  1. Angie says:

Umm . . . didn’t gossip girls tie for THIRD in 18-34 adults? Bueller? Now the CW is just making stuff up!

  2. Bill Gorman says:

Angie, the numbers in our overnight post are for all adults 18-34. The CW focuses only on women 18-34. Segment your audience enough and you can “win”!

  3. Ben says:

Oh my god, Gossip Girl has more audience than SUPERBOWL!
    hehehehehe!

  4. Angie says:

    Hmmm. But . . . they’ posted the 2.2/6 number – the adult number that you had. I’m confused . . .

  5. Angie, they posted both the women 18-34 (3.4/9) and the overall 18-34 (2.2/6). I’m confused about what you’re confused about.

  6. Julia says:

Angie, you’re right, but it’s possible that Fox’s numbers can be rounded to be tied at 2.2, or that due to the live sporting event they actually look much different at 8pm.

  7. Julia says:

Robert, according to the numbers you gave us, GG tied for third. This says they tied for second.

  8. Julia says:

Bill, ABC came in first, FOX came in second, CW tied for third with NBC, at least according to your numbers.

  9. Julia says:

    Dammit. Now I look silly.

  10. Bill Gorman says:

In the interest of making Julia not look silly, I had briefly posted (Incorrectly) that sans Univision CW did tie for second. When I deleted my post moments later, she had already posted after me.

It is my Alzheimer’s at work here, not hers. ;)

  11. Holly says:

    Just now? ;)

  12. Ohhhh….got it. saying they were tied for second among the aggregate 18-34 is a little dicey. with the time adjustments, it was close, but minus Univision (who it doesn’t compare itself too) it is true.

  13. Renee says:

The CW is actually making a little name for themselves, finally. Seems to be a niche-network, but maybe that’s their ticket to survival. The numbers are up, that much is inarguable. It’ll be interesting to watch things play out for them next year.
