Monday Nielsen Ratings: Heroes Stabilizes, Sarah Connor Fades

Posted on 25 November 2008 by Robert Seidman

Scoreboard ABC CBS NBC FOX Uni CW
Total Viewers (million) 15.55 12.30 6.24 4.94 4.32 1.80
Rating/Share: Adults 18-49 3.7/9 4.1/10 2.7/7 1.9/5 1.7/4 0.8/2
Rating/Share: Adults 18-34 2.6/7 3.0/8 2.5/7 1.7/5 1.9/5 1.2/3

Chuck was down a little bit versus last week, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was down a lot, and Heroes seems to have stabilized. It was up a bit versus last week’s overnight report in terms of total viewers and 18-49 year olds, though it was down a tick among 18-34 year olds. Update: the report I used for the hour had a rounding error and initially Heroes 18-49 result was reported a a 3.7 rating. When I looked at the half hourly data and did the math myself, it was in fact a 3.6 rating (same as last week).

As Dancing With the Stars moves towards its finale, it was up over last week as well. And though I haven’t seen any of this season’s installments other than clips on the Internet, I have to vote for Warren Sapp!

Props to both The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother. Both crossed the 10 million viewer threshold and both have better 18-49 ratings than Heroes (I know they don’t run at the same time, but the world revolves around Heroes!). HIMYM again bested Two and Half Men among 18-34 year olds (and it had the same 3.7 rating among 18-34 year olds that Heroes had). CBS definitely has to be happy with how the 8pm-9pm block has come along on Mondays — the rare shows that are improved over last years performance.

Two and a Half Men had the best 18-49 rating of the night (5.3/12).

Samantha Who? and Worst Week continue to battle and Samantha always seems to have more viewers in the overnight reports, but that’s because a minute or two of DWTS bleeds into the show and is stripped out in the finals. Worst Week still edged it among 18-49 year olds, but CBS can’t be happy with that half hour as Worst Week noticeably underperforms both the Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother in the demos.

CSI: Miami as usual dominated the 10pm hour, though Boston Legal is going out with respectable numbers. My Own Worst Enemy was actually up a bit versus last week in total viewers, but not enough to get NBC to rethink its decision to cancel it. Plus it was flat week over week in the 18-49 demo and down among 18-34 year olds.

My theory that One Tree Hill viewers would follow it wherever it was and watch it no matter the lead-in? Well looks like I had absolutely NO idea what I was talking about! It aired in its *normal* time slot, but instead of Gossip Girl, its lead-in was a repeat of One Tree Hill. The normal 9pm original airing hit a season low.

Last Monday’s overnight report for anyone who wants to compare.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs which are currently in approximately 24.4% of all U.S. TV households. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  1. Julia says:

TSCC under 2.0. Oy. So just how much is WB paying FOX to keep it on the air until the movie is released?

  2. FrankJ says:

DWTS and the CBS comedies are just killing everything. I figured TSCC would at least just stay where it was. Sheesh…did the entire audience just decide to stop watching? I can only hope they just recorded it. I am kinda shocked Chuck was down though, I thought last week’s surprise ending would have bumped the numbers a bit this week.

  3. Jalen says:

OK THIS IS AN OPEN Q&A LOL DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF TERMINATORS NUMBERS WILL INCREASE NEXT WEEK? DANCING WITH THE STARS IS OFF AIR! AND HOPEFULLY VIEWERS FLOCK TO TERMINATOR? DO YOU THINK IT WILL HAPPEN? AND 1 MORE QUESTION CAN FOX CANCEL A SHOW AFTER THEY PUT IN A FULL SEASON ORDER? OR DO THEY HAVE TO CONTINUE THE WHOLE SEASON?

  4. Bill Gorman says:

Perhaps the 11/17 episode of TSCC was a bit too “Twin Peaksy” for some folks and they just threw in the towel. Jalen, Fox could cancel a show at any time, but I think it’s unlikely between now and the end of the season.

  5. R.G. says:

    …((( sigh ))) whatever people…SARAH CONNOR has great episodes…

…and you know what: people in the U.S. don’t deserve good writing programming…so keep you lame talent and no talent competitions…

    good ridens!!!!

  6. imtvfan says:

Young people just love How I Met Your Mother. Its 18-34 demo is the top of the night.

Terminator, Fox isn’t happy, they just give it a full season.

    Heroes finally not drop.

  7. Perhaps the ESPN MNF game was simulcast on Fox in both New Orleans and Green Bay?

  8. btw, I updated the report. I had Heroes with a 3.7 rating w/18-49, but it was 3.6…a series low.

  9. Julia says:

Wasn’t Heroes 3.6 the past two weeks, Robert?

  10. R.G. says:

The lame local Fox affiliate keeps interuppting SARAH CONNOR PROMOS & TRAILERS with their Upcoming news stories of the evening in Tennessee…it’s not helping!

    AAAAArrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh !!!!!

  11. Julia says:

And I checked, football was on NBC in NOLA and ABC in Green Bay.

  12. R.G. says:

UNI beat FOX …come on???? Are u kidding – can we check the numbers again…is someone being a wise guy…..

Just Move SARAH NOW FOX- don’t wait till Feb…I’m afraid they’ll change their minds…and cancel TSCC

  13. Julia, at least as we reported them in the overnights, yes. I’ll change to “tied” series low…

  14. FrankJ says:

I saw something on another forum about how Terminator didn’t air in Philadelphia last night? Is that true? Does Nielsen take this kind of thing into account? I always wondered what they did when Houston got knocked out for a few weeks because of Hurricane Ike.

  15. Jonathan B. says:

HIMYM managed to increase with every episode this sweeps to a new season high, even though the wedding took place before November. THAT is impressive, and I’m so happy that it’s doing so well. I wonder how high it and The Big Bang Theory will go in two weeks without Dancing.

  16. Julia says:

Well, three weeks in a row seems like stability to me. Seems like Heroes will live to see another season. (Unless it all falls apart after the winter hiatus.)

  17. Julia, thanks for checking on the ESPN game local markets. Bill’s Twin Peaks theory is as good a guess as any!

  18. FrankJ says:

There are only one or two more episodes of TSCC this year. I would imagine FOX will just air them and decide what to do after seeing it pair with Dollhouse come February.

  19. R.G., UNI beat Fox in the 8pm hour. No wise guy stuff.

  20. Corey says:

Fox is going to let T:SCC run it’s course. After the reason is over, Fox will then decide it’s fate. All talk about Fox axing it prematurely should stop right now. They have already stated that they are willing to let the show grow an audience on Friday nights.

  21. R.G. says:

    Robert – I know – I’m reaching for straws -

  22. Andrea says:

Wow, never expected people to talk about TSCC and not Heroes here.

Anyway, Worst Week increased .01 this week–how many weeks until it matches, then surpasses, Heroes in the 18-49 demo?

What do you guys think of that?

  23. R.G. says:

NEXT MONDAY NIGHT DEC 1ST….Sarah is up against the Christmas episodes of Shrek & The Grinch – I know those shows received good numbers lasy year… so it looks like the Grinch will be stealing more than Christmas next monday night….

  24. Steve C says:

OMG what happened to TSCC last night? im a huge fan of the show but with numbers like these FOX come on cancel it already.

  25. Cool says:

Worst Weak will never beat Heroes, it keeps losing way to mucch from the lead in (even more with DWTS and SW?)

  26. Andrea, I think 2.5 men was at a season high last night, and Worst Week benefited. Crazy as it is, I like Heroes odds of airing next year better than Worst Week’s.

  27. Matt says:

Shocked on Prison break being down so much you would think after last weeks cliffhanger and them finally getting Scylla last night the rating would be good

  28. Bob says:

FOX’s numbers seem strange to me. SCC was getting very consistent numbers, low but consistent. And i really doubt PB lost 600k after last week’s episode

  29. Rossy says:

    I’m so worried about PB!!

  30. grejun says:

wow, I’m shocked at how low TSCC dipped. With the way it’s going, I doubt it’ll even make it to the Friday night time slot

    Glad Heroes has stablized.

  31. R.G. says:

When I watched “Worst Week” – I thought this was the stupidest person on the face of the planet and popped in a DVD 10 minutes into the show…

CBS has what NBC used to have on Thursday nights…a good line up of funny shows until 9:30pm – so people leave it on the “Worst Week” because everything else is half over and don’t want to get interested in something that will take them from “Two & a Half Men” at the top of the hour the following week

…put most anything there after 90 solid minutes of comedy and it’s going to do what it’s going to do…

  32. Jim says:

    /cry (I love TSCC!)

It looks like DWTS was way up. I guess since tomorrow is the finale, it took more viewers away from TSCC. I am curious to see how TSCC does next week with no DWTS in the way. Man, I hope TSCC works on Friday nights. It is by far my favorite show on TV!

  33. Cool says:

by “Heroes has stablized” you mean “doing mediocre numbers every week”

  34. R.G. says:

Rossy…I read FOX ordered 2 more episodes of PB…on top of what they ordered for a full season – I think it’s going to get 24 episodes…as much as fans have complained about the direction of the show of PB- they seem more dedicated to it than SARAH’s fanbase

  35. Steve C says:

maybe if FOX begged swartenager(i know terrible spelling lol) to make an apperence it might save TSCC. anyone else agree?

  36. grejun says:

By stablized I mean not dropping and dropping and dropping. I’m not saying it’s doing spectacular, but doing consistent numbers is better then continously dropping. Jeez, people climb all over you when you voice your opinion.

On another topic, I never even noticed the numbers for PB! Have they always been that low this season?!! o_0

  37. Andrea says:

Yikes, for a youth-targeted program, TSCC only beats a rerun of One Tree Hill in the 18-34 FOR THE ENTIRE NIGHT :O

I like the show, but I haven’t been watching live. I have to catch up by stream on the eps I’ve missed.

  38. Tony says:

SIGH…Every day I check the ratings and all of my favorite shows are down in ratings. I guess it’s my fault for not liking procedurals. It’s clear the way network TV is going and it’s upsetting. At least I still have Fringe, Lost and cable tv(the last hope for great dramas)

  39. schmokey says:

I gotta say, bummer about MOWE. It’s a good show. I like almost nothing, but I like MOWE. I’ve sampled most of the new shows this season, and it’s hands down the best. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not classic TV or anything, but it’s one of about three hours that I watch as soon as I can once it has aired.

Odd thing is, the buy in on this is really small. Like many people, I waited weeks to sample it because it sounded so incredibly stupid, but the outlandish premise is just windown dressing for the stories. There is very little mythology going on here at all.

  40. Julia says:

Cool, while these numbers are definitely down from where Heroes once was, they still keep Heroes alive and profitable.

  41. Joe Cool says:

Its pretty bad when TSCC gets beat by Cuidado con el Angel. Could TSCC reach CW like levels?

The only thing keeping TSCC from being axed is Terminator 4 tie ins next year. But Id have to think FOX execs asking if its worth keeping around, could it hurt the movie rather than help it? Especially since T4 has nothing to do with TSCC.

I have mixed feeling about TSCC, the acting is sub par ( and plot seems to have almost nothing to do with the Terminator movies. I know its some kind of alternate timeline, but so much of this just seems wrong. John Connor is annoying, sometimes I wish Cromartie would kill him. At least they could have dyed Sarahs hair blond to make her at least resemble the real Sarah Conner and not just some skinny brunette soccer mom. Summer is about the only reason Im still watching it and just because I hate Chuck and dont watch dancing shows and dont care about football unless its the Steelers or the playoffs.

The big problem with TSCC is the ease of time travel and the continuing arrival of people and bots from the future. The movies at least made some sense where 3 terminators were sent back to various points in time followed by Kyle and 2 reprogrammed terminators then the time machine was supposedly blown up according to Kyle after Skynet was defeated to prevent anyone else from coming thru.

  42. Kyle says:

    That’s just your opinion R.G.

Look at the shows steady ratings of over 10 million viewers, always over a 3 in the 18-49 demo. A show that is bad, even with a great lead in, will ultimately fail. After 9 episodes, it is safe to say that we are not looking at a “lead-in” success, rather a new fan base for the show.

  43. Joe Cool says:

Is HEROES still profitable? Probably. But, with a cast as large as HEROES and with alot of effects, if its profitable it must just be just barely. Normally shows like this with under 10 million viewers get axed. Thats the number CBS demanded of Jericho for Season 2.

Its key demo is still decent but after the next break, will numbers be so low it gets axed? Id say 50-50 chance of that. One thing is for sure, its likely the budget will be cut for the next installment. Id think the advertisers are not happy with HEROES and will offer far less than they did for this installment.

With how bad NBC is doing in general, Heroes is ironically a bright spot; despite how far its fallen from its Season 1 glory days. Thats how bad things are at NBC these days. Even so, if ratings fall like they did before this season, I figure its 13 episodes to wrap things up and its out the door.

  44. Corey says:

Joe Cool, I think your wrong about the acting on T:SCC. Before this season started, if someone would have told me that Brian Auston Green would be giving emmy-like performances every week, I would have said their crazy. But, BAG is totally owning this season. And, Lena, Summer, and Richard T Jones, are all giving great performances week after week.

  45. Lunis says:

Aww, TSCC is the best. I really can’t understand why it’s losing the audience. Hope it recovers on friday nights. Anyways if Fox doesn’t pick third season for TSCC it won’t be up when the movie comes, sad.

  46. AC says:

I’m going to say that the drop for TSCC is due to DWTS being so big lastnight. Prison Break dropped a bit too but the logic to it all is that people go crazy for the Dancing in the first hour when Sarah is on then it gets boreing and they switch over to Prison Break so the numbers go up a bit for that timeslot.

    I may be wrong but that’s all I got…

  47. Joe says:

Little miffed about the dip by Chuck, but I remain upbeat about its prospects. Next week is another without a new BBT and HIMYM. Regardless, it was a great episode and I am glad that left the door open for a return by Jordana Brewster.

  48. Julia says:

Joe Cool, Jericho didn’t need 10 million viewers if it could get decent demo numbers. If Heroes falls below 3.0 in the demo after the winter hiatus (which it very likely could, who knows) NBC would be stupid to bring it back. But if it stays at 3.6, as it has for the past three weeks, it’s safe. (Between 3.0-3.5 it’s probably safe as well, simply because it will still be in the top 5 scripted shows for NBC.)

  49. Riff Rafferty says:

R.G., no, 20th Century Fox, the production company of “Prison Break,” wants to make 2 more episodes. FOX, the network, didn’t order them. In fact, FOX tried to cut the order of “Prison Break” from 22 to 16. 20th Television laughed in their face.

You are indeed correct regarding “Worst Week,” though. (Although this is its best 18-49 performance to date, it’s still pretty bad. Much like the show itself.)

  50. Joe Cool says:

Corey, emmy-like performance from BAG? Youre kidding, right? He looks constipated most of the time and seems annoyed just being on the show. I would be totally shocked if BAG were nominated for an emmy let alone win one. Derek seems detached from the rest of the cast just hanging around with the asian chick who does god only knows what with other peoples tooth brushes.

In any case, TSCC is a ratings flop. Its only savior is T4, but I would guess even FOX has its limits. They are already exiling TSCC Friday nights next Spring. Friday nights is FOX’s Hospice for dying shows and stillborn shows like Dollhouse (provided it ever actually airs).

They should have done a series linked to T4 set during the early days John Conner building the resistance army.

  51. TMZ says:

It is my sincere hope that people come back to Heroes once the new arc Fugitives starts. From what I’m reading in the spoilers, these guys aren’t necessarily going to get their powers back. Now, I’m not sure how exciting the show will be if it’s about non Heroic people, but maybe the change of pace will do it some good and bring viewers back. I still love the show and don’t think that it’s as bad as people make it out to be. Still, going from a 10 share to a 7 is not good. NBC might actually be on the fence about bringing it back next year. What a shame that would be.

  52. Jim says:

What kind of numbers does a show need to have to be successful on Friday nights? Surely the bar is lowered?

  53. Julia says:

Jim, the bar is lowered, but even these numbers would probably not be acceptable for TSCC.

  54. Daniel says:

Heroes had a huge episode that started a story arch and I was really upset when it wasn’t even around 9 to 10 million. AARRGGGGHHHH! Hopefully, it can kinda bounce back to 8 mil, next week

  55. Corey says:

Joe Cool, my opinon is not in the minoirty. The majority of critics, who review this show every week, share the same view point.

  56. Vader says:

Julia, you must be joking… If Heroes goes under a 3.0 NBC would be dumb to bring it back? How do you figure that? Nothing in their Wednesday lineup even touches a 3.0 and two of the shows don’t even get a 2.0! Heroes is going nowhere, and I don’t think your top 5 scripted shows criteria has much relevance.

  57. marlacakes says:

P-B was so bad as always, it’s the same thing as the silly season 1 and 2 this show is very past dated.

  58. Outlander says:

TSCC is well and truly dead… I mean, we’ll have to see how next Monday’s episode does without DWTS on to compete against it.

Sad, because last night’s episode was really good, IMO.

  59. logger says:

Chuck being down a little has to be a worry given last week’s cliff hanger.

With House and 24 moving to Monday I fear for this excellent show being back fr a 3rd season.

  60. Vader, at the cost of producing Heroes, its rank in 18-49 and 18-34 viewers is not just relevant, it’s the ONLY thing that is relevant. Comparing it to other shows on other nights isn’t relevant in this case. Especially since the Heroes season two DVD sales seem on pace to be down ~50% versus season one, if it goes under a 3.0, the show ought to be very nervous.

That said, they could get rid of half the cast, reduce costs and the show probably gets better because fans don’t have to follow so many plot lines and my guess is if it dropped under a 3.0, they’d try that route.

  61. Locvea says:

FOX should stop wasting money with Prison Break this season does suck and it should be canned.
I really don’t know why they gave it 22 epis plus additional epis the show is awful.

  62. Joe Cool says:

Jericho never had good 18-49 numbers so it was a foregone conclusion that they would be bad for Season 2, so 10-11 million with a mediocre 18-49 demo of high 2’s would have been good enough. CBS ended up with around 6 million and key demo in the high 1’s.

HEROES will certainly require budget cuts, less special effects and cast reductions. Even if it dropped to 3.0 it would still be back but plans would be made to end the series with the next Chapter after maybe 13 episodes. HEROES has the advantage of NBC’s general ratings being in 4th place so, whereas CBS with much higher ratings would probably dump HEROES faster, NBC will keep it around simply because they have nothing better to replace it with.

  63. Dexter says:

NBC will never cancel Heroes so stop with those (sorry to say that) stupid predictions. But they will indeed cut their budget if this contiinue.

For FOX shows: yesterday was DWTS’s finale so I think this is the reason for less viewers then last week. I think and hope that numbers will go up next week, when there’s no more DWTS. Actually I don’t care for other shows’s numbers, just for Prison Break’s because it’s just so FREAKIN AWESOME, hehe. :D

  64. Fin says:

At least Heroes went up but if this was meant to be a very important episode and could only muster like 300,000 more veiwers Heroes i would say will just continue to fall. Hopefully not.

  65. Fin says:

But Heroes still kicked ass in the 18-39 demos.

  66. Julia says:

Fin, is beating its closest competition by .2 and .3 kicking ass? Especially when it’s a series low?

  67. Jalen says:

TERMINATOR:SCC IS MY #3 FAV. SHOW ON TV [BEHIND 24 AND HOUSE] AND IT IS REALLY GOOD. WHY PEOPLE STOP WATCHING IT…IDK? NUMBERS BETTER INCREASE NEXT WEEK OR I WILL BE REALLY PISSED!!! AND TCC GOES ON A WINTER HIATUS? IS THAT TRUE? AND WHO IS INTERESTED IN SECRET MILLIONARE?????? I SURE AM:)

  68. R.G. says:

Riff…I just don’t think I’m wrong – 4 million drop off at 9:30 then come back to watch the guy on CSI Miami with the Vitamin C deficiency….the other 10 million are leaving it on so their spouse doesn’t see something else to watch…

Put almost anything Between 2.5 MEN & CSI – (((book ends with 14 million)))—- you automatically will have a decent hit.

Next week in our area “Worst Week” gets bumped -

  69. clutz12001 says:

Hmmm, DWTS and 2 1/2 Men jumped, respectively, 0.5 and 0.3 in the 18-34 demo numbers? I get the finale-effect for DWTS, but not sure why the sitcom would jump like that.

  70. Sam says:

I’m glad to see a few other lukewarm and temperate opinions on TSCC in contrast to the supreme fanboy vs. hater regular fare. I love Summer, along with everyone else I guess. John is not as whiny as the T2 John, so I thought it was a step in the right direction. Lena is a good actress but the Sarah character in this was horribly written. She talks a decent game but never does anything smart like the real Sarah would. Derek is an absolutely horrible character that reeked of desperation. It was like by shoehorning a “Reese” in that it would somehow legitimize the series. Brian’s acting in that is average, nothing to be upset about. RT Jones is the worst actor of the bunch. He just mumbles his lines and looks half asleep the whole time (not that they give him much material to work with). RTJ was snore inducing in everything else he’s ever been in and TSCC is no different.

As for the story, it’s entertaining television but something is just off about it. Maybe it’s the frequent time travel, maybe it’s the terminators of the week, I can’t quite say. I’ll be sorry to see it go but I won’t exactly be upset over it either.

  71. Sam says:

clutz, it could be the plot twist on 2 and 1/2. It did end with a bit of a shock last week.

On a different note, there are strong indications that PB is in its last season… but at least they’ll be able to end things completely. I’m glad for that.

  72. R.G. says:

JALEN…from what I know is SARAH CONNOR has new episodes December 1st & 8th…then goes into hiatus…now I don’t know if they will run reruns or take a break completely – but when NEW episodes return – it comes back on FRIDAY NIGHTS STARTING FEB 13TH with the remaining 10 episodes – 8PM/7central just before the new series DOLLHOUSE…

FOX is going to try and pull a SCI-FI night like they did years ago with X-FILES…though I remember X-FILES jumping to Sunday nights after one year – and that’s where I think SARAH should go instead of all this cartoon crap.

  73. Andre says:

Jalen, people stop wacth because this is worst than Moonlight… terrible acting and writing. You’re lucky to get a full season of this crap FLOP.

  74. R.G. says:

OK – “By The Numbers” – I hope to see a GREAT headline next week when SARAH comes back with 5 million plus…okay?

  75. Fin says:

Julia, i mean ‘kicking ass’ as in the show thats at an all time low can still beat out the others (even if close) for the top spot (18-34). I guess ‘kicking ass’ was a over statement thought. But at least this week although the 18-49 didn’t move but the share did.

  76. Julia says:

Fin, first of all, the share has been 8 in 18-49 the past three weeks, and did not move. Second, the share doesn’t matter.

  77. Fin says:

R.G… a headline of positivity? SARAH may get better but it needs more than ‘better’ in the ratings to save its show: fades might be an understatement. Then again this could just be series low and it could rise but its really how far does it rise. Plus i don’t see the word ‘bouncing back’ as a good description more like ‘lolling back with its head down’: the show is in serious danger.

  78. BIG DADDY says:

I say this every week. I would still be shocked if PB doesn’t make it to 100 episodes. The Syndication money and overseas money is just way too big to ignore. Plus you have to have something to take it’s place and i don’t see that show on the horizon when you have bigger holes to fill.

  79. Fin says:

    Oh i though nine, sorry

  80. I would have said TSCC is likely not getting cancelled no matter what *this* season since it was only on to begin with (in my opinion) because Fox got favorable costs from producers due to the forthcoming Terminator movie (and i’m sure Fox also got a fat guarantee of advertising $$ for the movie). I imagine not even Fox thought the ratings would drop *this* low. Perhaps it will actually do better than this on Fridays.

But no matter what, the odds of TSCC coming back next year may be worse than the odds that Bill and I will be competing as the finalists in next year’s Dancing With the Stars.

  81. Fin says:

I agree: but i think FOX hopes the film (i think its coming out in this TV season is it?) could boost the TV shows ratings… or am i just missing the point…

  82. Julia says:

You know, speaking of that, Robert, they really need to do a DWTS: YouTube Edition sometime soon. They can have all the “stars” be various different YouTube sensations (the guy from Evolution of Dance, of course, who would win) rather than D list celebs.

  83. Fin, the movie is scheduled for May release.

I don’t know, but I doubt the notion that TSCC will get a boost from the movie is factoring into Fox’s thinking. people don’t come into serialized shows that way so even if they did tune in they would be completely lost.

Julia, it could happen some day, but if I am ABC, as long as the existing formula is working, I wouldn’t screw with it at all.

  84. Julia says:

I don’t think it would be messing with the formula. They don’t have anyone famous enough to drive ratings. People just watch for the dancing and don’t care who it is.

  85. R.G. says:

Andrea – you must be talking about One Tree Hill -

  86. Csak says:

TSCC is the best show on TV. This is really pissing me off.

  87. Rufus says:

I really like TSCC and it would suck to lose it. I find myself getting annoyed when it ends because I want to keep watching.

I don’t have much time to watch TV, so I try to pick one or two shows each new season based on commercials during the football and hope they are good and last!

    My recent history:

    Smith. :(
    Drive. :(
TSCC. (at least it survived one season!)

  88. Fin says:

I the UK its the same: but celebs at the top don’t want to embarrised or humiliated but i think people on Utube who do it would. Then again its like all things to do with celebrities theres never anyone who you ever heard of (or know much about) but they still work: i is still annoying but i agree with Robert.

  89. CrashMacKenzie says:

This sucks! I can’t enjoy Big Bang Theory’s solid numbers because those numbers are probably hurting Chuck! I like that show, but I’d pull it off the air myself if it would save Bartowski and Co.

On the plus side, only a few weeks til Burn Notice!

  90. Lisa says:

I like some parts of SCC and dislike others. It’s become confusing to follow. When it focuses on John, Cameron, and Sarah (also Derek) then it’s pretty enjoyable. But when it moves to just about any other characters, it becomes basically a mess. I watch Gossip Girl “live” in that timeslot, then MNF once GG ends, and SCC is my third choice at that time. I like it, but not enough to pick it first or even second, and if it becomes harder to follow then I’ll just drop it entirely. It’s one of those shows that’s decent and I’ll make a reasonable effort to catch it (tape it) but if I forget then I don’t much care.

Even if it does go above 5 million viewers next week, that’s not impressive at all. Unless, by some miracle, it goes WAY above 5 million, not just 5 and change.

  91. Anonymous says:

DUDE… I hate reality tv.. this is what all the retards watch… DANCING WITH THE STARS!!!!! Heroes is great.. it’s not it’s fault that the damn writers struck last year and almost ruined it. This season has been good. They’ve tied up a lot of loose ends and have moved the charectors forward well. Monday Night in the fall is brutal.. MNF and ABC’s dailey moronic dose of reality based tv… sold to CATTY GOSSIPY WOMEN… Reality TV is the blight of everything decent in this decade and sadly many more to come. Srsly.. anyone who watch Dancing With the Stars is a loser.. those judges… the moronic contestants.. ALL = FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL… I hate you peopel that watch that show….

  92. Anonymous says:

Heroes needs to move to Sunday Night… OR TSCC should move to Sunday and you could bump Family Guy (THUMBS UP) and American Dad (GTFO the air nows) to Monday at 8est/7cst… Heroes is a great show.. if NBC ruins it they should be flogged to death.

  93. Julia says:

NBC isn’t ruining Heroes. They devoted a ridiculous amount of valuable air time to promoting it next week and got no results from it. Heroes is ruining itself.

  94. Anonymous — so you hate people who watch TV shows you don’t watch? I mean I get being angry at someone who lets their dog poop in your lawn, but this!? Crazy!

NBC *could* move Heroes to Sunday once Football is done, and watch it be mercilessly crushed in the demos by Family Guy, let alone Desperate Housewives…

  95. Julia says:

    next=last

Also, there’s nothing wrong with the timeslot. Heroes was able to deliver MUCH better demos in that timeslot this season, up against the same competition.

  96. Holly says:

Well, since Heroes was originally concieved of as an anthology (with new characters each year), one could say that NBC had a hand in destroying it by insisting they keep all (or at least most) of the original characters, but the writers should have been able to adjust and do a much better job of writing for seasons 2 and 3.

  97. I didn’t even get into last night’s episode largely because it’s passive-aggressive since I shouldn’t even be WATCHING the show anymore. but, i can’t help myself. there were actually a few things to like about last night’s episode, but the Seth Green appearance went totally wasted (he has been *so* great as an antagonist whenever he’s appeared on Entourage) and the continued to desire to make the show as convoluted as possible is annoying. so the Haitian has a brother who uses his powers for evil to torment Haiti?? Now if they were going to do some crossover with Fox where Jack Bauer comes onto Heroes and kicks ass, that might be an interesting plot development, but otherwise, WTF!

  98. Andrea says:

NBC’s midseason schedule: Monday, 8-10pm for January, SUPERSTARS OF DANCE by the producers of American Idol.

Those waiting for the next season of Dancing with the Stars may be pleasantly surprised.

It will be interesting if this becomes NBC’s breakout hit.

  99. Mike says:

I really like TSCC – it’s really a great show. people just need to get over trying to match the movie timelines to the show and enjoy it for what it is. The story is even better than I thought – a good guy:bad guy plot would have gotten old pretty quick – they now have at least 2 factions of terminators on completely different missions, humans that may be double agents, developing AI they can’t pinpoint, it’s just all good stuff.

The fact that a brainless, plotless, talentless show like DWTS is tops in its slot just shows how spoonfed the vast majority of the viewing public has become. If anything, TSCC is too smart for the room and the average “Hockey Mom” just can’t even begin to grasp the scope of the story.

  100. Jared says:

I’m a huge Heroes fan, and like the rest of fans, I’m bummed with the low ratings. Doubt it’ll get canceled, if only because NBC doesn’t really have that many other shows. It really wouldn’t surprise me if the budget got cut for the second half of this season, let alone the 4th season(I’m being optimistic that there will be one). If Heroes does get moved, I’d say move it to the 10PM EST slot on Tuesdays. Right now that’s the time that Law and Order SVU is on, but that has such a solid fan base that it would probably be ok being moved to a Mon 9PM slot. (if I remember right, it started out being on Friday nights) At 10 on tuesdays, Heroes wouldn’t have a whole lot of competition except against Without a Trace(which, on a personal note, I cannot understand the appeal in that show).

  101. Fin says:

Yeah Mondays are just too competitive: its obvious Heroes audience is watching another show on Mondays: i think it would be best at 9 or 10pm Tuesdays.

  102. Fin says:

No i think because Heroes has waned its NBC’s fault for not manipulating its schedule to save Heroes Julia (in my opinion): yes it did better but then people were committed to the show, now they need more incentive to watch Heroes and less to watch another show. Plus Mondays are often bad for Dramas/ Sci-fi which are complex as if you look the shows like require less though (not dumb just have less complication in them) are the ones doing the best because Mondays are the days were your brain is just started working (from having got used to resting) so Heroes i think would be less appealing. Which is why in the UK its on a wednesday.

  103. Joe says:

So no Chuck at all in January??????

  104. R.J. says:

I’m glad to see Worst Week doing the same as last week, but Prison Break is still down, and it went lower than it did last week!

  105. Jesse says:

Chuck needs to be on Thursdays in the worst way. Earl (which I love but would be willing to sacrafice) and that Molly Shannon crapfest could both go away to make room. Or it could replace ER next year. One of the two. I’m not picky.

  106. Ben says:

I’m surprised that this is the episode that Heroes stabilizes after the awful episode last week (relative to the season). Hang in there Prison Break!

  107. Jared says:

I don’t really understand in the appeal to SCC at all. I was interested when it first started, watched the first 5 episodes. Each week I was hoping it would get better, thinking, hey got to give it a chance right? Each week it got worse. The girl who plays Cameron is probably the worst actress I’ve ever seen. Hopefully the show will end well for the fanbase, but I don’t see it lasting after the second season(which i was surprised that it got ordered for a second half this season)

  108. Rachel P says:

    *cries*

Oh, the irony. Anyways, DWTS til get 2 million more viewers than it usually gets, so I’m sure that contributed to the series low TSCC faced. But that REALLY sucks. I can only hope that in its next two weeks it’ll possibly do better since DWTS will be over finally. As long as TSCC is still lined up to move to Fridays in Feb, I’ll be okay. I think it can do well there. At least not worse… I hope.

  109. Rachel P says:

Jared – I suggest you run away now before the mobs here cut you down for that stab at Summer Glau… myself included.

    Just looking out for ya.

  110. Don says:

“With how bad NBC is doing in general, Heroes is ironically a bright spot; despite how far its fallen from its Season 1 glory days. Thats how bad things are at NBC these days. Even so, if ratings fall like they did before this season, I figure its 13 episodes to wrap things up and its out the door.”

I am going to keep harping on this people and to Tim K. and to NBC. Plan your Exit Strategy for Heroes. Your show does not have the shelf life that the sitcoms and crime dramas have.

Nobody else is saying this so I am going to keep saying. Plan the show’s closure next year.

Another strike and Heroes may be DOA

  111. Jared says:

thanks rachel. I should have prefaced that it was just my opinion. I’ll be the first to point out the short comings in my show, Heroes, can’t the say the acting is award winning on that either, but hey a show entertains us, we’re all willing to look past the short comings.

  112. Heroes is a mess. Way too many characters with a totally unfocused storyline. What a fall from a really good season one.

    Chuck

  113. 108 says:

For those who are interested, here’s the ratings analysis for the first 12 episodes of the current (4th) season of Prison Break, courtesy of data published on this site:

    - S04E01 ‘Scylla’ and S04E02 ‘Breaking and Entering’ (Aired at the same night): 6.48 Million Viewers and a 2.6/7 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E03 ‘Shut Down’: 6.478 Million Viewers and a 2.6/6 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E04 ‘Eagles and Angels’: 5.887 Million Viewers and a 2.5/6 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E05 ‘Safe and Sound’: 5.929 Million Viewers and a 2.5/6 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E06 ‘Blow Out’: 5.26 Million Viewers and a 2.0/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E07 ‘Five the Hard Way’: 5.427 Million Viewers and a 2.2/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E08 ‘The Price’: 5.84 Million Viewers and a 2.4/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E09 ‘Greatness Achieved’: 5.24 Million Viewers and a 2.1/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E10 ‘The Legend’: 5.41 Million Viewers and a 2.2/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E11 ‘Quiet Riot’: 5.89 Million Viewers and a 2.3/5 in the 18-49 demo.

    - S04E12 ‘Selfless’: 5.25 Million Viewers and a 2.1/5 in the 18-49 demo.

So for the first 12 eps, the average ratings are 5.73 Million Viewers and a 2.3/5 in the 18-49 demo.

It will be interesting to see how it does next week without DWTS (same for TTSCC). It will be even more interesting to see how well the last 6 eps of the season do, probably with a better lead-in and maybe at a different slot against less/easier competition.

  114. Corey says:

Jared, I’m not trying to be sarcastic when I ask this: Have you watched T:SCC, S2 ep 4, “Allison from Palmdale”? If you haven’t, I think it would change your mind about her acting skills. That episode alone has some journalist demanding Summer get an Emmy nomination.

    http://www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20239137_2,00.html#pagecomments

  115. Vader says:

That’s what I meant Robert. I think they’d start slicing into the budget and axe some characters before they’d just can it outright. It may not be looking too good right now, but if they tried to replace it, I’d be willing to bet its replacement could not score that high in the demo.

  116. Don says:

Nice to see Numb3rs and Cold Case back in the Green. Neither show is an 18-49 sell. More so with Cold Case. Desperate Housewives and Family Guy are the 18-49ers

  117. Matt2 says:

108, thanks for the breakdown of Prison Break’s ratings. I can’t wait to see how PB and Heroes ratings do after Dancing With the Stars takes its winter break. If Heroes and PB continue to pull 8 and 5 million viewers respectively then the morons on the verge of nervous breakdowns over prospective cancellation notices being issued can’t blame it on DWTS. Believe me, ABC doesn’t want to see Heroes or Prison Break or TSCC cancelled either. LOL.

  118. Rachel P says:

And by the way Jared, Terminators aren’t really ones prone to show a ton of emotion, ya know? ;)

  119. Jesse says:

I don’t know how or why How I Met Your Mother has exploded in popularity, but I’m ecstatic about it. I can’t believe the difference a year makes with the ratings for that show. I remember cancellation talk.

  120. Tony says:

To Jared. If you think Summer Glau is the worst actress you’ve ever seen you really can’t be taken seriously. This girl is obviously talented instead of the usual 13 a dozen type. Don’t quit your dayjob. Summer Glau rules and TSCC ROCKS!

  121. nobody_at_all says:

Summer may not be a bad actress, but it’s quite a stretch to say that she’s a great one. Being able to cry on cue is a talent possessed by many performers, including the lousy ones. Just because she was allowed to show some emotion in Allison from Palmdale doesn’t mean that she deserves an Emmy.

  122. Jared says:

No Corey, I haven’t seen that episode, I might have to check it out one of these days. I assume it’s online, right?
As far as everyone else, sorry I don’t agree that Summer is a great actor. I just don’t, alright? It’s only a matter of opinion, didn’t think mine would matter so much…

  123. Maria says:

You should see Summer’s previous work. Very impressive and totally nothing like what she does now. A very versatile actress. If you don’t think she’s great I wonder who is? I can’t name another actress straight of the bat who has more talent.

  124. chris says:

Lol, Jared has no idea what he’s talking about.

  125. Jan says:

Uh, you people realize that it’s pointless to be arguing back an forth about something that is based on opinions, right?

  126. S. says:

Summer Glau is not that good an actress. She only looks good because the other are even worse, and in the TSCC context she actually is the best thing in the show. Maybe the only good thing on the show, once I think about it…

  127. Cat says:

Excuse me? Glau not a good actress? Read all the critical aclaim she has gathered despite her being a newbie. The fans and the critics have it right this time. Her talent cannot be denied. The fact that so many people defend her here says enough.

  128. Julia says:

Cat, your logic does not hold. Fans ganging up on someone saying that an actor/actress can’t act does not prove that that person can act.

(Note: I’ve never seen Terminator and wouldn’t even be able to point out Summer Glau amongst a cast picture, so I have no opinion on her acting.)

  129. morninglightmountain says:

The whole cast of T:SCC is very good, the acting is fantastic storylines great its such a shame that the show isnt picking up the ratings it truly deserves, Summer Glau is a great actress her character Cameron speaks only a little (fitting of a terminator) but when needed can bring intense emotion to a scene – and she is great see her in Firefly and Serenity if you dont believe me.

  130. Mike says:

To Jared, Summer Glau is one of the better actresses on tv. Perhaps if you weren’t an 800 pound, short bus jockey, you’d have an opinion worth noting.

As it is, keep stuffing the cheetos. You will make the world a better place with your passing.

  131. KrelleK says:

If some of you out there thinks she is a bad actress, I was wondering if you have seen her former work, Like the single Episode in Angel, waiting in the wings, or the to soon stopped Firefly, and Serenity, have you tried to see it with commnentaries on, Joss Whedon says she was so damn nervous, if she would be able to make some of those very emotional river tam scenes in firefly/Serenity, and she goes in and makes it atleast to me spectacular job, I get teary eyed when i see them. I even believe that Joss said that the people that where wittnesing this scene being made, that be camera people and such, but also the other actors/actresses endend up with tears in there eyes, seeing it..

  132. Dex says:

Summer Glau is a fine actress, check out not just the “Allison from Palmdale” episode, but also Firefly, where she portrays someone totally different from the emotionless terminator (which she does quite well at too).

TCSS is a great show that I think is suffering because people think they know what its about…the terminator of the week. It isn’t, it has very smart plotting, some of the smartest I have ever seen in a television show. But, shows that you have to think to follow have trouble picking up an audience. Its too bad, really.

  133. Cat says:

Julia, I know what you mean. Fans can be deluded most of the time. Take Britney as a example. No matter how many fans try to convince other she’s talented almost everyone knows that is not the case. She makes money out of singing but she ain’t too good at it, and that’s an understatement.

Summer however is different from most if not all the actresses. You haven’t seen her body of work so you don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m not a fan of hers but I recognize quality when I see it. Believe me, I do this for a living. To the people who bash her, your loss.

  134. John says:

    Summer is the WIN.

  135. Will says:

Jared, you’ve cut me deep man. But I will give you credit for for at least admitting you’ve only seen the first 5 episodes of the 1st season. I believe that the casual viewer may have been short-changed in the first season due to the writer’s strike in that plot lines had to be eliminated when the season was condensed. I highly suggest you invest the time to catch up on the episodes. Besides “Alison from Palmdale” I would also recommend the second season’s 1st episode “Samson & Delilah.” Hulu.com has them all. I’m confident you’re opinion will drastically change. I don’t have a lot of time to invest in TV but I keep up with stuff online. I’m a big fan of House and Numb3rs if that’ll give you an understanding of my tastes. TSCC is arguably one of the best shows on TV. I would love to hear your reaction after giving it a second chance.

  136. Cherry says:

Jared, I also would like to support Summer Glau on this one by telling you that she is an amazing actress. Being a good actress is not just about portraying emotions, in this case it is also about hiding emotions, which she pulls off amazingly well. You’re looking at her acting from the wrong point of view. And if that is not enough to convince you, watch Allison from Palmdale.

  137. Cherry says:

TSCC MUST STAY ON!!! millions will be DEVASTATED if it gets canceled. Its the most original out of ALL these shows (heroes a close second).

  138. Timinator says:

TSCC is the only TV program I find truly compelling. Yes, it is complicated. Yes, you need to watch all the episodes. Yes, you need to pay attention. Sometimes you have to re-watch the episode to understand what happened. You CAN’T channel surf. You can’t half-listen to your chatty partner. The ideas that are presented will stretch and tone your mind. And then there’s Lena Headey: the actress who’s moved Sarah Conner out of the mental hospital and back into fighting for her son’s life, humanity’s life. And Summer Glau, the first Terminator performance to pass the “she might kill me but I have to have her” test.

  139. CrashMacKenzie says:

Cherry, as someone whose done plenty of acting myself, there’s no trick to not showing emotion. I, like most of the tv viewing world, don’t watch the show in question, so I haven’t seen her work in it.

I did see her in ‘Serenity’, though. She was okay.

  140. RREF says:

On the topic of TSCC and Summer Glau:

Although her role in the show doesn’t allow much emotion, there are many other subtleties she adds to her character that bring it to life. For example, on the show, she’s a task oriented robot. Adhering to this strictly, Summer Glau has not done one thing without reason; every smile, every pause, every small fluctuation in her tone of voice. Each subtlety then changes or adds meaning to the character, the plot, or the story. Something even more noteworthy is the way she plays her character fitting to each scene. With one look, one phrase, and especially with one iota of emotion, she can create different kinds of situational atmospheres ranging from intense chaos to suspense to sexual tension. She can even turn it all around and comically cut tension in half by saying or doing something inappropriate; admittedly however, the writers of the show are equally responsible for this aspect. Summer Glau does a good job on her show and she proves that there are many more tools that can give a character depth than just emotion.

  141. fabrice says:

summer glau is a great actress..she is doing a great work in the show

one of the best things in the show is her character and her relationship with
    john connor

TSCC is one of the best shows on tv in many years

  142. logan says:

TSCC is one of the best shows on television. The cast is awesome, and the plots are amazing. This is the one show on television that I can’t miss. It’s crazy to me that others don’t give this show a chance. It is thoughtful, intelligent, suspenseful, and never disappoints.

To all those people who haven’t paid attention to the show, I ask them to give it a chance. Go to hulu.com or fancast.com and watch “Samson and Delilah” and “Allison from Palmdale”. Those episodes are mind-blowing. Summer Glau is an insanely good actress. The rest of the cast is awesome too.

This show is addictive. There’s a reason why Fox hasn’t given up on the show despite the ratings. Fox executives are notoriously brutal when it comes to performance, so they must see something amazing in the show. You will too. Just catch up on the storylines.

  143. dan says:

Summer Glau does a great job. And she keeps getting better.

  144. stoner4life says:

TSSC is the best show since Twin Peaks and should be rewarded for that fact. Plus: keep on bashing TSCC. Just don’t start crying when someone who looks just like you knocks on your door.

  145. Valektburg says:

TSCC is not flawless but I’m totally addicted.
The cast is amazing. And they have something worth to act.
    Summer Glau is just incredible.
She makes believable even some crappy lines.

  146. Rachel P says:

RRef, you are exactly right. Even if the role of a Terminator seems like a walk in the park, it’s not. At least not for one like Cameron. Most people would either be boring or look like plain idiots if they were given the role. But Summer portrays the character in such a way as to give her a soul. It might be hard to notice at times due to a Terminator’s quiet nature, but Summer has given Cameron such an incredible and unique quality that I feel no one else would be able to capture quite the same way. And this is coming from someone who had never even heard of the girl until this show, not to mention thought that the Terminator franchise could never be anything without Arnold.
    Summer sure proved me wrong.

  147. Gusar says:

S., I would advise you to check out Summer Glau’s previous work. In Firefly/Serenity she plays River, a mentally traumatized young girl. In The 4400 she plays Tess, a schizophrenic. You might say both of those roles are that of a “crazy person”, but she plays them quite differently. I didn’t see any of River in Tess. Except that both are full of emotions. Then you have Summer playing a terminator, which is the exact opposite – a terminator has as a rule (though this rule is changing now with Cameron) no emotions. Still Summer nails the role of Cameron. I can’t imagine another actress that could pull this off the way Summer does. This all tells you about the versatility of roles Summer can play – a mark of a good actress.

Summer also has this great ability of having a total blank stare in one second and then burst out in full emotion the next second, and then back to blank stare. See for example the scene with the school counselor in the episode “1×05 – Queen’s Gambit”.

  148. Gusar says:

    Addendum:

Summer does not only act, she’s also extremely good at the physical stuff. She’s an ex-ballerina and had 3 months of fight camp, followed by another 3 months of intense fight preparations for the movie Serenity. The bar fight in the movie, only the flip down the stairs is a stunt double, the rest is Summer herself. The fight against the Reavers towards the end of the movie is all her – and it’s the most beautifully choreographed fight I’ve ever seen. So as you can see, she’s very talented overall: acting, ballet, fighting, she also danced tango and flamenco professionally.

And everyone who has ever met her personally will tell you how incredibly sweet and down to earth and humble she is. Despite all her talents, she says about her “I’m just a normal girl.”

TSCC is definitely one of the best shows ever. The whole cast (and the writers & co as well) are doing such an incredible work. The acting of Summer (ok the other actors as well, I have to admit, it’s just that I have a preference for Cameron) is just close to perfection. There is no way I can describe her talent : she is just amazing and gives so much depth in the story and so much feelings to us…

Keep on this excellent work, Summer, we all support you !!!

Sorry if I offended anyone by saying I don’t like Summer. Just don’t okay. It’s my opinion, just that. Why attack me and call me some 800 pound Cheeto eater or whatever? seriously? I tought we had all at least graduated middle school, but okay…..
It seems she has a lot of fans, and that’s great, maybe I’ll check out those other episodes and Serenity and Firefly, maybe I won’t. I, like everyone else on this planet, am really busy.
So if you love Summer, great, if you don’t, that’s okay too. I respect differing opinions on something that is, after all, only entertainment.

With Summer Glau I found that I spent most of my time on the net not to search for her pictures but I’m more interested in her bios, interviews, facts, trivias, etc. I’m amazed by her talents (from Firefly, Serenity, and TSCC) and it also seems like she’s a nice person (from interviews, forums, and conventions).

In my opinion Summer Glau is great actress.

Yep, I’m another one on the T:TSCC rocks bandwagon.

I’m living my tv-viewing life week to week as these episodes come out.

I think that Summer is acting the role of a machine incredibly well. I remember reading something about Thomas D. finding it hard to act with her in Alison from Palmdale (he kept cracking into laughter) due to the fact that she was acting like a real person and he is used to acting at a blank-ish, cyborg-ish face with her. That speaks volumes of how well she’s taken on that role!!

    TSCC for the win.

And yeah, Jared, we respect your opinion and politely (well, most of us politely) disagree.

Just adding my TSCC-fanboy opinion to the discussion. I find the Sarah Connor chronicles to be the best TV series I have ever watched. I think Summer Glau has really been short-changed a lot. While a lesser known and less accomplished, I believe she is an absolutely brilliant actress. I would be devastated if it got canceled.

I would definitely go back to not watchingn the rest of the disposable drek on TV nowadays.

Everyone please go to your local movie store and rent terminator 1 and 2 and open your eyes. This show is so watered down it doesnt have the darkness and thrilling moments the movies were famous for. Also summer i agree shes a good lil actress. But come on you think the whole cast is great. Now that is a streach in a half.Brian Green what can i say his acting range is as short as his record career.Lena Headly good actress, bad choice for sarah conner.Last but not least john conner.Thomas dekker if i wanted to watch john conner as a emo who acts more like a whiney lil girl ill go watch something else.this is just my opinion and im sticking by it.
