Why would NBC be regretting losing Medium? Those demo numbers are quite poor even by NBC's standards... Medium's only above average result is in total viewers but isn't that number supposed to be meaningless?

Here Comes the Newlyweds is in danger! but its Summer so ABC might renew it so as The Bachelorette.

NBC is really stupid for cancelling Medium, it has better demo numbers than most of their shows and has more viewer count than Heroes, Chuck, Friday Night Lights and Southland.

Didn't we were told many times here that what really counts are demo numbers and those aren't that great and below NBC avg. There was also pretty much no competition - either a repeats or weak showings of reality programming. So what is this all of sudden "NBC is stoopid for letting Medium go while it's doing SO great".

I love to see those Medium numbers! They're not great for most networks, but for NBC, that's pretty darn good! Especially after the way Ben Silverman slammed its ratings perfoemance last week. For it to come back and have an outing like that is sah-weet! I hope Ben Silverman is eating his heart out right now. I think the CBS move is best thing that could have happened to Medium, and it is long overdue. Can't wait to see it on a network that will actually treat it properly.

@Travis L: "Personally, about Medium since I’m like the biggest fan of that show,"

I'll take that challenge, lol! I'll bet I could beat you for the title!

Oh, and since we're talking about Mark Sheppard, let me just throw my two cents in. I LOVE him! He's one of the most underrated actors working today. He was great on the Bionic Woman (as shortlived as it was!), but my favorite performance of his was as Dr. Charles Walker on Medium!!

The best bad guy ever on that show!! I wish they could bring him back again, but since Allison sorta banished him, I doubt it'll happen.

Rick Holy: I believe the show with the unusual buffet of delicacies was Fear Factor. I watched it a few times but was not a regular viewer -- and I went off to do dishes or some other housework chore when they got to the buffet offerings.

I think Medium will do well following Ghost Whisperer on Fridays. My only problem is that I have four shows that I watch Fridays at 9 now ... Ugly Betty, Dollhouse, Southland, and now Medium - Thank god for Hulu.com!

Richard S. Hack - you are beautiful, like I used to be, before the hydrochloric acid was thrown in my face by a jealous memeber of parlaiment who questioned my right to party. Whatever that meant, have you ever heard of Edie Brickell?

The painting was great. Aldis Hodge is an artist in real life so some were speculating that he really did paint that painting (probably not). I liked the ex-wife but I'm tired of love triangles so I hope they find a better way to deal with that storyline.

Re: the Bachelorette's ratings - I'm not watching it, but unless I'm not remembering correctly, I don't think the Bachelorette seasons have ever rated as highly as the Bachelor ones.

Shelly: Yes, they've lost the HQ, but I'm sure they can whip something up. They did it before. Their HQ pretty much depends on Hardison and he can whip another one up in a day, probably. They even kept the painting of "Nate's ancestor", you notice!

I'd say as long as they keep the existing writers, they should be OK. Dean Devlin has said he really likes his writers and they give him good scripts every episode, compared to most shows where he says you get a couple good scripts and the rest have to be beat on to be usable.

They spent season 1 developing Nate's alcoholism, which presumably has been addressed by his getting revenge on his old boss. So next season we'll probably see some movement on his relationship with Sophie - probably complicated by a possible improvement in his relations with his ex-wife, Maggie. I'd love to see Kari Matchett become a regular on the show, she was just excellent - and hot - in the last two episodes.

Was just watching a YouTube video clip of Mark at Starfury 3, the Serenity/Firefly con in England in 2006, along with Sean Maher and Jewel Staite and others. I also watched a clip on YouTube where he's watching a video game, talking about how he's mostly a Xbox player but he also has a Wii. So he's a video-game buff, like a lot of sci-fi actors. Seems like a pretty cool guy for someone who plays "self-serving utter bastards" for a living.

Richard, I wasn't worried about the team breaking up, I'm worried because they lost that awesome clubhouse of theirs, LOL! (I was hoping the new headquarters would be Hardison's awesome Mc Hammer mansion that he bought, but I'm hearing rumors to the contrary).

Ditto on the Mark Sheppard love - he also appeared in a couple of episodes of Firefly, so my like of him is enhanced all the more.

I'm also worried about the show falling into a sophomore slump but I hope it doesn't happen.

BTW, I'd just like to comment on Mark Sheppard, who I'm really starting to like as an actor. Despite being a fairly short guy, he plays the classic "heavy" character actor role really, really well,

He's been a regular on TWO shows this season: playing Jim Stirling on Leverage and Ballard's FBI nemesis on Dollhouse.

Classic line from the Leverage finale:

Stirling: "Course you know your entire plan depended on me being a self-serving, utter bastard."

Nate: Yeah, that's a stretch.

Shelly: Don't worry about the Leverage cliff hanger. Breaking up and coming back together is what the team DOES! LOL! Remember episode one, and the penultimate episode, they broke up in both episodes. That's part of the show's charm - are these people who are total work alone types going to stay together?

I read somewhere that the team is moving from LA to Portland since California cops are down on them thanks to Jim Stirling in the penultimate episode.

I just find Portland a weird place to relocate to...But then if they are shooting in Vancouver, it makes some sense, since they can shuffle locations.

Am I the only one who has no idea who these John and Kate people are? Probably. And I'm probably the only one who doesn't give a flying fig who they are either, huh?

I had no idea a show about newlyweds was on, either. Either I haven't been watching much tv or there hasn't been much awareness about the summer tv season starting already.

*eagerly looking forward to Leverage, though a tad bit concerned about where it will go this season considering that cliffhanger*

I agree with those who support the "it's staged" position. OF COURSE it's staged. Funny how this "stuff" comes out just in time for their new season. I actually used to watch this show (not regularly, but every once in a while) when it first came out because I thought it had some appeal seeing how a couple dealt with raising so many kids (all around the same age). But now it's becoming evident it's more about "show me the money" than anything else. But, that's T.V.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder what every happened to that show where people were in a contest to eat really gross stuff (like a cow's uterus, pig testicles, etc. - and see who could "down" the most stuff without ralphing)? I guess that's off the air now, but really what has taken it's place is the T.V. networks finding other ways to "pile s**t on our plates" and see if we'll shovel it in. The sad part is that's EXACTLY what we're doing!! It's just that now the s**t is disguised so that we won't throw up, but actually ENJOY it!

I guess the bottom line for me is after one season - how much more can you show about a couple dealing with raising eight kids and still hold (or grow) fan interest? Sadly, you get one of them involved in a little (staged) hanky-panky. I say bring back the cow uterus and pig testicle eating contests. At least those shows were up front about what you were going to see when you turned them on. As for me, I'll eat a jar of roaches before I watch the John and Kate +8 show again. It's too bad that somehow they just couldn't make a show about the kids and find a way to leave the parents out of it!!

Of course Dumbass and Whore are staging the whole thing! The better the ratings are the more money they will get in their contracts. Even if they didn't stage it the network sure did.

Wow at John and Kate. I mean, a reality show about a family beat all of the shows up there. That's really awesome for TLC, but it's not too amazing for that poor family. I could feel the anger surround me while I was watching, haha.

But almost 10 million viewers? Who would of expected that? These network shows should feel kind of ashamed, being beat by the Gossilins and repeats. Haha.

Hopefully more people tune into John and Kate. =D.

I agree Corey.

One reality show about people who make cakes is already one too many.

Do we really need TWO reality shows about people who make cakes???? Is that what it has come to? Jay Leno on 5 nights a week and multiple reality shows about cakes?

God, TV is uncreative right now.
