“THE MENTALIST” REBROADCAST TOPS THE COMPETITION
CBS First in Viewers and Key Demos Thursday
CBS placed first in viewers and key demos on Thursday, according to Nielsen updated live plus same day ratings for June 18. The Network’s rebroadcast of “The Mentalist” scored first in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 for the night.
NCIS (R) (S) was first in households (5.1/10), viewers (7.61m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.1/07, with NBC) and second in adults 18-49 (1.4/05).
CSI: (R) was first in households (6.3/11), viewers (9.60m), second in adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (1.7/05).
THE MENTALIST (R) was first in households (6.1/11), viewers (8.98m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (1.8/06).
For the night, CBS was first in households (5.8/10), viewers (8.73m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.4/07, with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (1.6/05).
Nice to see repeats of The Mentalist still pulling in the ratings.
Looking forward to the new episodes in the Fall.
Its kind of scary how well the CBS shows do in repeat…
^And to think just a year ago CSI repeats were doing 9.0 in HH.
They should air repeats of Survivor and The Amazing Race.
bring Flashpoint back for new in the summer
CBS shows generally have a lot of stand alone episodes compared to ABC’s soapfest and NBC being somewhere in the middle. It’s a wonder the other networks don’t copy that more.
Vetinari – because ABC hasn’t had a hit with the procedural yet.
I think The Forgotten will be the first procedural hit of ABC.. strong lead in (DWTS Results), no competition (SVU and WAT are gone and The Good Wife is DOA) and it’s from Bruckheimer.
CBS is doing better with repeats, now I know why they don’t make “summer shows”.
