Variety reports that Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show will not air this spring as originally announced and that it will start airing next fall (but with a full 22 episode pickup, rather than just 13). The brief story indicates Fox always knew that would be the case. The biggest news perhaps is that politico republican turned democrat, turned blogger, save the world, be green, don’t waste energy while I fly around in private jets and live in a 14,000 square foot home Arianna Huffington has been added to the show’s voice cast. Given her voice, that’s perfect casting!
Skein based on the Cleveland Brown character from “family Guy” had been announced at Fox’s upfront as late spring premiere for this season. But that was mostly for PR value. Spinoff’s like this almost never work. Why do a show based on Cleveland? Other than him being black. Hes a 2nd tier character. It would be like doing a Simpsons spinoff about Ned Flanders – Boooooooooooring. The Stewie Show or the Brian Show would be a better move.
Looks like that leaves room for King Of The Hill to potentially air all of its remaining episodes before the end of May.
dunno some characters for the new show look quite funny… its not judt about Cleveland. Though saying that he only works with the other characters… pretty boring character
I think a spinoff of Herbert would be hilarious. You know that old pedifile guy. lol. It’s the same guy who does Clevelands voice… so it could work… just switch it up. lol
