however it didn’t make sense that cameron didn’t just unload on him with it to begin with. i doubt that chromartie couldn’t have killed sarah or derek in the first “wave” where they’re apparently softening him up/depleting his ammo.

this show would be so good on sunday 9-10, following simpsons/tfg.

Get on with it or at least give us some resolution to some characters who’s fates were left uncertain last season. What happened to the girl who could mimic anything she watched in New Orleans? What happened to Peter’s Irish girlfriend that nobody who watched the show even liked. We still want to know some of these things….

These two shows have NOTHING in common. HEROES isn’t a serialized “puzzle” series like LOST where the entire series hinges on its outcome. I mean, most superhero shows, or movies, don’t have “end games.” This show doesn’t, and it doesn’t need one for it to function properly either.

What it DOES need is better storytelling, and arcs that can comprise an entire season and keep viewers coming back. That has nothing to do with an “exit strategy” any more than ANY other dramatic series on television needs one in order to be successful.

Anybody notice how that shoot out last night was a reprise of the final scene in “Scarface” (the Pacino version)? There’s Cromartie acting like Pacino, getting shot up right and left and not going down. In walks Cameron like the assassin with a shotgun and blows him away!

And the Mexico police station massacre was a reprise of the Arnold police station massacre in the original “Terminator” movie.

And Summer Glau was incredibly HOT in the bedroom scene. I had predicted that she would make a move on John to repair their damaged relationship after she tried to kill him in episode one, and worse, babbling about how she “loved him” – which only angered him.

So what did she do last night? First, she puts on her “seduction array” – hot pants and boots. Then she strips off her jacket, leaving only a thin top before entering his room. Then she closes the doors, establishing that this is going to be an “intimate session” without Sarah or Derek around. Then she climbs on his bed with major thighage showing!

John nervously tries to blow it off by asking her if she thinks Riley will be scarred for life if she sees them in bed. Cameron coolly blows that off by telling him she watched Riley leave “until I couldn’t see her” – again establishing that this is intended to be an “intimate moment” – with Riley on the outs.

Then she tells John that he’s endangering Riley. (Josh Friedman agrees – in the online chat last night, he said he thinks John’s “an idiot” for being involved with Riley – but that John has his reasons.) Then she tells him she knows being John Connor is “lonely”. And that she and future John “talk about that a lot”.

If the Caminator ever makes a more aggressive move on Connor, the kid is TOAST! She’s demonstrated twice this season that she can be major seductive (the first time in the bar scene in “Automatic for the People”). She tried to seduce him last year in the “Vic’s Chip” episode, but that got spoiled when Sarah smelled nail polish and came into the bedroom.

She’s doing this for her hidden agenda, which we know nothing about as yet. But we know she has one because the evidence indicates that she was never sent back by future John at all – she came back on her own initiative. We know that because 1) future John would never have sent back a Terminator not subject to either his or his mother’s orders, not when there was a risk of it going ape; 2) we know she had access to the time chamber, because it was her retinal scan that opened the door for Derek in “D&D”; 3) we know she knows how to operate the time machine because she did it in the pilot.

Trust me – Cameron is going to nail John at some point and make him her slave.

No, that’s the thing. You’re right; it was up against barely any competition. But the numbers it got showed that people WOULD watch it as opposed to simply not caring for it at all. So for example, on Fridays in its new timeslot the only competition really would be Ghost Whisperer. I think TSCC has the potential to do well there. But of course I could be completely wrong. You can never be sure.
