“Jon & Kate” was seen by 2.9 million viewers, down 31% from last week, which was down 41% from the ginormous 9.8 million season premiere.
Two sharp drops are expected given the show’s tabloid-fueled debut, though 2.9 a bit above the show’s fourth-season average. Leveling off higher is not unreasonable goal, and this is a pretty fast return to under 3s. Will the show keep dropping, or is this bottom?
Also: Showtime also had some good news. The second episode of “Nurse Jackie” was up 8% to 1.1 million viewers after last week’s record-setting premiere. The first week cumulative viewership for all airings of the “Jackie” premiere was 3.7 million

I absolutely love Nurse Jackie, but I cant help thinking that it should be a one hour drama. There is no comedy to the show really and it is a medical drama in my book. Is anyone feeling like this should be an hour program. I just feel they cut it off way too short as well.
I wonder how TLC’s “The Little Couple” is doing. Its a very good show, and is 100x better than Jon and Kate Plus 8.
i’m sorry, i loved jon and kate plus 8 too. but i really saw the difference in raising sextuplets. the parents were like normal parents good and bad,so down to earth, not flaunting her new figure, etc, and posing on the couch,laughing so hard and playing up to the guys. when the kids did their projects with the choppers since when does she laugh about the mess, where are the aprons and soap.i’m sorry i want to see kate when she is told her show is CANCELED.
Michael C. I totally agree that Nurse Jackie should be a one hour show. There is some humor in the show though. For example, when Jackie flushed to diplomats ear.
Any news on ratings of weeds? i expected a dip in audience viewership. The episode wasn’t very promising and very dark.
the last few Jon & Kate episodes have been pure denial jobs with celeb guest stars. they aren’t addressing the tension or the reality. not that we need to see mom and dad screaming, but this is beyond a brave face
Time to get rid of Jon & Kate. This woman is the American nightmare and the whole thing is just getting creepy. TLC has scraped the bottom of the barrel. “The Learning Channel”…right….
This week is the first week I didn’t watch John and Kate. I think the show is focused more on John and Kate instead of the kids.The whole reason I started watching the show was because of the kids. I feel that this show is no longer about being a family like it used to be. I miss the old days where John and Kate would at least acknowledge each other and go to church every Sunday . I really do think that Kate is to high maintance now. She used to be more relaxed with wet hair and slouchy clothes on. So I am sad to say after watching the show every Monday since it has been on air that I may not be watching anymore. I also think that if you are married you don’t date around just because you as a couple say it is ok .When you go before God and promise to love one another til death does u part that it what marriage means.They should have enough sence to know unless they are already divorced?? I just think the show and Kate are very different . I think it’s time to hang it up and let the kids be kids. Maybe do 1 show 2 times a year!!!!!!
Jon & Kate used to be a show about two “ordinary” people trying to raise 8 kids and do so while having some semblance of a “normal” life. The shows used to be about the kids and the difficulty they had going out in public with so many children.
The series has completely changed. Now it’s about Emeril coming over to cook dinner, the guys from “American Chopper” coming over to hang out. Jon & Kate are now millionaires and whenever the kids go out in public, they end up going to events with luxury box tickets and hang out with celebrities. Or, they end up going on free vacations to resorts all over the country.
I can see how most viewers of the series have lost touch completely with the two of them because the show, itself, no longer holds any appeal — who cares about them getting free trips to Hawaii?
This is in addition to all peripheral “gossip” where both of them look badly, Kate in particular looking like a media whore who just wants her own show. She wraps herself in this “it’s all for the kids” sentiment but it’s completely transparent. If she really cared about her husband or her marriage the show would have ended already. As it is, she might lose both of them!
I can’t believe that TLC has not canceled this show yet. I can’t watch it at all. At first I thought it was too fake and it is still too fake but it is also so boring. Who wants to watch Kate, Kate, Kate?!? Not me, thats for sure. She has turned into such a witch and the tight jeans and heels just make her look like a hooker. She thinks she is so gorgeous and all she is doing is making a complete fool of herself. I saw her spanking one of her kids today. Someone should do that to her. Now THAT I will watch
TLC should pick up “Flipping Out” this is a great reality TV show, we use to get Bravo and I always enjoyed watching it; what you see is what you get! Get rid of Jon & Kate Plus 8 and pickup this reality show!
Kate has over welcomed he time on National TV, I love how she ditched 8 Blessings for her copied book 8 Little Faces; not that I would ever buy either, but that was her way of Ditching her friend Beth from getting a cut of the book; although I think Beth would be the type of person who would donate it to some great charity!
Have to wonder where Jon and his new girlfriend are hiding out lately?
I believe that he isn’t ever going to get back together with that wife of his, he has had a little taste of freedom and is joining it way too much! Really can’t blame the man!
Everytime I see their daughter Mady on any video she is always sneering, or talking back; bet she wishes the reality would go away or just focus on her and not her six siblings. You can tell annoyed she is by all of the attention they get; I bet she will be in therapy for years!
Little Couple and Little People have turned out to be good shows and Duggers what can you say bad about them, they are great family!
Mady better realize quick who built that house and paid for her puppies. Eight kids aren’t cheap to raise.
Far as Flipping Out Goes – that show is still on Bravo.
The Duggars extremely creep me out. They’re a cult unto themselves – like those Up With People singers.
Nurse Jackie was such a surprise to me. It is such an excellent show. I kind of like that it is only 30 minutes long. We have come to expect that this type of show would be an hour long; so 30 minutes is refreshing. The show is so tight this way. Regarding Jon and Kate – I just don’t care about them. I feel that they receive too much attention and press.
The show and the people have changed and it’s not fun anymore. Everything they do now is something that the average person can’t afford. If they see a show they get to go back stage, if they go to a game they get seats we could never get, they go to resorts and stay in rooms that only rich people can afford… does TLC think this is interesting to the common viewer? It has become The lifestyle of the Rich and Famous Jon & Kate. Too bad and too sad… I’ve seen enough.
Looks as if Kate is going to be the next “Terminator Chic” to get canceled!

June 15th episode of J&K was very boring. It was so obvious that this is no longer a happy family. Kate was spotlighting on the interview sofa and Jon was absence. Kate was profiling with tight jeans and heels; she was laughing more than ever. There isn’t much focus on the kids; they’re the reason I was watching the show. Give the kids their space and take away the cameras. J&K, shame on you both, focus on your kids!! Cancel Jon & Kate plus 8. I like the Duggers, Little People & The Little Couple (so cute). I think What Not To Wear is also an interesting show.
I saw a few minutes of ‘jon & kate’ the other day out of curiosity with all the tabloid business and if the rumors of Kate basically driving him out were true. Kate was having a rummage sale and no one showed up, so she called a local radio station, told them that she was from the TLC show and told them to plug her rummage sale for her. WTF?!!!
Matt & Amy Roloff would never do that, and are very clear on drawing the line between their show and their business life. And they sure as heck don’t blantantly exploit their show so openly and publicly. All I picture is that Kate going to a restaurant and telling the manager, “Do you know who I am? Can’t you just comp this meal or us?” After watching 10 minutes of this show I remembered why I never wanted to watch it in the first place. ROLOFFS RULE!!!
TLC: Pull the F***ing plug on Jon & Kate!! Enough already, if I want drama I’ll watch some other baseless, shallow reality show. Watching the commercialization and subsequent implosion of a family with 8 innocent bystanders is sickening! I’m done with the Discovery network programming until TLC pulls its head out of its ass. Family life can be difficult enough without some mellow drama unfolding in prime time to deflate our hope in any families making it work. Although, I admit I appreciate Lor’s comment about seeing Kate when they hand her the news and Conan O’Brien’s comment regarding Kate and “how to make a Bitch shut up”. Now it’s time for TLC to follow suit and shut them both down!!
next Monday’s show is being hyped as the big break episode. An hour long special which should get the buzz for the next few days on the infotainment shows. What’s the secret?

Enough of the greed with Kate & Jon, they have joined the materialism greedy world of fame, with a very sad price to pay, no friends and a broken family. Take those children off the tube, before they grow up and blame their mom & dad for screwing up their lives. What goes around comes around! Trump towers, spas, luxurious vacations, give me a break……….
