Soon it will be over for a while, but for the week ending November 23, even the Dancing With the Stars clip show made the weekly top twenty in terms of most-watched shows.
This list is really not all that meaningful, but…it’s the list everyone seems to be used to — the overall “most-watched” list. But the rankings are fun to look at, especially when you see NCIS at #3 overall, but #24 among 18-49 year olds. Shows like Grey’s Anatomy and House and even Sunday Night Football this week get pushed down this list, but rank near the top of 18-49 year old viewing.
Of course there are fan favorites like The Office, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother that perform very well among 18-49 year olds, and don’t make this list at all. While 60 Minutes, Cold Case and Without a Trace do very well overall, but are no where to be found among the top 20 shows among 18-49 year olds. Wouldn’t you rather see the top 20 list for 18-49 viewing?
No? I didn’t think so onto this list:

Well I guess CIRCUS WITH THE PRETEND STARS will be around for a while – i still don’t get it…??!!??!!??
…good to see “24″ is off to a good start…
…in other good news: There’s NO sign of “Desperate Housewives” and
Grey’s Anatomy is almost under the knife for good…niether show has out lasted CSI …nice!

R.G., you don’t get it because you’re unreasonable, and irrational at times.
Desperate Housewives isn’t in this list because it didn’t air on Sunday because the American Music Awards did, and you’re also unreasonable and irrational for thinking Grey’s Anatomy is under pressure when it’s the #1 show among 18-49 year olds and leads CSI by 25% in that demo.
[note, I edited the tone of this comment down more than anything because I like Bill!]

Desperate Housewives dead… hah! Do you really think if desperate housewives wasn’t there it would be because it had flopped in the ratings for no reason? Greys Anatomy still kicks ass in the 18-49 and out of like 90 shows it comes 6th in overall veiwership: that its just plain sickatron.

For some reason people are still watching Grey’s. I’d rather look at a static channel that watch this season.

newsflashs to the DH haters, DH was last year #1 scripted show. as always, CBS/ABC dominate al the charts.

Wow CSI still “kills” in total viewership. NCIS is also still murdering House in the total viewers, but House continues to dominate in the demo (I really wish they would drop at least to bottom 10 so they’d pay attention to the quality decrease in that show [House]).
November 27th, 2008 at 9:54 am
NCIS is not ‘murdering’ House, House has a way more higher ad revenue, bigger 18-49 and 18-34 ratings.

Wow! Dancing With the Stars is entering its 8th season and is still the number one show on tv. I think it’s wonderful that American families choose to allow an uplifting and inspiring show such as Dancing With the Stars into their homes in such massive numbers (19.6 million viewers). Thankully we recorded the entire season so that we have something to watch besides Extreme Home Makeovers that everybody in the house enjoys.
