Another boring Saturday night of broadcast television.  Unless you are a Detroit Red Wings fan!  Last night’s game five of the Stanley Cup Finals led all broadcast viewing, both in adults 18-49 (1.6) and total viewers (4.28 million).  Keep in mind that these numbers are not time zone adjusted and are especially subject to change, but they are slightly down versus last week’s preliminary numbers of a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating and 4.5 million viewers.  But considering the Red wings were up 5-0 in the second period, that it was only a slight drop from the series opener is probably good news.

One of the final Pushing Daisies episodes tied with a repeat of  Here Comes the Newlyweds (and a repeat of Wipeout did better than both) with adults 18-49.  Harper’s Island couldn’t crack a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating either.  FOX came in second place for the night with the aging Cops/America’s Most Wanted combo.

Last night Harpers Island was amazing, the atmosphere was great, it’s sad it took 8 weeks for it to get to must see status:o
It could have been good from the beginning but the cast was too big then:p

Harper’s Island Has finally gotten good. Like Paul said the atmosphere was great and the bodies are starting to pile up. Its time for those who left to come back. I think now is what they expected then.

Technically, “Worst Week” wasn’t the finale-finale. The finale-finale aired — with zero promotion — back in February. This was an early episode (the 5th, I think?) that was meant to air back in October but CBS shelved for whatever reason. Perhaps they were afraid all the jokes about penises and pot would scare off the 5 people who were still watching.

Admittedly, when CBS skipped over it and then put on a bunch of repeats in lieu of it, I wasn’t expecting it to ever run at all. I wonder if a certain someone saw a certain dig I made about not believing they’d let you see all 16 episodes and decided to show me. (My condolences to “The Ex List” and every single show that CBS launched Tuesdays 10:00 from 2005-2008 that were not so fortunate. I know you were all far more worthy.) And since it can’t be said enough, what a terrible show. I feel poorer just for having ever seen it. And I really feel sorry for the cast for having to perform those awful scripts all season. At least they are finally free.
