  1. Nomi says:

When Smallville finally ends, I wonder if Supernatural will die without it’s lead-in?

Probably by then, The CW won’t even exist.

  2. Dan says:

No surprise, everything else was in repeat anyway, except FOX.

  3. mswood says:

Yeah except for you know the highest rated show at 9pm on cbs.

  4. rachel says:

SPN wouldn’t die without the Smallville lead-in, last year they aired a SPN repeeat at 8 and then scored the highest they had all that season following themselves. SPN will do just fine without a smallville lead in. There are plenty of times Smallville drops and SPN goes up.

  5. Jill says:

I doubt that’ll ever be an issue anyway – Supernatural’s last season is very likely next year, and although Smallville was supposed to finish this season, its ratings are up and its storyline has a new boost, so signs point towards it hanging around for at least one more year.

  6. Barry says:

    Nomi,

Supernatural has proven, time and time again, that it doesn’t rely on Smallville at all. There have numerous times where it aired an original episode with a low rated Smallville repeat as a lead in. It did the same. There have also been times when SV has dipped drastically, but SN went up from the previous week. SN more than holds it’s own and can stand on it’s own as well.

  7. tim says:

i dont even watch smallville! supernatural is my favorite show. i have been a devoted fan since day 1. i dont watch very much tv so if a show can keep me tuning in every week then it must be good!

  8. Kathy B. says:

I think (yes it is an opinion) that Supernatural would do at least as well as Smallville if it didn’t have the most competitive air time on TV.

  9. lucia says:

smallville audience is very different from supernatural. smallville gets 4.1 million every thursday and supernatural the same with 3.3 million

  10. CaptainCraig says:

LANA BRING ON THE RATINGS!like always!

  11. Allen says:

Smallville still rocks! I like how they are bringing on other DC superheroes on the show. It Smallville is really an improvement over the last Superman themed TV show, “Lois and Clark”. I liked that show, but it was kind of campy. The effects and storylines are better on Smallville.

  12. JT says:

Smallville better than lois and clark because CLANA!

  13. diablo says:

Lana delivers the ratings every time. Viewers, especially women love to watch Lana and Clark.

  14. Kurtner says:

Once Kristin out of smallville, taings will back flushed down to the toilet!

  15. Nick says:

Smallville is horrible now. If you move Smallville to 9 and Supernatural at 8 or to another night where it has less competition I guarantee Supernatural would do better.

  16. Cecilia says:

WTH? Lana’s been out of the show since last season! She was only on the show for five episodes this year and they did not do well ratings-wise! Check your FACTS people! Also when Lana left, the ratings improved! Lana brings down the show’s ratings, but at least she’s GONE!! Supernatural would do perfectly fine without a Smallville lead-in. In fact, if Supernatural had SV’s time-slot, I bet it would bring in better ratings. It’s the best written show on the CW right now.
