LOST really turned things around in Season 4, after an uneven lackluster Season 3 with its dull “Others Island” plot in the middle of the season. Hopefully Seasons 5 and 6 will go out with a bang. How can you go wrong when you start moving around entire Islands? Its one of the few shows Im looking forward to.
Hopefully “24″ will turn things around after an uneven Season 6 the same way LOST did. The “24″ movie was better than I expected.
LOST didn’t just jump the shark, it ran the whole freaking island right over lots of sharks
I’ll still DVR it and watch the scenes with the eye candy of Sayid (still alive?) and – is Desmond (still alive?). Last season, I found several of the cast to be excruciatingly annoying though. I seriously can’t stand to watch Matthew Fox, Michael Emerson, or Evangeline Lily anymore.
Thanks so much for the link, after a season 3 that I enjoyed but was frustrated with all the cliffhangers and lack of answers I freaking loved season 4 and cannot wait!!
Lost is one of those shows that even when it jumps the shark I still can’t get enough. I’m completely vested now and I have to see this through no matter how crazy it gets. TVLoop members agree because not only is Addicted to Lost one of our largest Facebook apps at over 500K, it grows by 2000 or so every week even in the offseason. Is it January yet?
“Lost” is the greatest show ever in my opinion. I’ve stopped trying to figure it all out at this point because they’ve revealed enough to show us they know where they’re going. Now I can just enjoy the last two seasons without worrying whether it will ever conclude. ABC made the right decision to give the writers an end date as opposed to keeping it on the air for nine seasons before finally canceling it after every viewer has fled. Damon Lindeloff has said from the beginning that it was planned for a 5 to 6 year run, and it was painfully obvious that they were stalling in season 3. The second ABC announced the end date, the pace picked right back up and gave us plot twists we could never imagine. I can’t wait for the new season!!!!
Wow – disappear for a year and expect people to be waiting on their heels for more of the same drivel? Yet I can see by other posts that many are doing just that, but I won’t be one of them. In the first season you caught the attention of many because it looked like maybe dinosaurs were on the island (the airplane pilot was plucked out of the wreckage sitting high up in a tree), but since then you’ve gotten weird – almost like you’re writing the script the day of the shoot with no clear direction in mind. Well screw you LOST! You have been guilty of this lack of focus and then going off the air for great periods of time almost since you started, until trying to keep up with the story became unbearable! You’re doing just like Alias did, and now you too are off my DVR list and will not be watched in my house as long as any of your competitors have anything better than M*A*S*H or Barney Miller on it.
I cannot wait!!!!! the best network show is coming back!

God, I love this show! Can’t wait for the new season.
I really liked Season 3, at least the second part of the season (after the Skate crap) and the storyline if Jack was with the others or the losties.
I really hope they used more of Elizabeth Mitchell character, she’s an amazing actress and the best addition to the show (after Michael Emerson).
