It’s worse than telling a 2 year old to SIT STILL !!!!

Joe, I didn’t tune in to the first episode of “Sarah Connor Chronicles.” However, I did read the comments about it on the net from people who did. Many of them hated it.

Speaking of which, do you ever read the Michael Ausiello blind items? He recently had one about this show (”War Declared Backstage at Cult Fave”). Apparently, Brian Austin Green can’t stand his love interest… the cast hates each other… they’re all crazy. I thought it was a bad blind item, because it was supposedly the product of a disgruntled, ex-crew member — and because it fit “Dirty Sexy Money” more (dysfunctional, unhappy set — thank goodness ABC made it so they don’t have to see each other anymore). But if there’s a lick of truth to it, the FOX execs have seen it. Hence, Friday night. And cancellation.

I was just repeating what Abrams himself said in the interview about “learning from past mistakes”.

I don’t care how many episodes he’s actually written for any of his shows. Fringe is HIS show and all I hope is that it doesn’t follow LOST’s example for juggling plot-balls.

Although The Mentalist is a new show, it fits well in the crime-procedural pigeonhole. Creatures of habit will like it too.

I’m really interested in how the public will react to the new TREK movie. I’ve seen a good bit of it and I’m on the fence.

all the writers pitch the story for each episode, even the exec’s do, therefore theres no telling how many episodes jj was involved in.

besides, the concept and formula of lost was HIS idea, so its HIS show.

I think its biggest problem is it’s up against the NBC line up and the NFL which share much of the same demo. Friday night theoretically could be better.

Also, you are not going to have a huge, key demo audience on Friday night TV. Teenagers, college kids, and young affluent that I know aren’t home.

I think I read that JJ Abrams said he “learned from his mistakes with LOST and Alias(?)” about the juggling too many balls in the air with plots. Which is good, because I had read that no opportunity for viewer growth (new viewers coming in) was LOST’s problem. And 24.

But I read that he plans to have some mythos underlying the whole thing, but most of the episodes will be more self containted.

I hope he sticks to that and doesn’t fall back into bad habits.

DWTS was up, which is good news for ABC, which I watch most. I dont really like CBS, and don’t watch ANY of the shows they watch. Maybe I am biased for not even giving an ounce of my programming to CBS, but I enjoy the shows that i watch.

I am glad ABC was up. Poor ES, it really is an awkward show, and I prefer SVU much more to ES…

I love Fringe. I also like Eleventh Hour, and while Chuck has been disappointing this season…I still DVR it. I’m very happy Fringe does well in the demos for Fox, and that it has House for a lead in. I happen to be a House fan as well. But saying that Fringe is only doing well because it has some good looking leads is wrong. If that were the case, all these other shows that made with the “pretty” in the actor department would still be on the air.

(I will *not* mention Moonlight.. will not mention Moonlight…*grin*)

Its the writing. Its the delivery. Its thse story lines, the plots, the CGI, its a whole lot of things. Why 11th Hour isn’t doing as well as CBD would like – has a lot to do with the fact that its ON CBS. If you don’t keep a certain rating/share on that network, you’re history!

And I don’t know why people keep asking what Fringe would do with T:SCC. That show is on another day, another time slot, and on the same network.

And AI being Fringe’s lead in in the spring is awesome. As long as my new favorite show of the season stays on, I don’t care who they give it for lead in. Well, except Prison Break. That show pulls the whole night down for ratings.

I wouldn’t go so far as to kill off agent Dunham, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Astrid (Jasika Nicole) take a higher-profile role in some of the eps. Jasika seems to have some good energy; Torv seems too pained at times.
