Update: The box has now been changed to remove the “Series Finale” language.
I believe this little box that reads “Series Finale” on the Chuck main page of the NBC.com site is a screw-up. Even if it is ultimately true, there’s no way it was meant to be announced this way.

Definitely a screw-up, that has now been fixed. Whether it turns out to be of the prescient Freudian variety or not…

It wasn’t a screw up. It was supposed to be on there when the content for the site was approved last week. I said things were bad, and they were bad. I’ve talked to someone at Warner today (they make it) and they feel extremely confident CHUCK will be back.
GOOD Nick C I hope you’re right and it DOES come back! My heart definitely sunk a little bit when I saw that darn little green box.
Nick, to me it seems no matter how you slice it, it was a screw up or, they would’ve left it on there.

Glad to hear it, Nick C. Hope you´re right. The finale was simply amazing and the last five minutes sent the show in a whole new and interesting direction
I was so bummed when I saw that this morning, now I feel a little better. I’m trying not to get my hopes too high, but I hope Nick C. is right!
Robert, you’re right of course. How ever it wasn’t in the sense that it is what the content people were told to put on there. Someone just didn’t tell them that it wasn’t supposed to be there now. The funny thing is they knew about it last night and yet it still made it on there this morning for quite a long period of time.
Warner is confident it will return and so am I. I think people may be surprised by what all happens, but it’s looking like it will return.

Chuck: Watch the start studded finale online now.
but for HEROES: Watch the entire season plus the ***season*** finale online.

I absolutely hate this. Chuck is a really good show and the people posting on here and many others are backing this show. If in fact this show does get a Third Season which I hope it does we need to get more people involved in this show. It is a smart, witty, funny and adventurous piece of joy. Lets get those ratings up next year if it does get picked up for a midseason or even a full season so then there will definately be a fourth season.
Chuck is now like Schrödinger’s cat – Schrödinger proposed a scenario with a cat in a sealed box, where the cat’s life or death was dependent on the state of a subatomic particle. According to Schrödinger, the Copenhagen interpretation implies that the cat remains both alive and dead until the box is opened.
Now all that is needed is for NBC to open the box so everyone can look inside.

There have been articles all over the web lately speaking about a renewal, but nothing has been confirmed. I am much more positive now than I was about three weeks ago. The ratings though not great stabilized. I think the often seen “they are ordering thirteen episodes” notes we’ve seen are probably about on the mark. They’ll use it as a season lead in or a mid-season replacement and go from there. Again, just my opinion.

I’d just like to point out that during “The Apprentice” on Sunday, they had a banner running along the bottom that said “FINALE — Chuck, Monday 8pm”. It was interesting to note that the banner didn’t say “Season Finale” like it did for other programs they promoted….
I was originally furious when I saw that box, but I’ve calmed down now. However, what I find funny is I bet a bunch of fans now overreact in the opposite direction, and because they took “series finale” down they now assume the show is coming back and they get their hopes up. It’s amazing how much can change for one simple little screw up.
By the way, Nick C. weren’t you just saying recently that it was a 90-10 probability Chuck WOULDN’T get renewed? So how are we now so confident that it will be? Maybe I’m wrong and I heard that somewhere else, but I could have sworn that was you. And if so, you should stop throwing around your “info” and toying with the rabid Chuck fan base’s emotions.
Corey, he retracted that statement a few days later, saying that negotiations had only hit a rough patch or something. Apparently things are looking really good right now. I will still however, hold my breath.
I absolutely love everyone on Chuck. There must be something wrong with us, all of our favorite shows are in peril. Life, Lie To Me and Castle. We really like The Big Bang Theory and it seems to be doing good.
i hope chuck will get at least 13 episodes
well its pretty obvious. NBC wants the net (thats us) and critics to jerk off about their schedule.
If you see whats going on on all the sites, this will be ensured by delaying the renew of chuck until the very last second.
more over chuck is a very good lead-in for heroes, i know many people who only watch heroes cause of chuck.
NBC doesnt want the massiv uproar and rage quitting (heroes) if they do not renew chuck.
but the best reason for chuck to continue: chuck and sarah didnt do it!

this is the only show that i record on dvr every week. it is goofy enough to help me forget the worries of the world for one hour a week…. plus the girls are all cute.
It all changes daily, but until renewed it could change directly the other direction. Today things look good. Tomorrow may be a different story.

Man, I really hope that Chuck continues on for several more seasons…it is truly fantastic. The way it was left definitely would lead one to assume that a third season is imminent. It was a slam bang finish! This is definitely my favorite show on now. Super cast and interesting story lines and let’s not forget the ACTION!! Although I like Heroes, I would rather watch Chuck. And now there is a Super Chuck back in the spy game. Go, CHUCK!!!!!
obvirsly chuck is not the hottest one, but i chase him every monday. i love the feeling he gives me, lovely gals, humor talking, he is so sweet, i mean, home.
i hope i can see his next season. it is part of my life now.

There are MySpace accounts set up for most of the NBC shows. The one for Chuck posted a bulletin which also used the “SERIES FINALE” wording. Within an hour the post was deleted and a correction bulletin was posted in its place saying sorry for the mistake and that it was the “SEASON FINALE”
