Nice retention. I expected a slight loss as we lose the viewers too squeamish for the sexuality and gore. But I predict a slight upwards trend for the remainder of the season.

This is the one show I cannot miss (partly because I love the show and partly because if one episode is missed, nothing makes sense).

    bravo

Guess I’ll have to catch up on Season one. Kind of got the a feeling like “My Name is Earl” and “Interview with the Vampire” had a Peanut Butter and Chocolate moment :)

  4. Fringefan says:

That’s amazing for HBO considering last week was a free preview

  5. Good line, Lanie. I’ve watched four episodes so far of season one. The show is hilarious and scary at the same time! Sookee’s idiot brother and the nut-cases both of them hang around with are hilarious, while Bill the vampire and the dangerous suckheads HE hangs around with are some scary vampires.

And of course, all the naked babes and insane ridiculous sex positions are icing on the cake.

What other show can you find a guy getting the blood drained out of his penis with a huge needle because he drank a whole vial of vampire blood so the cops wouldn’t find it on him and ended up with priapism? LOL! That is so over the top!

  6. Drew says:

RSH, lol. Jason’s draining was the one moment where I went “Oh man, they can’t be serious.” Although from episode 5 on, the show takes on a more somber and serious tone.

Ah, so that’s the audience. I think its totally annoying and a waste of time which could be used on something better. Guess that’s why I don’t much like the show.

  8. Adam says:

This second episode was so gripping. I don’t see any loss of viewership for the next week, but who knows.

  9. Budo says:

@Kermonk: surprisingly enough, it was my girlfriend who got me hooked onto it. I’d go as far as claim there’s enough eye candy for both sexes, and the gays, to go with good writing, great visuals and acting. It’s not “that audience” at all.

  10. I agree with Budo, there’s something for everybody on this show – as long as you’re not into the “missionary position”! LOL!

Just watched episode 5. Surprised to see William Schallert in it, haven’t seen him in years. And they throw in some shockers at the last minute – slaughtering Sookie’s grandma like that.

Speaking of old time actors, the last two Burn Notice episodes I’ve downloaded had Audrey Landers in them! Haven’t seen her since Dallas was on! And she still looks good. One of the grand old bimbos of the ’80’s! Only thing better than that would be to bring back Stephanie Beacham, a Brit actress I’ve always loved.
