Sarah Palin appeared on Saturday Night Live tonight, delivering the signature “Live from New York…” line.
I know Oprah backed Barack Obama, but some part of her should be worried that if Obama wins (which seems increasingly likely) Sarah Palin will be available to have her own talk show and ratings-wise, she’ll kick Oprah’s ass.
Oh sure, she’s dinosaurs roamed the Earth with man six thousand years ago bonkers, bat sh*t crazy, but…she’s a star. And such a TV ratings star, that in the event McCain loses, there’s no way you’ve seen the last of her on TV.
I worried that once we were seeing her at Tina Fey and her at the same time the resembelance wouldn’t seem so uncanny, but it still totally did. As a bonus in addition to Palin and Fey, you get a cameo from Mark “Marky Mark” Wahlberg, Lorne Michaels dissing the ratings of 30 Rock, and Alec Baldwin. They all were great. We look forward to seeing the ratings, which will no doubt be outstanding, and then drop like a stone.

Pretty sad when the non actors do a better job acting then the professional actor. Sarah at least knew her lines. and of course Tina knew hers. haha
Sarah is sooooh hot. Most men are telling their wives that they are voting for Obama (just so they don’t have to sleep on the couch), but when they get into the privacy of the voting booth—it will be all Sarah.

Sarah was great. It takes much courage to stand up there after all has been said and printed about her and her family. She presented herself with grace and class. She definitely has my vote.
So sad that Sarah Palin, the Vice Presidential candidate, will appear on SNL and not in front of America in the form of a major interview, press conference or Sunday morning news show. Thank god we have 2 candidates of substance, knowledge and competence on the Obama/Biden ticket.

Thank goodness most of us have better things to do than eat bon bons and watch snl. I catch it on replay online but whoever wants to vote because of a skit is sad. No wonder why this country has fallen apart. I hate when people vote and not know why and whom they are voting for.

In my household, we watch SNL to see Sarah Palin. We did not eat bons bons but we ate the cheese and drank wine from our local store. And yes we enjoy Sarah’s skit. She has talents. And we will enjoy it much more when she kicks some non-prodcutive people of the Island after Nov. 4. We are tired seeing our money going to waste.
Kudos to her for going there knowing most of them are Liberals and won’t vote for her. I only saw the skit on this site, but she did seem to do a better job than the rest of the actors… even Lorne did. She can take a punch and roll with it. Gotta love her for her guts! And she does have my vote, but mostly because she is not the Washington establishment. We have been voting in “experienced” people for 50+ years and look where we are. Maybe we need normal citizens running things.

Palin is not a young earth creationist and explicitly encouraged the teaching of evolution in Alaska’s high schools. Come on, Robert. You have a lot of Republican readers — including this one! There are a lot of ways to attack Palin, but please keep it classy, man. That kind of thing is beneath you, with all due respect.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen Saturday Night Live. I was curious… I love it! The Palin skits were fun. Palin was brilliant, like-able, and classy! I have never seen a candidate be so at ease in the moment. Got to see another side of her. Can you imagine, if she were in the Whitehouse. She certainly connects with people.
So what happened to the early criticism of Obama’s “celebrity”? His alleged inexperience? She is nothing but fluff and celebrity with no real experience.

Christine is an idiot… The reason Sarah had to go to those different schools is due to monetary shortages. That’s the reason she went into the beauty contest, to get the scholarship money. Not everyone has Affirmative Action or the ability to yell discrimination if they don’t get what they want(Obama), or Military family legacy (McCain). And she didn’t get caught committing plagiarism like Joe Biden did in law school. Some people do what they can, when they can, where they can. I had the same situation as Palin and had to change schools for just the same reasons.
Palin showed more class than any other politician I’ve seen on SNL in the past.
