these shows into production? Wouldn’t they be better off making a one year commitment to a show?

    I’m just asking 8-) V”"V

  23. Holly says:

Expectations are different for Friday night. Last year Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs were renewed without question even though they were below Robert and Bill’s Renewal index. Moonlight was canceled because it was obviously the weakest link in the schedule. Swingtown was a ratings bomb long before it moved to Friday, so that had nothing to do with it not getting a second season, it just meant that they aired all the episodes instead of pulling it mid-run.

  24. Dave says:

It’s looking a little better for Old Christine every week. Hopefully it will put up good numbers again this Wednesday and get it a little closer to the safety zone.

  25. Liane says:

Oh god, please don’t let Pushing Daisies go under! This is easily the most unique and one of the best shows on TV right now. There’s no reason why people shouldn’t be watching it. It’s such a lovely fresh breath of air from mainstream TV cliches and trends.

Maybe if it got more advertising? I rarely see anything for Pushing Daisies aside from the actual show! Market this thing, ABC, come on!

  26. tvviewer says:

People, we so rarely get intelligent shows. PLEASE SAVE PUSHING DAISIES and CHUCK!!! I can’t believe Amurricans are watching crap like The Mentalist and the same old crap. Well, I can imagine it after 46 years of having to endure the rotten taste of the mainstreamers, but I am so sick of being disappointed in my fellow citizens.

  27. angelscrest says:

Like Robert, I enjoy Chuck, but feel that it is facing an uphill battle against Dancing With The Stars. This year, they made some changes in hopes of attracting eyeballs, but I liked the first season better.

It is a mystery to me why they are trying harder to make Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) sexier: she is already one of the most gorgeous women on television. I think that Chuck had eye candy enough, and Chuck should have been playing up its strengths instead of trying to go head to head with DWTS in the eye candy department.

With these popular competition shows like America’s Got Talent and Dancing With The Stars, it is hard for these smaller but terrific productions like Chuck to get a leg up. However, it does give me the notion that America has been longing for variety shows, which had all but disappeared.

  28. angelscrest says:

Angie- I agree with you about Friday nights.

I think that CBS should take this opportunity to rerun the first season of Moonlight in its old slot, and this time actually market it, and see if it pulls the same numbers as it did last year.

This would indicate to me that Moonlight is really the best show for that timeslot. They already have a loyal fanbase who would forgive all if CBS came a little bit in their direction.

  29. clutz12001 says:

So “Eli Stone” will be on the list next week? I am hoping it stays. I wasn’t thrilled with the premiere’s plot, and I wonder if the so-so story had viewers tuning out? The DTWS over-run was part, but maybe not all, of the reason for the half-hour ratings drop? In any case, the story rebuilt itself by the end of the episode, IMHO.

  30. Carol says:

CBS deserves what it gets. You got it, a ticked off Moonlight fan. I didn’t realize that the ExList was in danger of being cancelled, but I’m not surprised. I have not watched even one network program this fall. I’ve found that cable is much more loyal to their winners than the ‘big three’. It is terrible when a person who is not in the magic age group is not considered to be a worthy viewer.

For those of you who are losing your ‘favorite’ shows, perhaps you should abandon the networks, too.

  31. assuit says:

Ahem to that Carol! LOVE MY “NEW” CABLE. After they cancelled my two fav. vampire shows Moonlight and then Blood Ties I got full cable so I could watch HBO and True Blood. I’m enjoying it but its no BT or ML.

  32. Holly says:

What CBS has is two weeks at the top in viewers and the 18-49 demo, with the most shows in the top 20 viewers and top 20 demo for two weeks. I don’t think they’re too upset.

  33. angelscrest says:

    Carol– I am with you.

Tonight I am watching one of the winners– CSI– and it is recycling an old Colombo plot, about the evil hypnotist that programs a girl to put on a bikini and jump off her death from a hotel balcony. Of course, this was also a rip off of a plot from a Dirty Harry movie, where a girl gets high and jumps off a hotel balcony.

Funny how tastes never change, and stories never really change, and yet the networks are ready to kick all the Boomers under the bus because we don’t fit in their narrow little box. I thought all these execs were supposed to be thinking “outside the box.” HA!

  34. Carol says:

Thanks to ‘assuit’ and ‘angelscrest’ for the thumbs up. One thing ML did for me was to get me to expand my horizons – I’ve now read all the ‘Twilight’ books and am in the process of devouring the books that TB is based on. Guess what that does to my ‘TV’ time!! I just can’t decide if I should get HBO or wait for the DVD’s. Do you think TB will be canceled or is it making it? The books are pretty good (not as good as Twilight), and what happened to the Warner Brother’s promise of a ML DVD. I’m sure Nina didn’t expect to increase the income of book writers (not screen writers) when she cancelled ML.

  35. Noah says:

I was just curious, for anyone who can tell me, how do Close To Home’s numbers compare to those of Moonlight and The Ex-List? I may be one of the few people who DIDN’T like Moonlight, but that’s just because I was a fan of Close To Home.

  36. Joseph H says:

    Hi Bill or Robert

Wondering if you could tell us Terminator fans if you think this may be legit or not?

  37. Joseph — no time to chime in with much more right now then “wow, that’s great news!” I trust Hibberd more than just about anyone in Hollywood. If he wrote it, I have to believe it’s legit.

  38. Bill Gorman says:

    Joseph, what Robert said. ;)

  39. Mike says:

    Please,please, please watch “Old Christine”!!
    Funny, funny, funny!!

  40. Joseph H says:

    Hi Robert and Bill

Thanks for the replies!! This has made a lot of us fans very happy tonight.

  41. Sean says:

Oh Please Watch Pushing Daisy’s!! It’s mine and my wife’s favorite show! It’s so witty and funny! Please don’t take away this wholesome show!

  42. Sean says:

Chuck shouldn’t be in jeapordy either! Why are these great funny shows for the family not be watched? I don’t like where some TV shows are headed. To much gore and violence. Those should be on cable. I must admit I watch some of them because the story’s are well written but they could lose the gore. I love Chuck. It has fun action and comedy!

  43. Rachel P says:

Holy CRAP so Terminator has indeed been picked up for the whole season?!?!

    YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

(sorry, I just had to let that out)

Enjoy the full season, folks! ;)

  44. Don says:

“CBS deserves what it gets. You got it, a ticked off Moonlight fan. I didn’t realize that the ExList was in danger of being cancelled, but I’m not surprised.”

Fridays are going to the dogs. No matter CBS is doing well with the crime dramas it has.

I flip to PD a few times but I am one of those people who don’t care for it. It is well acted and written far better than KR but I like KR and PD does not draw me in.

The ? in PD is that the Pie Maker brings back his girlfriend back to life and knows he can’t touch her or he loses her for good so he goes into free lance detective work. Life on Mars makes more sense to me and I rather see that show go on than PD. If not then I can wait for a chance to see the UK counterpart and its sequel “Ashes to Ashes.”

  45. Holly says:

Noah, Close To Home got MUCH better numbers than Moonlight. If CBS is regretting any cancellation decision, it’s canceling CTH for Moonlight.

  46. richard says:

Watched Pushing Daisies, last year, and found it most enjoyable! However this season has been quite disappointing….in fact boring…and with actors like chi mcbride (boston public) swoosie kurtz, michelle greene (la law) and barry sonenfeld, it should be anything but!

  47. Sam says:

The Ex List should have already been canceled. CBS needs to own their mistake.

  48. Holly says:

CBS will be slow to cancel Ex-List, just like they will be slow to cancel the Wednesday comedies. They are trying to diversify a bit and have more to offer than the crime procedurals, and that could take time. If they want another comedy hour they’ll be patient with Wednesday. If they want a primetime soap, they’ll be patient with Ex-List.

  49. Johnthemon says:

about your color scheme, i think it would be more effective to have red/yellow/green instead of red/orange/green. Orange and Red were a little hard to distinguish from one another.

  50. I agree with John that orange and red present a readability challenge, though unfortunately yellow is also very hard to read on some monitors which is too bad because I do like the traffic light metaphor.

  51. Holly says:

    Maybe use a darker red?

  52. Bill Gorman says:

I will fuss with the colors next week.

The standard yellow was nearly invisible on my monitor.

  53. Bill Gorman says:

Oh, who was I kidding, I am not a “wait until next week” kind of guy.

Shows in danger of January cancellation now in new and improved dark red!

  54. Niall says:

“The ? in PD is that the Pie Maker brings back his girlfriend back to life and knows he can’t touch her or he loses her for good so he goes into free lance detective work.”

If it helps at all, Don, you have the two parts of that sentence in the wrong order, sort of. The explanation given by the show in the beginning is that he’s assisting the detective to help support his ailing business, and as a result brings his murdered girlfriend back to life as part of an investigation.
I suppose that it doesn’t matter much; if it’s not your cup of tea, then, hey, it’s not your cup of tea. No skin off my nose.

That said, I’d be rather disappointed to see it go as it was about the only show from last year that particularly interested me, and this year seems a bit of a dry hole to me so far as new show are concerned… but these things happen, I suppose, so I’m trying to prepare for the worst.

  55. Steinmiller says:

Valentine(stupid), Kath & Kim(pathetic, Molly Shannon isn’t funny), Lipstick Jungle(Why did this even get a 2nd season? its terrible)& The Ex List(Moonlight was canned in favor of this, lol)need to be cancelled – they all just plain suck.

Life – seriously what the hell is the matter with NBC this show is great

Pushing Daisies – ABC is becoming to much like FOX.. how about canning Wife Swap instead.

‘Til Death – I’m a fan of this show but have been extremely disappointed with this current season.. I’ll miss it but not as much as some other shows.

Dirty Sexy Money – Leave this show alone you network bastards.. Peter Krause is amazing and Donald Sutherland hasn’t been this good in years.

  56. marenamoo says:

Seriously – NBC has the worst network programming and two of its best shows are in poor timeslots. Life is an absolute gem of a show – it isn’t just a procedural about a cop wrongfully imprisoned, it is about what is freedom and how it affects our life and choices. Damian Lewis is fabulous. The same with Chuck – great show, delightfully cast. What I don’t understand is why NBC is hiding these shows at terrible times. Really Life at 10 on Friday – why not move Chuck and Life to Wednesdays after the god awful Knight Rider and get rid of Momma’s Boys and Lipstick Jungle.

  57. jensen says:

Love Life..Damien Lewis is Brilliant…first saw him on PBS as a rather despicable character and now he is doing a fabulous turn and we like like like him!!!!

Dirty Sexy Money is all that and more!!!! Great cast and yes Sutherland and Jill Clayburgh are wonderful wonderful!!!!!

sorry but I quite enjoy Lipstick Jungle, maybe you just have to be a girl

will soooooo miss Boston Legal..and the brilliant James Spader.

    also love The Unit!

Never liked Chuck or Pushing Daisies…sorry

    hated old christine,
Valentine is lame, Easy Money has an interesting cast but as for the premise and setting, well it is just depressing.

  58. Chris says:

NUMB3RS is at risk? After so many season’s its just gonna get cancelled? I think its doing pretty well for a Friday night show on at 10PM.
I also agree that chuck does not deserve to be on the list.

  59. Bill Gorman says:

Chris, you’re right, the standard of performance for CBS on Friday’s is awfully low, but my guess is that until Numb3rs reaches its index from last year of 0.76 (which got it renewed) that it is at risk.

As for Chuck, its quite close to the safe zone, and there’s a long way to go in the season, so anything can happen.

As for “being on the list”, every show’s on the list, it’s just a matter of *where*.

  60. Holly says:

I think it is very unlikely that CBS will cancel Numb3rs even with lower numbers than last year UNLESS whatever CBS launches at 9:00 to replace Ex-List does really well. I doubt CBS will want to try to launch two new Friday shows, so as long as Numb3rs does better than the 9:00 show, it will get another season.

  61. Bill Gorman says:

Holly, that’s an entirely reasonable theory as well, instead of last year’s level as the threshold, it may very well be the fact that only 1 Friday show is allowed to be cancelled each season, so the threshold is just “don’t be the worst”.

  62. Holly says:

I think this theory only applies to CBS though. All the other nets have shown that they have no problem canceling the entire night.

  63. Holly says:

OK, so I looked up old schedules to check my theory. Since 2003 CBS has launched 2 new shows on one night twice, both on Friday.

Even more interesting…In 2003 there were 50 sitcoms on the schedule! This year? Only 20.

  64. Anna says:

No!!! Pushing Daisies is SUCH A GOOD SHOW!!!! So original, so well written, great acting. It is amazing x10. I would be truly devastated if it was canceled.

  65. Bill Gorman says:

Also note that Numb3rs current index of 0.68 is less than the 0.71 that got Moonlight cancelled.

  66. Don says:

“If it helps at all, Don, you have the two parts of that sentence in the wrong order, sort of. The explanation given by the show in the beginning is that he’s assisting the detective to help support his ailing business, and as a result brings his murdered girlfriend back to life as part of an investigation.”

Thanks and its not quite my kind of show, allthough I do catch glipses of it. Its not drawing me in however.

Sorry for making the Gods of TV very anger.

  67. Joel says:

I love Pushing Daisies! Please watch it!!!

  68. Holly says:

Bill, True, but last years index included a LOT of repeats for most CBS shows, but only a handful for Moonlight. If we only used new episodes (which is the situation we have now), Moonlight would have been significantly lower on the scale.

  69. Rhuw Morgan says:

I’m pretty sure Numb3rs makes it over the 100 episode mark this season though, so the syndication incentive of keeping it around won’t be there any more. I agree with Holly though, and think it will all hinge on how well whatever gets the 9pm slot in January does.

  70. rocco says:

when does the new list come out?

  71. Rhuw Morgan says:

Also just a quick note, Everybody Hates Chris on The CW had an early start on production (as it did last year) and casting call websites (http://www.showfax.com/project_selection.cfm?l=1&t=1) show their prepping to shoot episodes 86 & 87 which would be the the 20th and 21st episode of the season, so it’s more than likely it will be on the air til May at least.

  72. Ligia says:

I Think Dirty Sexy Money, should not be cancele at all! I Just love too much that show, I wait every week to watch it! Pushing Daises too… But, I really can’t do much about it, so, please, I think everyone should watch this two series!

  73. Jay says:

I’ll be pretty ticked if Pushing Daisies gets cancelled. I love that show – everybody needs to watch it! Remember the peanuts/Heroes thing? I swear, if Daisies gets cancelled, the network can expect a mailbox full of rancid pie.

  74. Bill Gorman says:

Jay, you’re confusing your doomed TV shows with crazy fans. The peanuts thing was Jericho.

  75. María says:

    C’mon!!!!
Pushing Daisies is the best show ever! It can’t be cancel!!!!!!!

  76. Tommy says:

    Bring back BIONIC WOMAN !

  77. CF98 says:

Of course Everybody Hates Chris and The Game are at risk for cancellation you put it on Friday night and barely promote it. Its obvious the CW wants to kill the last black shows that are left on TV.

  78. Mohammed Jamjoom says:

Guys how can they put prison break and ugly betty away they’re my favorite series plz bring back the both series :(

  79. Bill Gorman says:

CF98, I certainly don’t think the CW has racist motives for that move, but I do agree those shows were sent to Friday to die (or at least to be forgotten). They don’t fit the mold of the “new CW” which is “only young women need apply”. The fact that those shows feature African American characters is just a coincidence.

  80. Bill Gorman says:

Mohammed, click the link at the top of the post, PB and UB have improved their standing in the latest list.

  81. CF98, and Bill I disagree with *both* of you.

I *do* think race was involved. But I think race is the only reason the shows weren’t already cancelled.

I won’t be at all shocked to see them back one more year either. Especially EHC, since it will have 88 episodes and be only about a half a season away from the 100 episode threshold that syndication seems to love (The Game will only be at 60ish episodes after this season completes, but it is a CPT produced show, and EHC is distributed by CPT).

I’d say CBS does have a limited vested interest in keeping these shows, more politically than economically. Nothing the CW could air here would do much better, so it’s either turn the net back over to its affiliates as it does on Saturday, or air reruns (I think an MHC style deal for Friday nights is out of the question, and it doesn’t look like it will even last for Sunday Nights). If the CW has to worry about Fridays, and winds up having to worry about Sundays too, I think it’s very likely these shows are still around for a while, despite the ratings.

  82. Holly says:

I mentioned this on the overnights ratings thread, but EHC and the Game are both doing better than they were last year after the strike.

  83. Holly S. says:

I LOVE Pushing Daisies! It is so good because it is not only different but it is funny, a beautiful love story, with lots of mystery mixed in! It is so awesome! PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL! Does anyone know what to do to protest and try and save the show before it is too late? Thanks in advance for the information!

  84. Esther says:

I thought Pushing Daisies would be a standard. I haven’t ever seen such fantastic artistry in a show. The actors are fantastic, the story lines are original, and the sets are amazing. Please watch Pushing Daisies. It is only one of two shows I cannot miss. I don’t want it to go away. Netflix season 1 and you will fall in love with it.

  85. Rebecca says:

Oh I’m glad OTH and GG are in the “safe” zone for now :D But Pushing Daisies was so popular season 1, what happened?! I love that show!!! There is no reason to cancel it, Chuck and Ned have just begun!

  86. Allie says:

I cannot believe that CBS is again cancelling very good shows, The Unit, Numbers, When will you realize it it the people over 49 who by the products advertised on these shows???????

Do they realize that the baby boomers are the largest demographic?????

  87. Ammer says:

King of the Hill was just canceled by Fox. So much for being “safe” eh?

In any case, I doubt Ugly Betty will be canceled. It doesn’t have horrible ratings, and as you mentioned in your post, it’s increasing in viewership. I do believe Lindsay Lohan’s stint did increase ratings as well.

  88. Caio says:

Anybody interested in saving pushing daisies should tell everybody they know to watch it,and go to this website, which explains it well:http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=48877516960
